Flooring was done shabby gaps between pieces, uneven. Molding was installed fell away from the wall was put in uneven gaps all along the wall. When called to come and repair wanted 250 dollars just to come out and look at the job but not to repair poor installation. Would never recommend them to anyone. read more

I found Daniel flooring on yelp when I was frantically searching for a tile/flooring company. I needed somebody to come in behind the plumbers after they removed portions of the tile floor in my bathroom to fix a pipe/toilet issue. Daniel was very nice. He could tell I was stressed. His disposition put me at ease and I knew then I had found someone I could rely on. His brother went out to assess the job and provided timely feedback/estimate. Once the plumbers were done, the flooring job was complete. Toilet was set back in place and I was no longer stressed. Thank you Daniel. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE PEOPLE!!! HIGH REVIEWS PROBABLY FAKE. The two brothers in charge of Daniel's flooring are not only unprofessional, but plain crappy human beings. I'll describe my interaction with them and you can make up your own mind. I call them on Saturday because I need help with my kitchen's floor. We set up a meeting for Tuesday at 2:30pm. Tuesday at 3pm they have not showed up, so I call them. Daniel tells me that he screwed up and didn't write down the correct date, we should do Wednesday. Sure. Wednesday David shows up at my place. Really pleasant guy, we talk about what I need and I explain to him that to me the most important thing is whether they can get the job done and are not too busy. He says "there will be no problem, we have more than 30 people working for us and we can get started next week." I tell him that it is a relief, because I have a pregnant wife and want the place to look like a home ASAP. He tells me that a quote will be sent to me by 12pm next day, and if it doesn't show up, to call them. Thursday at 4pm, no quote. I call and I talk to Daniel. He just plainly tells me that he will refuse to service me because there are "too many variables." He says that he has other jobs, blah, blah, blah. I am a small business owner in business for 12 years. I decided to do a small renovation and hired Daniel Flooring to install new carpet. The representative who came to my office to sell the product and represent the company suggested I go with tile squares, which we did. Though they did a timely install, they left my office in shambles. They said they would take pictures of where everything was so they could put it back in the right place, however things were just throw all over. The dust is horrific. Cups and scraps were left in corners and under tables. They clearly stepped on my chairs with dirty shoes, because they left footprints. They used tape to close cabinet draws that was not intended for such use, and my cabinet is now ruined. All of this can be cleaned and fixed, however they also left a huge wire running along the middle of the floor which is a clear safely hazard. When I called to ask what types of solutions they had, Daniel said it was up to me and it was my fault for not informing him any wires existed. Even though he sent a representative to look at my office several times, it was my fault. Even though I am an educator, and not a flooring specialist, it was my fault. He suggested I hire an electrician to fix the issue. This was not a small job, costing approximately $7400.0, and to be told they are unable to find a solution for an issue they caused is unacceptable. When I said they should have called me during installation to discuss the issue, the owner said it was too late to make change because they had already ordered the carpet and they would take a loss. He knew of the issue and left a clear safety hazard in a business that he knows services children with special needs. No only does he not care about customer satisfaction, but he clearly does not care for the safety of children either. I will obviously fix the issue, because children's safety is a priority for me, but shame on Daniel flooring for even making this an issue. They are shameful and offer horrific customer service, not caring about the outcome, just caring about their profit. read more

