For 25 years we have endured hot summers in our home because of the pounding sun. We tried window…read moretints, double cellular window coverings and finally decided to get awnings where needed. Yes, we have AC, but we wanted to find a better environmental solution and help our electricity bill out a bit. Based on so many great reviews we only called Jose and Silvia of JS Custom Awnings. Jose answered my call right away, and based on my measurements, gave me a ballpark price over the phone, and then came promptly for our appointment 3 days later. He and Silvia were very nice and straight forward. We decided to add a second shade in the front of our house, and felt the pricing for both awnings was very reasonable. As promised, less then two weeks later the awnings were installed. As you can see from the pictures, the structures are very solid. The awnings were bolted everyone to keep secure in heavy winds and the installation was precise. They even checked for any possible loose screws on the driveway to protect our tires. Thw Sunbrella material was durable, strong and a great match for our home. Jose was very patient as we went back and forth between several colors. It has only been a day, but the glare in the house has been significantly reduced. The real test will be this summer summer. We are incredibly happy and obviously highly recommend them to all.

Their price was competitive, lower than some, higher than some, but I felt confident in their explanations that I went with them. The awnings took about three weeks to make (as expected) and they came out looking great! My wife and I were hesitant to add awnings as the one's we've seen around town looked outdated but we needed a long term solution to block sunlight/heat so we went with awnings. They not only do a great job of blocking the sun/heat (which in turn allows us to run the AC less) but they are beautiful as well! We are very happy with the look and work. I had one issue with the awnings- some water did leak through against the exterior wall during a rain storm, but Andres and team came out when the rain stopped and applied more sealent.
