16 April 2025: This is the single worst service provider that we have ever encountered! We cannot give them a quality, service, or value rating since there is zero quality, service, or value orassociated with this company. In fact the service provided by this company is actually and very accurately reflected in the company name (WASTE). They are a WASTE of your time and money! Our contract renewal was in January, as of today, 16 April 2025 we have not received a phone call to schedule a service . After deciding thatwe'd had enough, we notified the company that we were not going to renew with them, almost immiadetly, we received a call from the owner (Jim Blake) essentially begging us to reconsider. Liking to support small local businesses we agreed to give him one more chance after which Jim assured us that they would provide better service. Jim said that they'd had some issues with staff and that they had corrected those issues. For making the mistake of renewing with them, we were charged twice for the $300.00 annual service fee (they have since refunded the overcharge). We were notified in February that we owed the company $246.50 for a service provided on 15 November 2024 ( We, have since paid that bill). Soooo, here's the current status of this debacle. We have not had our service contract canceled, as requested. We have not received a refund. And it appears that they are now screening our calls refusing to answer or return them. What ever you do please don't make the mistake of retaining this company. read more

We have paid them $35K upfront for a new Installation. They cashed the check on day 1 of receiving it. IT HAS BEEN ALMOST TWO YEARS AND THEY HAVE NOT STARTED ON THE PROJECT. They have stole the money from us. We are a ministry 501c3 non profit. This is a lot of money for our organization. We help men and women who struggle with life-controlling issues and help them find Christ. Wade has had little to no communication with us - saying he has personal issues such as family health problems, can't find any employees, and going through a divorce. We would like our money back or for the agreed upon contract to be completed. He keeps giving us the run around. Please take your business elsewhere. read more

Be cautious with this company. They took over my service contract from another. I questioned their abilities after they recommended pumping my system when it had just been pumped barely a year earlier. I asked questions about whether my system was working properly if a re-pump was needed so soon. I could never get an answer more than it needed to be pumped. After having two other companies come look at my system, both confirmed a pump was not needed and commented that whoever was serving the system wasn't doing the required maintenance, e.g., cleaning the aeration pipe. I had also asked twice for care instructions, things I could do to maintain my system, and they never followed up. I've now hired a different company, who is less expensive by the way, to properly manage my system. I recommend you keep looking or talk to others before choosing JB Wastewater. read more

I am an aerobic-maintenance customer. One of my RainBird aerators broke and I had to replace it. I was only able to screw it down 50%. I called JB Wastewater and asked Madison to make a note for the next service date to tighten and aim the RainBird head. She insisted on sending a man out to do this process. There was no mention during our conversation that it was considered a "service call" and that there would be a charge. Next thing I know I have an email bill for $85. Can't they at least be honest up front and let the customer know about charge vs no charge? I am now suspect of this company. Last time they were out the tech broke the plastic wingnuts on my system and wanted to charge $15 for each of 4 plastic wing nuts = $60. What???????????? They are $1 at Ace Hardware/True Value Hardware. Last year they told me my aerobic box was bad and needed replacement for $1300+. I paid them because I trusted them......back then but not anymore. Money, money, money.....that's all they want. So be wary of this company! read more

Charged me $800.00 to install an air pump ( 10 minute job ) that sells on line for $200.00 when I asked why so much they said it has a 2 year 100% warranty. 1 year later it goes out and they wanted to charge $800.00 again when asked what happen to the 2 year warranty they said it doesn't have it. Joshua A can you share who you ended up using. Like you JB Wastewaster took over my service from a prior company. I found Wade Bake Jr, the owner, to be arrogant, unprofessional and unethical. It all started when their technician stated I needed a new Air compressor. I approved the service. The technician installed the Air Compressor, but it did not work. I reported it the next day. Wade Blake called back within a couple of days and he was claiming I needed to have my tank pumped again. I just had it pumped less than a year ago. I told Wade, that this did not sound right, but he became defensive and arrogant. I refused to pay until they fix it. Once fixed, I gave them my debit card and they ended up charging more than the invoice. I spoke with his wife Kendell Blake and she stated it was a service call charge. I asked how can you charge me again when you did not fix the problem on the first visit. It was an unauthorized charge. Kendell Blake argued I gave her a verbal approval and she was just lying I will be disputed the charge and report JB Wastewater to the Texas Commission on Environment Quality Regional Office. read more

Constantly trying to tack on extra and unnecessary maintenance charges. Watch them carefully, they will tell you things are broken that aren't and still try to charge you for the repairs. That or they will show up with out an appointment, spend an hour doing nothing, and then charged you for an hour of labor. They have one solid, honest technician named John. I had a new septic tank installed but I had to call or email weekly just to find out when they would schedule the install. They asked for 50% up front but took about 2 months to finally start the install. After several more calls to them so they could finish the project they did come out and wrap things up but I a few days before the project was complete they started calling me for the final balance. We contracted this company to inspect a septic tank for us at a property that we are considering buying. We informed them that the tank was down approximately 6 feet per the owner. They were supposed to come out on a Tuesday at 9 but had an emergency and never called to tell us they would be late. We couldn't stay on the property so we had them come back the next day. When they came they located the tank and then informed us that because it was down so far they couldn't inspect it and it wasn't up to code. Then they charged me hundreds of dollars just for telling me that they couldn't do anything. When I called the office to speak to someone about this the woman I spoke to was incredibly rude and accused me of taking out my anger about the tank being so far down on her. I explained to her that I was angry because we informed them the tank was down that far and if they couldn't inspect it then why did they come out and charge me for it. She said it was because they presumed that no one would dig a septic tank that far down out of regulation. So because they presumed the information we gave them was incorrect they charged me over $250 (initially over $330) to come out to tell me exactly what I knew. I do have to say the gentlemen who came out were very nice and polite, however I would never hire this company ever again. read more

I call this company base on a simple search for my area, my bad, should have done more research. First had to ask three times just to get a copy of the contract they required to do the service. Next I couldn't get them to inform me if they would arrive in the morning or afternoon. Not looking for an appointment, just morning or evening. All I got was that they would call before arriving so I had to set aside the entire day. I had informed them that my air compressor on my septic was not working. When they finally arrived after 6:00 pm on a Friday they did do the work. In addition to replacing the compressor they charged me for a switch which controls the compressor. I'm pretty sure the problem was just the switch but was charged for both. Of course the switch was just a few dollars and the compressor was $675. Additionally when I finally got a copy of the contract it stated that the two year contract was $250. When the technicians gave me my bill they attempted to charge me $300 for the contract. Overall a very unprofessional organization. I now have a two year contract with them (required to get any work done) but doubt I will ever use them again unless there is a serious change in their management. The only positive thing I can say is the system was repaired, of course it was at a cost of over $1000 for what should have been the replacement of a $5 switch. Consumer beware. read more

Technicians who came to service my septic were great. Very professional an efficient. If this was standard septic repair work I would rate them higher. However, I was referred to them by my home warranty insurance company due to a failure of my septic pump. The pump needed to be replaced, but due to the lack of communication between JB's office and the home warranty company, they did not obtain pre-authorization to perform pump replacement work. They were only authorized to "diagnose the problem." End result was I paid for almost the entire thing. I know they didn't mean any harm...I just had no experience in how these things get handled so I was hoping they would know what needed to be done. Learning experience for me. read more