I e-mailed the following to the company after my experience... I just wanted to take a moment to follow up with you regarding my experience with your company earlier today. Tom came over to fix a piece of scratched flooring. My husband and I are expecting our third child (my due date is tomorrow!) and I was dreading having a contractor in the house. Not only did Tom explain to me what he was doing when I asked but he was meticulous in cleaning up after himself. He also showed his character when he found my "secret savings" - an envelope with cash that I had forgotten about - and he gave it to me! His work was outstanding (again, I am a very pregnant perfectionist! ;O). I hope he is recognized as the exemplary hardworking employee that he is! DO NOT use this company for your tile needs. My fiasco lasted a month long. First of all this company that has been in business for over 20 years, covered tile over tile resulting in an uneven, unbalanced floor. So Dangerous! Daniel-owner and "Pat"-tiler thought there was nothing wrong with that. "Pat" sarcastically said "just lift your legs when you walk." Who are these people? Experienced tilers? They ripped out all the tile at my expense and my request and redid the tile although the owner tried to talk me out of it. Daniel, is your tile floor at home uneven? No, I don't think so. Secondly the tile is now reinstalled and there are saddles everywhere and it's an eyesore. I sent Daniel a text message and he responded: Daniel:There's going to be a gap then those have to stay because it cannot tie in or those wouldn't have been there to begin with. Living room should have been installed first that was the issue the whole time.Me:Too late to change it? Daniel: Yes it was too late after we did the bedrooms first. It would've looked much better Me: Any way he can thin them out? Daniel: No those come 1.5. The cover under the dishwasher is missing or got thrown out and all the wires are exposed. Pat answered "We don't throw those out!" While I was cleaning I found areas where the glue separated from the saddle giving it a crunching sound when I stepped on it and other areas where the tile wasn't laid out correctly. There is a hole in the tile in my utility closet that wasn't patched up. When I sent photos to Daniel and he said they it would get fixed. It took a while to get that done. They had more important places to tile and I was not a priority. By the way,"Pat"- got stoned frequently and daily taking "smoke" breaks as often as he could!!!! That's why what should have taken a week ended up taking a month. That's why the work was done so shoddy and sloppily. (His girlfriend "Toni" ratted him out) Again,Daniel was notified and all he could say was that "Pat" has a card to buy marijuana. Anyone can get a card. I don't care what you do in your spare time. Not while you're working!!!!!!! What should have taken 1 week to 10 days, took 1 month and it's still not done right. I contacted the Better Business Bureau and he lied to them saying that I thought everything was fine. When Pat came in to repair the damage he yelled at me and asked if he should come back another day because I told him that I needed him to work quickly as I had a wedding to go to. Absolute Rude and Disrespectful Behavior! Who talks to customers like that???!!!! that!! I give this company NO STARS for Competence, Knowledge, Workmanship and Professionalism. They take little pride in their work. My floors look like an eyesore after time and hard-earned money spent. I will not be referring this company to anyone! read more

$7200 - Approx. 1200 sq ft. of Mannington, Ontario Oak - Gunstock Laminate Laid in Dining, Living area, hallway, and 3 bedrooms (essentially the whole house, minus bathrooms and kitchen) Daniel flooring was exceptional to work with from day one. Mr. Daniel ordered additional samples for us prior to purchase and was quick to respond to any questions or inquiries. Rich and Tom were the gentleman who laid the flooring and they were professional, clean and meticulous. They take great pride in their work and it certainly shows. It took about a week to get the floors in and the guys started on Tuesday, Oct 13 and completed the job on Saturday, Oct 18. They would clean up each day before they left to go home and included me on anything that was a concern or a heads up. I'm not sure if you can request them, but we had a great experience with Tom and Rich from Daniel Flooring. Overall, it's great to support local businesses within the area and they truly have Fair Prices for Quality Work. Will be a returning customer for when we decide to renovate the kitchen and need tile work. Definitely a pleasant experience. read more

Floor nightmare We hired Daniel Flooring to install new porcelain tile in our house but the job was not done right and when we told the installers that they had to redo the job they refused and quit. They left gaps between the tile and the walls, these gaps cannot be covered with the baseboard because they are more than one inch. The job was done very poorly and they did not do the proper lay out. When we noticed the mistake, we told the workers that the tile job was not done properly and that they needed to remove the tile that they installed incorrectly and had to put new tile but they refused to do so and quit the job and left. I called Daniel, the owner of the company and explained him what his employees did and also sent pictures showing the big gaps and the terrible job that the installers did. He came to my house 4 days later and saw what his employees did wrong, I told Daniel that the tile needed to be removed and start over in order to fix the problem but he refused to do that and instead he only offered to provide free baseboards and quarter round which won't cover the gaps left and won't fix the problem. The installers also damaged the wood panel of my kitchen cabinets and broke the kitchen blind, they took it to get it fixed but as of today Daniel has not returned the blind. Daniel refused to fix the problem with the tile, he said that he won't remove the tile that was put incorrectly and re-do it properly, he refused to pay for the carpenter to get the cabinets panel fixed and we are still waiting for the blind that they took to get fixed. If you want to experience a nightmare with your flooring project, waste your money and pay extra for damage in your home, hire this company. read more

Daniel installed a wood floor in my house about a year ago. At first we loved the product. Months went by and we started noticing dark spots and the finish on top seemed to be stripping through various spots in the house. I called Daniel back thinking he would fix the problem since he has had such great reviews. His guy came out and stated that I had a moisture problem. Daniel stated that it was my fault the wood had a moisture problem and that I would have to pay to fix it. Mind you the problem is throughout the entire home. I decided to hire a Certified Floor Inspector who stated that Daniel never did the proper moisture testing and that it was installer error. The moisture barrier that was put down was not done correctly and has since failed. These were the independent inspectors note. Daniel still insisted that it was my fault against the report of the inspector. Save yourself the trouble and don't hire this guy! He will not take accountability for his bad job read more
