Not sure why this company has so many one star reviews, but it seems like the customer dissatisfaction is misplaced. Jose has excellent customer service and I could tell he has years of experience, as he fixed the issues with our light fixtures promptly. He is very professional and approachable. Save yourself time and money and avoid this company at all costs. The girl who takes their calls us hardly answering phones and letting everything go to voicemail. Also never responds. Even when they do, she has a big time attitude issue. There are many good electrical companies out there. Save your $$$ and find someone else. For a warranty claim that they already visited the house and supposedly fixed it, happened again. Now they don't want to come until after 5 days. Jose from JC Electrical was assigned to me via my home warranty company. Jose showed up promptly, had very good customer service, and even took the time to walk me through what he was doing, why he was doing it, and what to expect. It was refreshing to have Jose come to look at the house - it turns out our power issue was related to the utility pole with Jose immediately diagnosed. The lady said she would call me back in 5 mins to update the status. It has been more than 30 mins, no call no answer. I don't like people lying! I should finalize the review when they complete the project. The work was done properly, to be fair, I decide to change the rate to 4 stars. Communication is important! Gladys at JC Electric is the rudest, most unprofessional person I have ever talked to in my entire life. After having an appointment scheduled for several days and after she said her driver would not be out to our house today because of car trouble I told her that it was electrical and critical and we needed someone today. She yelled at me and said "well I am referring this back to the insurance company" and HUNG UP on me. She didn't give me a chance to respond at all. That is so rude and inconsiderate and unprofessional. Well this company has just lost that insurance company's referrals and everyone I know referrals. As the first person representing her company she has failed miserably and put this company in jeopardy. It's her JOB to deal with the public in a professional manner. 0 Star is more like it. Yes I asked if they only had one truck, yes I asked if there was someone else that could come out. And I was not happy. JC Electrical was assigned to me from my home warranty. I spent $85 for the call but Jose said that nothing was covered by the warranty. I asked him to give me an estimate on re-doing the electrical in my kitchen. The was on 12/08/21. Jose NEVER got back to me. I called them 3 additional times to get the estimate, but they NEVER got back to me. JC Electrical was a complete waste of my time and money. I am extremely disappointed in them. read more

This company was assigned by my warranty company, but have not been responsive. We were told that our work order was impending an action from PGE. When we followed up with PGE they advised that there was no record of a request made to them and advised us on the process which was not consistent with what JC Electric told us. After reading other reviews, seems my complaint is consistent with others from a customer service perspective. Very frustrated given the severity of our electrical problem. read more

Sadly, these guys get 1 Star. I left them vm to give them a chance to address their screw-ups directly, but haven't heard back. Their service guy came to replace our bathroom fan but wired the thing incorrectly, so now when I hit the switch for the light, both the fan and light go on; when I hit the switch for the fan, both the fan and the light go on. But wait, there's more. They damaged the otherwise new and pristine cabinets, and failed to tell us. We didn't see the damage until the worker had us sign the "satisfied with the work" part of this company's invoice before he scooted out the door. Avoid this company. read more

American Home Shield sent him to me. I told him we replaced a door, he told American Home Shield we were remodeling so it would not be covered. I told him we found faulty wiring and he told American Home Shield the wiring was cut. I still have no power in my living room and have been charged $125.00. Awesome service and so polite. Jose came today to fix an electrical problem in our sunroom. He was extremely knowledgeable, very efficient and super quick! He diagnosed the problem and had us up and running in 30 minutes. Jeanette who answers the phones and does the scheduling was very nice and extremely responsive too. Everyone was super a pleasure to deal with. We have a couple new light fixtures that need to be installed and I will definitely call JC Electric to install those and any time I have electrical issue in the future. Terrible. First Javier did not wear a mask. 2nd he was in my house for less than 10 minutes. He came because my microwave was tripping the breaker. He wrote some stupid report that literally said the microwave was tripping the breaker when ran with other appliances and to only run the microwave by itself... I couldn't believe it. First off per the National electrical code the microwave is supposed to be on its own circuit. He even admitted it was an upgrade and it it was approved he would do it. He did nothing I was charged 100 for 10 minutes to be told to run the microwave by itself. I clown could figure that out. What he didnt do was write a proper diagnostic report that should have said the microwave is not to code and needs to be on its own circuit. My kitchen is on 1 circuit and my warranty at American Home Shield includes an upgrade to bring items up to code this needs to be brought up to code. I was scheduled to receive service for the power outage in my home On 1/4/22. No one ever came. No one has called me. I have had no kitchen power (refrigerato, lights,microwave, etc) since 12/30/21. I read the reviews on line about JC Electric. Some were great, some not so great. My home warranty company, First American sent them so I could not pick the company. However, Jose was awesome! He called 15 minutes before arriving, and then arrived on time! I cannot tell you the number of companies that have called to say they will be at my house in 15 minutes or 30 minutes and show up an hour or more later.. anyway, Jose accessed the problems and immediately got to work. My home warranty assigned them to my house. They called me to let me know what time to expect them and arrived on the dot. The electrician (forgot to get the name :( was extremely knowledgeable and fixed all the electrical problems in the house immediately. He even went above and beyond and helped me replace lightbulbs and other things that he did NOT have to do. Electrician came to my home as a part of the FAHW and he did not reported information to warranty company with the proper reporting as well as he took picture of the issue and he have not submitted pictures and FAHW has closed the service request saying there is a no issue. Now, I need to stay on the call with FAHW and arguing about my issue. Not a good electrician. I am not recommending him for any electric work. read more

