I purchased our tickets in person and I was asked if I was part of their rewards program. I said that I thought that I was. I gave my phone number and was told that I wasn't in their system, but yet he didn't ask me if I wanted to sign up. After we got to our seats I went to their website to sign up for their rewards because I always take advantage of loyalty programs, and when I put my information in it said I was already a member. We went to the concession stand where I was informed that they were out of most of the beverages in the beverage station because they had been busy. My nephew then went to look at the candy selection and we struck out again. He wears braces and has a peanut allergy and there were no plain M&Ms or chocolate options without peanut butter, so we couldn't buy candy. When we got to our seats I was so shocked that I started laughing and took a picture before I sat down. The recliners are old and worn and worse than any furniture I have seen in people's homes. Thankfully my nephew enjoyed the movie (Elio).

I hadn't been to a theatre in a while, but a new release had to be seen on the big screen! My kiddo…read moreeasily bought tickets online and chose our seats. The parking lot was pretty empty, though it was 2p on a Friday. Their restrooms seemed well kept, which is always nice. We got right in, got our popcorn and drink and off to find our seats. Great big comfy recliners with swinging trays for your snacks and drinks. It wasn't as loud as I remember which was a nice change. Great time!

Most of the time the acting definitely won't be the best you'll ever see, but there are a few great actors and actresses who will stand out and make you believe that they are their character and no one else. I grew up in this playhouse. It was and still is one of my favorite places to just be. I view this place as a sanctuary, not only because it used to be a church, but also because it makes me feel at peace. When I was in plays and musicals here, I was simply joyful to get to go to rehearsals with tons of like-minded individuals who wanted to dance, sing, act, and laugh like I did. Sure there was drama sometimes, but that's theater for ya! (And life! But don't tell anyone else that or else they'll get upset and start going off about how they don't have ANY drama in their life). So come check out a play or musical, they have shows around 6 times a year; so about every other month you can come and enjoy a show. The tickets range from $5 (for advanced students non-summer musical price) to $15 (for adult pay at the door summer musical price). If you wanna know the in between prices just check out their website and click on "Tickets".

The theater does double duty - church on Sunday and Paw Paw Village Players theater in the evenings and Saturdays. I'm all for local theater and the Village Players do a good job even though I'm sure they are on a tight budget. This past weekend we saw the Christmas Carol. The sets were pretty minimal, but the lighting and sound made up for it. The church has spent a lot of money on renovating the old school and especially the auditorium and it shows. New seats were installed and the sound system was top notch. I applaud the actors who took time out of their busy schedule to put on this production. Well done!
