I repeat, do not camp here. I read the reviews before booking and should've listened. I paid for 3 days and they gave us a really small spot. The campsite was grassy, muddy, and not kept up. The bathrooms were dirty, floors half way done and not finished. The biggest issue was the people next to us. They seemed very close with the owner or manager and were talking with her, but I won't assume who they were. Their cars and belongings were pushed into our area, so we couldn't even enjoy our own site. But we were still told we could only have 1 car. I tried reaching out to the manager and got no response. My family was so uncomfortable we left our tent and everything there and booked a hotel at Quinault Beach Resort. That's how bad it was. Trust me, don't camp here. read more

The bathrooms have gotten so much worse over the years. Poop smeared on the walls, bloody tampons and pads on the floor, no toilet paper refills at all, no soap to wash, no nothing, and it doesn't even have a light (women's). The men's bathroom had an overflowing toilet full of poop, literally raw sewage water on the floors. I called the front desk twice and they said they'd get right to it. They did nothing. It's absolutely disgusting. Also, our site was COVERED in broken glass and melted razor sharp beer cans. We used our sand sifters to sift up over SIX CUPS of broken glass and aluminum. Also, I'm no stranger to loud music, I love listening to loud music, but when you have neighbors that are blasting, and I mean REALLY blasting, horribly explicitly loud music when you're trying to hang out with your family, it's terrible. It's embarrassing. My father-in-law and mother-in-law *super* kindly asked them to turn it down a bit but they couldn't even hear the request because of the music. They were drunk and rude. They clearly could not hold their liquor. One of them literally came into the campsite very confrontationally to yell and say that they would not be turning it down because it wasn't quiet time, (little baby teenage Karen in training) not like quiet time matters here though. She even refused to leave a private campsite occupied by my mother and father-in-law. My mother-in-law walked to the manager's office to bring this up when she noticed she was being followed by the same woman. When the camp manager (Ruby) heard about everything she didn't care at all. She initially said she would talk to them but then decided my mother-in-law was the problem because she was asking them to turn down the music a bit. She wasn't even saying they couldn't play the music, she just wanted them to turn it down a little. My in-laws have been coming here for a long time, years and years and years, and I know that none of us will ever be back. This place does not care about their campers, they just know that no matter how many bad reviews they get, no matter how many people say they'll never be back, they will still get money because so many people don't know any better. This place is absolute trash, and my standards, honestly, are pretty damn low. If you are some crazy party animal and you want to go party it up, step on broken glass, cut yourself on the razor sharp fire pits that should have been disposed of 5 years before, this is the place for you. If you are with your family and you want to have a peaceful time at the beach, stay clear. And for the love of god, bring your own toilet. read more

Yes it's close to the beach...if you don't mind raw sewage in you campsite and being in a dirt parking lot, it's not an RV "Park" Raw sewage in our spot! Toilet paper all around the receptacle. Drains were completely backed up, went to dump and you could see raw sewer 3 inches from the top of the pipe. Manager Ruby was unprofessional and condescending when we told her about the problem. Not much has changed at this park for nearly 30 years. Some of the hookups have been upgraded but pretty much everything else remained the same. Spot are "OK" for a large motorhome with slide outs but still cramped for space to set up camp. There seems to be a couple of RVs that have been here for an extended period of time A they are filthy and have mold growing on them. The cost , 70 bucks per night, is what you would expect at a resort offering a pool, play area decent showers and WiFi. This park has none of these. A place to park....... Been going there for years but never again!Most of the tent sites we've rented have bits of garbage, cigarette butts and, yup, bits of glass, bottlecaps and toilet paper wads in the bushes, etc. scattered around, that we always pick up before getting set up. The public toilets are always filthy. (We bring our own portable toilet) Their portable toilets are also full to overflowing...just like the dumpster area, if you can find it. They recently re-numbered the sites, but, didn't update their website. Ruby, the manager, would not honor the difference on campsites you purchased, then, later found out it was not the same site as listed. Way too often, when you call to schedule or if you've a question or problem, they don't answer. They, more than once that we've experienced, allow large, noisy parties to drown out the rest with loud music and bad behavior. Because camping in OS is somewhat limited, JB's often seems to play favorites with the campsites, enforce their own rules arbitrarily, and generally act like they're doing you a favor. Their children are running around, noisily and constantly on quads, without helmets, receiving cash tips to deliver firewood. It's dangerous, noisy and unprofessional...I do believe it's private property so they act like they can do whatever they want, without consequences. I truly hope they can really up their game, because we've valued their location for years, with lots of good memories, and it hasn't always been as bad, unsafe nor as unsanitary as it is now. read more

Omg! The bathrooms are scary, a scene from a murder! They have a trailer that says women, but there are two urinals on it, no toilet paper, no way to lock it. Then there I is another one which is locked. I was hopeful it was clean sincce it was secure, but it was worse. Both toilets were plugged and the roof was falling down. Had to go to McDonald's during the weekend we were there. read more

