I am not sure how this theatre is at 3.9 stars, not sure what people are looking for! I went to a movie here last week and this is certainly my new go to theatre. This theatre is pretty far from where we live (we usually go to North or Studio Park downtown), but Nate and I were looking to see a movie before driving down to Kalamazoo, so this location worked great for that. I was really surprised at how nice and updated this location is! Walking in to the main lobby area I noticed the clean carpet and updated bar/concessions area. Everything seemed really clean and even though it was a bit of a slow time, it looks like the facility has been updated recently. The employees were friendly and efficient, and even offered me my complimentary real butter because I'm a Platinum level rewards member. (They rarely ask me if I want it at the other locations.) The theatre we were in was very small, only a handful of rows, but the seats looked brand new, especially compared to the super worn out seats at Studio Park. The sound and picture were great. I did some research and found out this location was updated in April 2024! There's plenty of parking in their lot and it's pretty easily accessible from the highway. What a great movie experience! To be honest, I have not been to a movie theater in a long time. This theater was a real treat. I enjoyed the heated seats that recline. They have a nice tray table with cup holder. The seats are pretty oversized and they are so comfortable. The popcorn was great! The theater was clean. And the restrooms were clean. I do not have anything negative to say about the theater or my experience. I will definitely be going back. read more

My daughter and wife went to Hamilton when it was in town so my youngest two and I went to check out a movie here. The staff was very helpful and friendly, the bathrooms and theater were clean, and the food/drinks were good. Overall it was a nice experience. read more

My first experience at this Celebration Cinema went very well. It's not an Alamo House, or Emagine theater, but definitely a quality experience overall. Screen, sound, and seating were the best parts of my experience. Looking forward to my next movie or classic film viewing. read more

This is a nice theater, recently updated with recliner seats. The staff is friendly and they offer a variety of different movies to choose from. Lobby area is big with tables and chairs to wait at if you're meeting friends. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the cleaning crew really needs to step up their game. Bathrooms were messy, popcorn everywhere in the hallways and empty cups/trash at some of the tables. I observed the staff ignoring all this to socialize while there were no customers. So that was a bummer, otherwise this is a great place. read more

I do not like the punctuation here. Exclamation points should be treated more like helium. There is a finite amount of either, let's use exclamation points and helium more judiciously and appropriately. The audio visual quality is good here, the theaters don't have the more popular recliner seats which is alright with me, they are in good repair and clean. Snacks are as overpriced as everywhere else, for 50 cents you can get actual butter instead of the oily higher cholesterol goo that they also serve. Maybe I've been lucky, but I've been able to enjoy movies here (so far) without people around me on their phones or tablets. read more

Celebration Cinema is a good choice to see new movies; good popcorn, self-serve soda stations, and accommodating ticket counters and machines for easy purchase. I don't really have any complaints about this location, though it's not nearly as big or impressive as Celebration Cinema North. Overall, as a smaller scales version of it, it does the job and I had a good time with my mother and sister for the evening. read more

I've never had a problem per say at Celebration South. I usually go to this theatre being it has a bunch of restaurants near it that I can travel to after. The theatre is always clean in terms of the lobby and seating.. I don't feel sticky or gross after I leave unless I have eaten too much popcorn, which is.. a personal problem. Haha The staff here is always super polite and smiling. They look like they are happy that you're there. What I do not enjoy is the seating. Once you've had better.. this just doesn't compare in terms of physical comfort. It is very tight and I always feel like I am shoulder to shoulder when I go to see a movie here. Amc is waaaay better in terms of protecting your personal bubble so to speak. All together, this is a good option for a theatre, but not the best in town. read more

Perfect location for us to catch a movie on the fly. The concession is pretty good, however, if you want the best deal, you have to be able to do the math pretty quick. (Ex. the big bucket and two large drinks, +.50 for the butter we like, is only $1 more than the big bucket 2 reg drink no butter combo.) Even if it's just a limited promo, it would be nice if employees knew to offer it to customers. Concession is just too expensive, so any savings is appreciated. The employees are always friendly and seem happy to be there. I've heard working at theatres is not as easy as it seems. They do a good job. The seating in the theatres is a little cramped compared to the upgrades at most theatres, and DBox seating is a waste of space IMO. Hopefully they will upgrade in the future. Overall, great theatre in a great location. read more

