Do Not trust John, who will take your money and if he can't figure out how to fix the problem, he will ghost you not returning any phone calls or text messages. I took my laptop to him for a screen replacement paid him his fee then he told me an additional part was needed that he would order and when I was following up with him, he assured me he was following up to see where the part was and then he decided he was no longer going to take my calls or text messages. He took over $300 from me and never completed the work. Luckily I was able to get my laptop from him to use while he was ordering the other part that I never received so he never finished any work. My laptop was broken and he has $300 in his pocket. Oh, and on top of it when he was trying to fix it, he broke my screen even more. I came to John cause I had managed to screw up an install of some new components for my PC. He got back to me with the issue (basically fried the Motherboard) within a day. He was incredibly helpful, letting me know what needed to be replaced (and giving great suggestions). I can't recommend this guy enough. the knowledge John has about computers makes it so I always know I'm getting a good deal. He truly cares about his customers and ive been having pc trouble for an entire year now but he's always there to answer my questions (for free) and provide me the best service possible. his prices aren't anything to complain about either. John no return call in some days now and no word on my Dell Computer delivery today. That other company who promised they would recover all photos for 1000 bucks recovered nothing. There are some other issues too. I don't like cancelled appointments because some wealthy banker wanted to see you first. I'm a decorated combat vet and I think that I come first. read more

I literally called this company at 12:30AM this morning to ask questions about my laptop because it kept restarting and I didn't know how to fix the issue. He flat out gave me the worst case scenario possible; I asked if there were any other ways I could fix the issue he said no I'm stuck at ground 0... if I don't get it fixed it's going to keep doing that. I said ok... how much will it be he said 85-115$ for labor.... plus the windows installation so I'm looking at 250$+... I said I might as well buy a new laptop he said, well how about I just do it for 220$ that's 30$ off... I said I'm not spending more than 200$. He said ok 200$ it is. That's 50$ off your total. He then asked if he can come pick up the laptop( which just sounds flat out sketchy). He says he's a mobile unit. I then asked when will I get it back he said 9-10AM... he literally just told me it will take an hour... when I first got on the phone. If Your 24/7 why can't I get it any sooner... anywho so I'm like ok I'll do 200$ I have to run to the bank I'll be home in 5mins; meet me in the front. When I get to the bank I start thinking to myself that the laptop I have doesn't even cost 200$ lol... so might as well buy a new one. Not only that I just bought the laptop for 100$. So that's 300$ I will spend on this item.(3 new laptops) I figure out it wasn't worth it and now I'm like ok, let me google this really quick to see if I can solve the restarting issue myself before I do anything stupid. Long story short! I resolved my restarting issue by holding down alt and F10. Yet this "professional" says there's no other way I can possibly get my issue fixed without letting him fix it and me actually downgrading my windows 10 to windows 7... because windows 10 installation cost 280$+. I had found John on Alignable and saw that there were some very good reviews. I had also check other possible resources as well. I was surprised to see only one here about someone buying a computer for $100... (good luck with that!) , so here I go to chime in. I have my own business as well as my family's computers. I saw that he seemed fair about his pricing and was time considerate, which was what I really needed. My work laptop's screen was flickering so bad that I would keep the lid shut and use external monitors. As I need to visit client sites, this was becoming a problem. I've often fixed my own computers successfully, but I took this one apart and tried to replace the cable to the monitor twice, with no success. Bringing it to be serviced at Toshiba certified would be $300 just for diagnostics! Because of his location, I was hesitant, thinking there would be a travel charge, and I certainly didn't want to drive from SE Chandler to El Mirage! To my surprise, he came out to our side of town, took both my work laptop and my daughter's dying refurbished Lenovo. He was honest about what he found and what could be fixed. We took a moment to decide if they were worth fixing in comparison to their possible replacements. We pronounced my daughter's computer death, as I believe she left it in her car, in the heat here in AZ just a few too many times. For mine, he took the cost to diagnose and absorbed it into the repair. He drove back out to Chandler and had it back in no time at all. The price was WAY below what I had imagined it to be. Because we had finally found an honest repair person, we sent him off with one more family laptop which was purchased back in 2011-2012. It must have been like working on an old car for him. Easier access to parts that are fixable maybe? He's held onto it at my request and will meet me in Glendale during a week long conference He'll return the old computer for my youngest son to still use. AND he'll leave with my business partner's flickering screened laptop! He's good people, he's honest and willing to look into different options in consideration of who is using the computer and what they are using it for. Highly recommended!! read more
