I called all the polishers that would come to Oakland and Graham's quote was about 40% below the others. The only question then was on quality... well, two very strong guys showed up with all the right equipment to give my newly poured concrete slab a beautiful polish and sheen. They even got the rises and runs of a small concrete stairway using a handheld polisher, and reached every little corner. 4.5 stars just because communication can be less than perfect, but I take it that's just because they're so busy doing a great job for so many. read more

He came out on a Friday and did his measurements and indicated that he was pretty booked up, but he would do his best to get us squeezed in between jobs because I wanted my project done ASAP (pregnant wife...due in a month...I waited too long). Graham was able to get us scheduled and started the following Tuesday. He and his team finished up another job that morning, took their lunch, and started on our project that afternoon. My experience with JC Concrete Polishing couldn't have been better. I highly recommend them!!! I wanted to "finish" the concrete floors in our garage because I use it as a workspace for my business, and the bare concrete floors were becoming a problem. Our home was built with fiberglass concrete, which means that there are these little "hairs" sticking up from the floor. Because I work with plant material for my business, the bits of flower/leaf were starting to stain the floor and the hairs were getting all nasty and gross. Not ideal at all!!! I went to Home Depot and bought an epoxy kit to try to give the floors a finish myself. Long story short, it was a complete disaster, and the floor were worse than when I started (the company that sells the epoxy kit even gave me a full refund). Graham was the first person I called. He was friendly, gave me an awesome quote and was responsive over the phone. I proceeded to get quotes from five other places and his price could not be beat. Other businesses were quoting me $600 more for jobs without all the bells and whistles he was offering. Say what???? I finally booked with Graham and they were able to come 2 business days after we decided to work together. He brought a crew of guys, they worked all day and finished the floor in one day. The results are gorgeous. Our neighbor says it looks like granite and wants Graham to do his floor, too! It's really important that I work with business owners that treat their workers well. I chatted with the crew when Graham wasn't around and asked them if they OT pay. Both said that Graham was a great employer, he pays OT and he even gives bonuses when they work big jobs. This guy must be doing something right. Seriously, it's so easy to cheat workers in this economy. Graham seems like a really honest guy who likes to do things right. When Graham came out for estimate he saw a slab mostly covered by carpet. On the day the job was to begin he saw the whole picture. To say the least - it was rough. When I had the slab poured I planned to cover with tile or carpet. So I was not concerned with the finish. It was pitted and uneven, They arrived around 8am- like they said they would- and quickly got to work. Under normal circumstances they would have finished my little 400sq ft job by 5pm. Just had the guys come over the other week and polish up my nasty garage floor, and man did they do a good job. Had a great experience with Gram and his team, and they really take there work with detail to the end. When they showed up at 8:00am (ON TIME) they got right to work sanding the entire floor, to perfection. Since the machine was not able to get into some of the area of my garage, they broke out the sander and did it by hand. 12 hours later the floor was like a mirror and the black stain looked amazing. If your a car guy who gets his (or her) hands dirty, this floor is great. Not only is it perfect for the environment, but it's your floor. No plastic crap, of cracked tiles. Plus you can still weld and not worry about any flash getting on it. So all in all it looks cool, and the work was done to perfection, by perfectionists! read more

JC Concrete Polishing did a great job on our floors. We wanted a surface that was easy to care for and good for someone with allergies, so we decided to go with polished concrete. We had carpet over tile that we removed (boy was that fun). The crew worked hard and were fast at getting our floors done and we have really appreciated the results. They look nice and are as easy to care for as we had hoped. There were a couple spots that needed touch-up after the fact. It did take a bit of time to coordinate to get them to come back for the touch-up because they were busy, but we did eventually get it worked out and they were able to fill in those couple of spots. read more