This is one of the cutest spots by the beach, my family and I evacuated Oregon due to the fires and we were welcomed on this site with so much hospitality, the owners are extremely nice they took the time to show us around and they made sure we were okay. They have space if you park your RV or if you set up your tent! They also have ice and wood on site in case you need to restock. They got new wooden benches in case you plan to have lunch with family and friends! They have horse back riding close by the beach and we also loved that activity! read more

This place sent me an invoice with cost. Nowhere on it did it say on the invoice that the invoice was holding fee charges nor did they take any money for the holding fee at the time of making the reservation. When my group arrived they tried to collect almost triple the amount of what was sent to me on my invoice at the time of making my reservation. They said one of their employees made a mistake and we needed to pay the difference. I ended up paying more but not what they were fully trying to charge me. They offered me wood for the mistake and we told them nope here is all the extra I have beyond my invoice and to keep their wood. Bad customer service to charge me for an employee mistake. Bathrooms were dirty, showers only had cold water and they didn't keep up on supply of toilet paper or paper towels. The garbage was run over and spilling everywhere. On night 2 a family with 2 vehicles pulled up saying they paid to camp on one of our sites. We told them it was our space and mangement did nothing. They allowed them to park their vehicle on our site and stay in the vehicle. Had to have signs hanging in our rear view mirrors of our vehicles with site number and dates paid for in each vehicle. They tried to charge $5 per sign on top of what we paid for the site. That flimsy paper should come w cost of site not be extra, required and told about after set up. read more

This campground has obviously neglected to update their facilities. Their sites are not marked so campers get confused on where the boundaries are for each site! So the last one in my end up with a very narrow site! And when you have tips outs, it's nearly impossible to enjoy your narrow site. Restrooms and showers? I can't say. The reviews were bad for having slimy showers. Didn't attempt to use them. The staff here is friendly and accommodating. They go the extra mile. The campground is sitting next to the access to the beach, which made it attractive to us, but we will not be staying here again. This campground is too run down. read more

We've been going to JBs for years, and haven't had a lot of problems. July 4th we needed Rubys help and she and her husband were great. However, recently, I tried to make a reservation for a weekend and was able to leave 1 message on a Monday, tried to call again that Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday; didn't receive a call back. Just happened to call again on Wednesday, and someone finally answered. I asked for a specific tent space number and was given that space. We arrived and found out that the tent spaces were all renumbered, we weren't told about that, the space was NOT where we expected and the space beside us was a very large rowdy group, with lots of barking dogs, drinking all day long and VERY loud music; we weren't told about that either. When we asked if we could move to the spotwe wanted there was no respond, basically take it or leave. We know the bathrooms are disgusting so we bring our own porta potty, we do, expect a firepit and picnic table at our space and there nothing was there, the large group had taken them! The tent site was littered with bottle caps, glass, and tissue paper! Gross! We left that night, even though we were supposed to stay for two nights. Sad, we'll miss some aspects of the camp ground. The manager, Ruby, gave us a credit for a future stay, but, refused to refund us for the two nights, at the wrong campsite they listed as another! We won't be back. read more

This place is a absolute dump. Reserved 2 camp sites for 10 tents for Labor Day weekend 2020. Was given a invoice and paid the holding deposit. Talked to them 3 different times to confirm pricing and if what was on the invoice was what was owed. Split the cost between groups. Arrived 9/4 and was told I owed $983 instead of the $475 on the invoice. The lady that owns the property apologized for the inconvenience yet refused to honor any pricing on the invoice. Ended up paying $600 to stay anyways. The bathrooms are disgusting(porta pottys were cleaner than the restrooms), no toilet paper, hot water, paper towels or even soap in the bathrooms. Garbage over piled on site. Rv parking was decent but tent camping was ridiculous. We paid for 2 sites and front office was telling people to camp on our site after they were full capacity. It is evident that they are over charging and not putting any of that money into the property. read more

If you would like kids and dogs running through your site at all times of the day this is the place! The "leash your pet" policy is not enforced at all and even if they are leashed up good luck keeping them away from screaming kids running through unannounced and dogs wondering through with no owners in sight. I understand beach bathrooms get dirty much faster than others but these bathrooms were death traps to walk in to. Toilet paper was set on top of dispensers to get wet and dirty or fall on the floor and soak up all the URINE AND FECES that are left on the floor. Honey buckets were overflowing. There are very few distinguishable campsite meaning that the owners will pile people people in as tightly as possible, furthermore making the unattended dog and children issue even worse. Highly recommend going to Quinalt Resort. NEVER EVER had an issue and the owners have common sense when situations arise. read more

Well we booked a campsite and paid for the night, however I had to cancel the next day. Sent an email and called to cancel our reservations. We received a call back and apparently they don't issue refunds, also I cannot find a refund policy on their website jbrvpark.com . I was told the owner will be back in town on 5/15 and today is 5/10... do I need to waste my time for 27 dollars? This all seems pretty shady to me... read more

