I was referred to JC's Autobody Repair shop by my insurance company. Therefore, I thought that I would get decent work, wrong!! Ricardo's famous and greatest lie is "we were very transparent with you!" I agree with everyone else that has left a bad review for this business. The people at JC Auto Body Repair did lousey work on my vehicle. The details are too lengthy to mention. Alas Ricardo lies, take liberties with doing work on your vehicle that hasn't been cleared with the owner beforehand. He tries to gas light you when you try to discuss with him why you are not satisfied with the substandard work that they have done on your vehicle. They painted over chips on the old paint and advised me not to take my car through the carwash, something that wasn't a problem prior to JC's touching it! Currently rust , that was never on my car before , is coming through the paint job that they did on the hood. All said and done I'd never return to them, even with a "warranty". The insurance company has given me the ok to have their work redone, but I'm having a difficult time finding a dealership that's willing to go behind JC's and redo their work because of unseen issues/risks that they may run into. read more

Not great vibes, overly expensive work after an accident, put a headache inducing scent in my car (from a cleaning chemical?) without my consent, didn't even reply to my message asking how to get ride of it. The car made weird vibrating noise after replacing the radiator, and turns out they missed putting a clamp in. They tried to charge me but then thought better of it. And at least paint job is alright.Don't come here if you have time to research other places. read more

I want to say thank you to Ricardo and all the staff that I met. We worked this out within three days. I called before closing the first day and and showed them the damages, we dropped the car off the second day and I just got it back today. He was Very transparent explained everything to me as someone that doesn't know anything about cars, went over what they repaired. Everything looks great and I couldn't be happier. Pricing was great. I will never come here again. My car was serviced last month, but today I noticed a missing or loose clip. Technician Eddie was condescending, blamed me for the damage, and told me to look under the car with him. When I declined, he told me never to return and to quote "Eat a dick". I called him racist; the owner stepped out to defend Eddie, stating that his wife has dark skin. I will never do business with them again. read more

This review is for the shop at 12112 Almeda Rd. I was told this is a franchise mom-and-pop shop. Each time I came around over several months, I saw only 1-2 guys working in the mechanic shop. There are more staff working at front desk than in the mechanic shop. This shop is okay for repairing car scratches and dents, but I don't recommend them for mechanic repairs. They will keep your car for weeks and months for simple jobs due to incompetence and their reason of "Delayed parts". There is no quality control on their repairs on my SUV. Their service warranty means their work isn't the problem and you need to repair or replace other parts. They welcome you to bring your car back for warranty service, and they find ways to charge you. They will suck money and time out of you through "warranty". They overprice the parts so labor looks cheaper. After spending thousands of dollars in repairs here, they ruined my SUV. I used them for fixing minor dents and scratches from a car accident before. They were okay. I proceeded to have them replace my other SUV's lower control arms using OEM parts as suggested by a car dealer on June 12, 2024. This isn't the car involved in the accident. It took them 3 weeks to finish. I was told it was due to a delay in parts. As soon as I picked up my SUV, the car made loud grinding noise on their lot. They had to take it back to fix it. After I took it home the SUV started to make strange popping and rattling noises(10- 25MPH) under the hood that were not there before. My SUV's gas mileage was 28-30MPG before repair. After repair, it averaged 18-19 MPG. I always check my gas mileage. I returned my SUV for repair again. They said what they replaced wasn't the problem. They said I had to replace the axles, struts, tie rods, and transmission mount just like the Chevrolet they are working on. It sounded suspicious since they are both from different makers. I agreed since I think it'll be good in the long term. It took them 4 weeks to fix it by July 27th due to delayed parts again. After I picked it up, the reported rattles and popping noises were still there. The transmission fluid started to leak on my driveway after 2 days. Each time they worked on my car, new problems emerge. My husband found out someone had left the radiator cap open causing the popping noise. He closed the cap and refilled the coolant and the popping noise went away. It could have overheated the engine. Again, I returned the SUV for repair to fix the leaking axle transmission fluid and rattles. The front desk guy cited different reasons and the owner had his own theories. Their stories never seemed to match on just about anything over several months I was there. I was told the gasket was too small for the axle and needed another part. Who would install a gasket part if it doesn't fit?? I called them twice almost every day to get an ETA. I haven't had a car for work for months now. They suggested I take the car home to drive with leaky transmission fluid while waiting for parts. Who would recommend this??? 8/27/24, I finally got a call from Ricardo(owner) to come pick up the SUV, and he scheduled an appointment at 2pm so he could go over the fixes with me. When I got there, he was hiding in the back and didn't come out to meet me until 45 minutes later. He got someone else to deliver the message that I owed another $350 to fix the leaky axle that they have replaced. There was no going over any fixes. I promised them a Google review afterward. They install parts knowing they don't fit and problematic. I was forced to pay them additional $350 for something that should be under warranty for whatever reason. They will find ways to charge more for lousy work. After I took it home, this SUV's rattling noises under the hood got louder and louder each day. This car is now deemed unsafe to drive. I wasted 3 months, thousands of dollars in repairs, another thousand dollar in car rental, and headaches. This shop's work is sloppy and they're unethical. read more

