I've had Joe and Joey fix my cars many times for over 20 years. The job has always been right the FIRST TIME!. The prices are reasonable. There were times we thought it was a bigger problem, but they are so honest, they fixed it for much less than we expected. One time many years ago, I came in for one problem that Joe did a quick fix for free, but he diagnosed another issue by simply smelling an antifreeze leak. McCannix is hands down the best auto repair shop in Houston. I am not kidding, people. Joe, the owner, gives you his cell phone number when you call him. If you have to rent a car, he'll actually pick your car up from the rental car place instead of having you bring your car to him. He details your car when he gives it back to you. He helps you out when dealing with your insurance. He's a friggin NICE guy. McCannix came highly recommended to me, and I just experienced why firsthand. I called late afternoon and got no answer and left no message figuring to call back the next day. Within minutes I got my call returned and a (good) price quoted. He's a little hard to find because he's back down a dirt driveway but when I got there I was treated almost as if I were family.