It wasn't so much that their hot water heater in the newer bathroom trailer is broken, but that now I see that it's been down for several months and they acted like it happened the day I wanted to shower. They were DISHONEST when I checked in, I asked about the showers and Ruby told me there were showers and restrooms. She didn't mention the small detail of no hot water. Then she said they were just "waiting on a part" and it wouldn't be fixed today. It won't be fixed at all people so don't expect a shower here. The state park has coin op showers so it's worth a few extra bucks to stay there if you want. There's one tiny shower in a women's only trailer on the other side but the water is barely warm and the shower is nasty. This park is close to the beach, and that's about all you get for your money. There are "full timers" living there and the campground owners kids drove ATVs around the park non stop all day from sun up to sundown. It's noisy and too close for comfort here. read more

JBS RV Park The good A 5 minute walk to the Ocean,restaurants. Except Ocean Grill dont eat there see review. A Happy Hour at Best Western. If you are a camper alot of grassy dunes to pitch a tent. Old washing mashine basins for campfire pits. A rest area across the road. Friendly Mexican Owners. July 4th there is a soectaculer site on the beach at Sunset, 45,000 cars parked on the beach and all if the people are lighting off fireworks. So you look up and down the beach a good 20 miles either direction and see fireworks it's pretty cool. The Bad A very loud Mexican music festval. 200 people and children running around the music is too loud. Most of the RV area is gravel and grass. This is a very old RV Park the new owners are trying to make it work.they are young. No privacy all RVs are crammed together next to the old derelect RV residents that have pit bulls and rant and rave all nite. Loud music and homeless people wondering around all nite .the person behind Us is BiPolar and wont take His Medicine so We are told He bangs on the sides of his RV allnite and We were told to "call the Police if He does this because the Owners wont do anything." The owners would be wise to put up a privacy fence blocking this mess of derelect RVs and homelesss walking right through your site looking checking everything you got. Bikers, tenters , all converging on the primitive plywood toilet / shower or the new building has showers and there is a honey bucket. Alot of todlers playing in the street and even a small gang of rowdy young kids ages about 5-9 . Very loud yellers. The owners kids are 2 of them. The fireworks are great to see but be carefull People in the Camp ground are exploding M80s 45,000 cars /people on the beach blasting fireworks its like a warzone. I recommend a air filter mask and goggles the debris in the air is alot of particulate matter from all the air bursts. read more

I highly recommend camping here if you would like your personal space invaded by your peers constantly by kids running through and around your campsite all day and night. The leash rule is not enforced so good luck trying to walk your dog on a leash down to the beach without being ran up to by big dogs that were more often than not, not accompanied by an owner. Lucky for you though if you would like to rinse off after playing at the beach or even hanging out in your dirt parking lot of a campsite you can go take a nice COLD shower that will for sure leave you feeling dirtier than before. the bathrooms had 1 stall that was working with a roll of toilet paper that wasn't even on the roll holder so it was damp and dirty. make sure to bring your own soap and paper towels too cause there was none in the bathrooms. Another nice touch was the fact that there was no toilet paper in any of the porta potty's (that were way over full due to the amount of people crowded into the campground). Save your money and camp under a bridge you'll probably be safer. read more

This is a great little campground right off the highway. We stopped for a night on our way through. The gentlemen that checked us in was very nice and working hard. The pull through sites are large with beautiful trees. Best of all, it's 5 min off I-30. read more

Less than one star. This campground leaves much to be desired. Which is unfortunate because it's location is perfect to the beach. The owner or operator ruby, conducts business in a less than honest fashion. The RV spaces are too narrow. Our slide out came within inches of the next RV. Overnight they park a RV behind us. They were so close the could see directly into our bedroom window and we saw directly into their dining room. Hardly a 4 foot space. We paid to camp with cash. We asked for a receipt or tag for our RV window to prove we rented the spot. She said she did not give any out. I asked her how she would know we paid (I am guessing no receipt for the cash payment so no IRS reporting). She casually said "I know". We used our RV to drive around the city. In our absence they almost rented our camp spot out. This did happen to another person. They said it was because they didn't see anybody in that spot. The owner thought it was amusing that they had done that to this person. The next day we came back after our days excursion it was after nine. He told us he had almost rented out our spot as well. His excuse was, people leave early and if they're not there he thinks they're gone. Totally unacceptable. Furthermore it's impossible to reach them by telephone. When we needed to alter our reservation we called repeatedly, leaving messages to call me back. My call were never returned. Upon arrival I notified them of the modification, they said it was too bad that they were going to hold me too the reservation as it stood, anyway. I tried to show them proof of all the times I had called and left messages. That meant nothing to them. I believe these people are just in it to make a buck and don't really care about providing accommodations for people who want to enjoy Ocean Shores. My advice stay anywhere else but JBs Park and Campground. If you do get proper receipts in hand and watch your belongings. This property lacks integrity. read more

We like JB's. It's close to everything in Ocean Shores. They are always accommodating and friendly. We have stayed here at least 5 times. They are working on improvements so we are looing forward to our stay over Labor Day weekend. read more