Jose is wonderful. Keeps his promise, is on time, and he/his crew does good work for a good price. Very honest and very personable. There may be issues with scheduling etc, but his work is excellent and we trust him. Non warranty emergency service may not be his strength, as he does a huge amount of home warranty service that cover emergencies. I was assigned this company by the home warranty. They put me on cold for two nights, arrived late on the appointment day. The technician just an eyeball glance decided the problem- without any actual inspections. He wanted to impose his notion without taking any actual inspections while I was trying to explain the situation the best; but he would not listen. I am not happy with his services at all, and I would not recommend them because of their high handed nature. read more

Jose was scheduled to come between 12-4 and thankfully he arrived even earlier than scheduled. I had phone meetings while he was there and he was very respectful of my time. He knew right away what to do and troubleshooted quickly. He was very friendly and most importantly knowledgeable and fast! Awful front office who never ever return calls. Made an initial appointment but had to change it and it took me a week of repeatedly calling and leaving messages (never returned) to finally have them pick up the phone to change the day/time but after doing so they turned out to be a no show and I did not get a call back to apologize or any updates. They performed a previous job on a blown outlet for the dryer which was covered by our home warranty so the actual electrician/technician is probably fine but would never call them ever again due to the incompetent and absentee front office. read more

Sent by Fidelity Home Warranty, Jose cut and reconnected few wires to restore power to the outlet which caused major blackouts in my house. Garage and outside lights are not working. When called them, this lady has some issues and talks bad or hangup. read more

JC electrical was scheduled to come to my home tomorrow, but they had a cancellation and he came today. Jose was awesome, he fixed my overhead ceiling fan and light and replaced the remote which had blown out because of an electrical surge. He was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, cleaned up after he was done, and very reasonably priced for the brand new remote control that my home warranty didn't cover. He actually had a brand new remote control setup on hand in his truck and installed it right then. He even looked at my fluorescent lightbulbs in my kitchen to tell me what size I needed to replace them with. I highly recommend J C Electrical for all your electrical needs! read more

JC Electrical was the company assigned to a claim through First American Home Warranty regarding faulty outlets that would not hold plugs. They had sent out Carlos, a technician, on 5/2/2018. I showed him a plug that would not hold a simple cell phone charger and he said it needs to be a 3 prong plug. When I showed him how my 3 prong vacuum would also not plug he stated because of the quantity of plugs he would have to check with the home warranty to see if this will be covered. He casually said, "if it's one or two plugs I can do it for you today". I let him know that there were more plugs that also do not work, why would I settle for only a couple getting replaced? He mentioned that I would be contacted within 24 hours with a decision from the home warranty. 72 hours later, I left them a message asking what the status was. After 4 voicemails and over a weeks time, they still have not contacted me. I took it upon myself to call First American Home Warranty this morning to find out what the status was and let them know my experience with JC Electrical. To my amazement, Carlos the technician told First American Home Warranty that I was doing renovations and the plugs work which is grossly inaccurate. What does doing renovations have to do with plugs not holding in electrical outlets? First American Home Warranty confirmed that my outlets are covered and that these need to be fixed. The claim has now been escalated to upper management to have another electrical company get assigned to this claim. My only conclusion is that this company did not want to do the work for some odd reason, maybe because of the quantity of plugs that are not working correctly. To think that I was in the market looking for an electrician to install under cabinet lighting, bathroom fans, recessed lighting, upgrade our light switches, etc. This company lost a ton of business not only from myself but my clients as I am in real estate and get asked for vendor referrals frequently. I will not be doing business with this company and do not recommend them whatsoever, very unprofessional. read more