Came in for an all cash job today as someone backed in to me scraping my driver rear tire area. Needed and asked for a quote, but as soon as the gentleman seen my car he said "we can take it to the back and buffer it out for free" it was a quick job but they could've easily charged me. Offered to buy them lunch and they refused payment or food. One day I'll be stopping by with donuts or something for the good energy. Thanks for the service. read more

Stolen recovery on my car started out okay. I live out of state, car was stolen from daughter college campus, was told by insurance i can chose any place and i was referred by a friend of a friend to JC. Big mistake. I went through 3 different contacts that kept me informed on the status of my repairs. It wasn't until the last week of the 30 days that I CALLED TO GET STATUS and spoke with Ricardo to find out most of the work that needed to be done was NOT done, parts were not ordered (main part needed was ignition to start the cart) they were not gonna meet the 30 day deadline. Like WTH were you doing to the car while it was sitting on your lot. There was no body damage other than scratches and some replacement and paint work. The real work didn't start until the conversation with Ricardo, honestly this should be reported to the Department of Insurance fraud! At the end of the ordeal the car was "restored" my daughter picked up the car. She noticed the car was missing the logo on the back of the car. I made several calls and texts to Ricardo without any return calls from him. I guess you got your money so need to respond. Don't do business with dishonest business like this i do not recommend unless you live in the area and can go and check on your car yourself. read more

I've been to this establishment a few times in 2023. Had a very positive experience with Mr. Neal, and Mia. In the past the owner was also very kind and helpful. What I like about them is they seem to have good character in their staff. Neal is so kind and generous and went above and beyond to help me a lot with my vehicle, and issues that were surrounding that. Mia is the sweetest and most lively receptionist, and as someone who has done receptionist work in many types of jobs I know it can be difficult to keep a positive attitude consistently but she does it well. Early in the morning and she's already smiling. From my experience in general, they have a good sense of integrity and that is important to me when deciding on anything to do with my vehicle and who will be working on it. If I could rate zero stars I would. I was referred to them by way of my insurance for a stolen catalytic converter. I requested an anti-theft shield be ordered and installed. When I was returned to pick up my vehicle they ordered splash shields under the car and no theft shield. When I asked the manager about a refund he was cagey about refunding the product and said "You would benefit from this" rather than his shop owning the error taking place. I've had nothing but great experiences here at this shop and I highly recommend if you are looking for amazing work and a great fair price! They are great with communication and called daily to update on the status of my vehicle. If I need help, I just bring my car right in and they let me know what is needed and how much money, time. etc. I'm appreciative for their time and effort!! I personally have had two vehicles involved in car accidents and the work they were able to do looks as if nothing has happened, no damage or anything. The staff are very friendly... but be careful. Check under the hood. You will find out that the repair was done incorrectly and half .... the outside might look great but give it a car wash and the paint starts chipping and the inside is waiting to die. If you want work done there you better know what needs to be done. If you got your car fixed there I suggest you take it to another mechanic to see if the job was done right. read more

Where can I begin to start with this so called autobody. It has been a nightmare from the very start. They are very disorganized and have ZERO customer service skills. Anything that can go wrong will go wrong coming to this place. I have been to alot of businesses and none of them carry themselves the way this place does. All they try and do is suck money out of your insurance and claim parts were damaged elsewhere and not by them. They do not own up to their mistakes and please do yourself a favor and do not speak with the owner. Instead of fixing problems he makes them worse by saying everything is your fault. They are not trustworthy and will find a way to cheat you out of something mark my words I am living proof. They fix certain things and in the process damage others and do not take responsibility for it. Nevertheless they blame the damage on you and want to make your insurance pay for it. Their so called rental cars are worthless. The car I was given was empty on gas had engine light on and radio was falling out. Worst experience of my entire life. So many shops that are around houston people please do your research and skip this place. This business also had the audacity to call me and tell me to remove my review. I only write what I mean and i mean every word I type on here. That was very unprofessional to call and ask someone to remove the review. Instead they should of asked what they could further do to solve the problem instead of just telling me to take down the review.