Movie theaters are hard for me to like, not because I hate movies. Not because of the prices or the lack of items at the concession counter. I usually just hate them because the number of snot nosed 15 year olds and twenty somethings that seem to think they are so important that they couldn't possibly wait to talk or text until the end of the movie. But this place does a good job, they don't put up with disrespectful patrons. They usually have whatever good movie just came out. They have a decent selection at the concession counter The only reason they don't get 5 stars is because their ticket prices seem to be a mystery and the concessions could use a few more options read more

Nice theater. Clean - including the bathrooms! Concession offerings are typical - not unique, but not bad. Theaters are clean, good sound, good projection. Just wish all the upper section front rows hadn't been taken up by the 'special effects' seating (most of which are generally empty when we attend). Years ago I had seen the film, "Charlie Wilson's War" here. The film was not projected correctly and when there were scenes with subtitles, you could not read them because half of them were completely gone, the video wasn't centered correctly. This experience left a bad taste so I stopped coming. Well after some years, I thought I'd give them another try as some friends wanted to come here because of the convenience. We've seen three movies here this summer and Every Single One of them looked terrible because of this theater's projection standards. They were all extremely out of focus, muddy & dark. None of them seemed centered and after all of these years apparently they have given up on the Sound also because that sounded tinny & hollow. Never again South, never again. read more

Went to this theater to see Star Wars with my nephew. They had some pretty good concession items and he loved the kids pack hat comes with a drink, popcorn, and gummies (which made him happy). He also got a free popcorn and drink refill. I snagged some of the popcorn seasoning (nacho cheese y'all) and we headed to our seats. Star Wars is a long movie, so I kept shifting in my seat. It was a little lumpy and uncomfortable, but I was able to make it work. Movie was good. Had fun! read more

One of the better theatres in town. We enjoy it a lot and spend most of out time between North and South. The staff here is fun. They are great at what they do and seem to enjoy working with their customers. We have always positive experiences here and will return as often as we can. read more

Not quite as nice as the north location, plus they don't have an IMAX. But I would say its the second best theatre in the area. Comfy seats!

We recently rented a room at Celebration Cinema South for the purposes of holding a graduation party. I am more than pleased with our experience with the staff at the theater. Craig and Connie and the rest of the staff were absolutely very helpful and very cordial. The staff set up the room to my specs before the event, and provided a few extra items we needed after we arrived. I would highly recommend these rooms to anyone who needs to plan a gathering. read more

Do not recommend. Recieved a ticket to an early screening which me and friend were not let into do to being overcapacity. We were then told we could use our receipt to get free tickets. Upon returning the night the movie premiered we were told we could not have tickets and turned away. read more

The staff here makes all the difference for me. The theaters are always neat and clean, the bathrooms are always clean and well stocked, and the staff is so friendly. But what has me completely convinced that the staff here go above and beyond is the fact that I lost my wedding ring in a theater a while back. I called that night in tears because I had searched everywhere I could think of. The night manager assured me as soon as the current movie in that theater was over, they'd search and he'd call back. They did and he called back with bad news but promised to have the cleaning crew look in the morning and they FOUND IT!!! I was shocked and over the moon happy and impressed with the staff, cleaning crew and management at this theater. Customer for life!!! read more

I buy the refillable popcorn bucket and lately they don't even fill to the rim. Yes there is an additional refill but I don't want to leave my movie to get it. When I go to the movies the popcorn is my dinner. Give me a full bucket please!! read more

Usually a great place to take the family. Last movie we took the kids to was a bit much. We had to ask security 3 times to remove people from movie. There were teenagers swearing, yelling, laughing extra loud and long. The 3rd time I demanded a manager go in and remove them. read more

Love this theater vs. the busier mall location. It is always clean and has friendly, knowledgeable staff. It is certainly very easy to access and much more convenient to go to if the sole purpose is to "movie go", opposed to fighting through the mall. The only reason I'm scoring a 4 is because there is one regular staffer who is very indifferent towards customers....makes you feel as if you are a bother to her. She's been here awhile, so she must at least do an efficient job...needs to brush up on her customer service skills. Have mentioned it to the manager several times, and have heard others complain as well. Oh well, can't let one bad apple ruin a good time. read more
