What was once a…read morerespected, community-focused venue has unfortunately declined--largely due to the behavior of its staff and ushers. The staff were rude and unprofessional, and shockingly unaccommodating toward children. This was especially upsetting given that we were attending a production specifically geared toward families and kids, Annie. Instead of being welcoming or patient, the usher we encountered was dismissive and unfriendly, making it very clear that children and teens are not truly welcome here. This venue is no longer family-friendly, despite advertising family-oriented productions. If you're bringing kids or teens, be prepared for an environment that feels rigid, uninviting, and uncomfortable. What makes this even more disappointing is my long history with the Civic. My family has donated large sums of money (we could have bought a couple homes with the amount we've donated) over the past 30 years because we believed in its mission and its role in the community. Sadly, after this experience, we will no longer be supporting it. The Civic is simply not what it once was. If you're looking for a welcoming, inclusive place to enjoy theater with your family, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Do not take your family to the Civic!

They have a small walk through "home haunt" area which was so cool. Especially knowing that the show stemmed from a home haunt to now a full blown business. Speaking of business, the owners, you won't know it but are always out and about when the show is going on. Interacting with customers, helping with crowd control.l or even par taking in the actual show! Although very clearly stated on the site. It does have a very unique and thrilling storyline. They keep the concept flowing very nicely and utilize the size of their attraction to the fullest. Every actor made the experience. They PERFORM! Yes there are anamatronics and jump scares but the actors bring the entire show and scares to LIFE! The set designs have some of the most incredible never before seen ideas that really stood out. There are fewer barriers, so visitors can get much closer to the aircraft. The enormous size of the F-14 is especially impressive when compared with the F-18 or older A-4. One volunteer shared some negative comments about museum leadership and mentioned that another volunteer had sprayed cleaning chemicals inside the F-117A bomb bay door, which reportedly smeared some of the signatures preserved there. This felt more like an internal museum matter than part of the visitor experience. The sci-fi and Alien exhibits also seemed somewhat separate from the museum's core aviation focus. Overall, the aircraft collection is excellent. Seeing the F-117A was a major highlight, and being able to walk right up to the very rare SR-71B made the visit especially worthwhile.

I love how knowledgeable the staff was and how accommodating people were when we had a variety of ages of children. We always love coming to the zoo and I can rest easy that the staff is always very helpful and accommodating. My only criticism would be that we have some significant in anaphylactic allergens and the staff at Kitty Hawk Café didn't seem to be very knowledgeable about allergens and cross contamination, so we didn't feel safe at all getting any food there. I highly recommend bringing a cooler and leaving it in your car if you have allergies.

Responsible drink prices, nice and fast waitress and most importantly very nice security/house staff all added up to a great experience. We made the drive over from Detroit because a friend of ours is in Sons Of Apollo, but after this experience, we would make the drive for any band we're interested in. Not the biggest venue in the world and the parking isn't good but other than that, it's a great place to see a rock show.

I used to go to the machine shop all the time in Flinttown and if anyone knows where Flint is, it's pretty ghetto. I'm kinda used to it so going here did not affect me. Of course there is limited seating so if you want a seat, I'd advised getting there as soon as you can preferably when they first open. I don't mind standing since I like being closer up front, but standing on your feet for several hours can deter others from attending. Drinks are great, bartenders have always been friendly but when I'm usually by myself I don't drink too much because of the driving situation. Def recommend for hard core rockers who love music :)

After a one year hiatus the long-running Island Fest was back for 2016. I haven't been before so…read morewasn't really sure what to expect and can't compare to previous years. I went on Saturday night, around 7-10pm PARKING - There are a couple of paid parking lots around the area, but a baseball game was also going on the same night so lots were pretty full. Most cars parked on nearby streets and I did see police patrolling when we walked back out to our car ENTRY FEE - When we arrived it was $10, however looks like it's less if you arrive before 7pm FOOD/DRINK TICKETS - The tickets are 50¢ per ticket...beer was 8 tickets, mixed island drinks were 12. I didn't buy food so can't speak to price/quality VENDORS - Maybe 15 shopping vendors; items ranged from dresses, t-shirts, jewelry, incense, smoking accessories CHAIRS - If you have your own lawn chair (or blanket), bring it. Most people sat in their chairs and listened to the music MUSIC - They had one stage, I'm not into Reggae music and didn't know the bands but there were quite a few people starting to dance and the music was good. Overall it was ok...if you like live music / Reggae. The overall atmosphere was a little depressing, you can make a loop around the shopping vendors pretty quickly, so it's basically just the music. There were a lot of people there and into the music though. Nothing really for little kids to do
