Don't go here! They burned my hair, itchy scalp and when I called to talk to the salon manager, Elvira, she's a true loonetic person. She laughed when I told her my hair was damaged at your salon after a coloring job plus scalp got itchy. Dnk what was so funny! She found it humorous so then I called Jcp customer service #, who routed me to Jcp store manager who never cared to respond back to me; its over a week now! How unprofessional and lame. TAKE IT FROM ME, don't do it!! Decided to get my 3yr olds first hair cut after shopping. Brittany took us a walk in. Very disappointed in the work done. My daughter's hair was not wet, she did not have her look down so her hair looks so choppy! Like literal steps. She kept blaming the unevenness on my daughter's hair being in pig tails prior to the apt. I politely said thank you, paid for it and left! I did not even want her to try to fix it. Made an appointment with Brittney about 2 weeks ago. She cut my hair and we made a plan for dying my hair, highlights and I bought deep conditioning product to prepare for this 4 hour appointment. I get there and my appointment was moved from 12 pm to 1 pm. Then I go back at 1pm and she acts like we never made a plan, she acted like she couldn't hear me and told me she only booked me for a haircut. I don't expect the stylist to remember every customer however we talked about this for over a half hour I stood at the computer when she made the appointment. So disappointing. I went into this salon and I showed the person a pic of what I wanted and asked if it was possible to do with my hair, she said yes. I also verified with the stylist and she did say that it wouldn't be an exact match but that it was possible. Not even close! The stylist apologized and did say that two colors sort of meshed together. I have been to the JCPENNY salon in Manteca, CA four times in the last year for cut and highlights and had different stylists each time. I was unhappy with the cuts the first three times until my 4th visit with Brittany. She is absolutely amazing....excellent hairstylist. She listens to your needs and concerns and discusses them with you. I am very picky about my hair and for the first time I walked away from my appointment with Brittany having not one complaint. Intended to go to Sears outlet to check out Washer and Dryer but it was traffic. Long story short, we're glad that we ended up here. I have called to schedule an appointment to get a haircut. The women who answered the phone name Bianca was so rude. She was not very pleasant or professional. After scheduling an appointment I said thank you and she hung up on me. So at first I did not catch her name so I decided to call back and I said thank you then slams the phone. Common Courtesy needs to be taught when answering phone lines. Thank you, your welcome, have a great day. On two separate occasions Marcela has made me feel unwelcome due to her terse and rude manner. The first time I went in for my eyebrows to be waxed. She made me feel like she didn't want to wax my eyebrows, then she said she doesn't like their wax and I should probably go somewhere else. I did. The next time my mom and I went for haircuts for which we had appointments. We sat for ten minutes with no greeting. Finally my mom went and found her only for her to tell us we needed to wait ten more minutes. When she came out she asked what we wanted and said she didn't have time for both of us if we wanted our hair washed (which we didn't). Again she made it seem like did not want to help us, especially since she kept looking at her watch. My mom and I started to feel uncomfortable because she was making faces and noises like she didn't feel like helping us. I showed her the haircut I wanted and she said if I got that haircut I'd need to do my hair everyday so don't get it. I thought that was rude. I went there yesterday and didn't have any expectations bc the reviews are kinda all over the place here. I do somehow agree with some of the reviews about on of the receptionist being not the most bubbly person but I have no complaints she made my appointment and asked lots of questions. I went in yesterday (10/01/19) and my stylist was Aly (I think that's how you spell her name sorry!) was incredibly friendly and welcoming. And I think she did an incredible job and did just as I asked and even more! I just went in to trim all my dead hair after a long overdue cut and my hair looks so healthy right now! I even called today and asked what shampoo and conditioner she used on me because my hair feels and smells amazing. A different receptionist from the first time answered the phone today and she was so patient and friendly and completely went out of her way to call Aly who was not in today and ask for me, which I appreciate so much! I avoided getting my hair colored for almost a year. Long story short, I had a bad experience; horrible color turn out and I was worried about trying to go to a new place with a new stylist. Decided to try this salon and it went beyond what I was expecting. The salon itself was open, clean, and not too busy (which is what I'm more comfortable with). I went in for back to school with my daughter, I asked if they had time to just cut her bangs a 2 or 3 inches of her ends, they said sure have a seat. We wait for 15 minutes and then a girl asks me what were you looking to get done, I said not me, just my daughter it is mostly her bangs.. She says it's about to be 5:00 o'clock and we close at 5:30 pm I said it's fine if you don't have time to cut her ends can you at least cut her bangs? She said I don't know if I will have enough time because I have to clean my station before I leave, she says wait here and I'll check. I wait another 10 minutes and she said okay so I don't know if I'm gonna have time or not, I asked her to let me know cause I had been waiting for 25 min. and I told her she could of cut her bangs already, that if she didn't want to I can just go somewhere else. I brought my daughter to get a haircut and her hair straight about a week ago or so and had a great experience. We were recommended to go there and advised it was a very clean and fresh looking place to go. We saw a Kayla T. She was very nice and professional. My daughter had a big thing to go to and Kayla was able to help calm her down and get her even more excited about the event. Kayla was also able to calm me down as I was on Daddy duty because my wife was tied up. She did an absolutely amazing job and my daughter was on cloud nine. Kayla even had time to cut my hair. She is absolutely amazing. The only down side is that Ms Kayla T is pregnant and might not be there the next time we need hair cuts. I will be going again and will also be bringing the rest of my kids. Highly recommend place to go and highly recommended to see Kayla T. Friendly. Professional. Knows what she's doing. I called for an appt for a haircut. I was given a 4:30 appt with Jacqueline. I am in a cast and i needed my hair washed and blow dried as well. I got there 5 minutes early and Jacqueline let me know she ALREADY had a 4:30 in her chair and was probably double booked. Did i want to wait?! NO, i HAVE the 4:30 slot and NO I DONT WANT TO WAIT!!! I never received an apology of any kind!!She was rude and dismissive and was only slightly polite when I asked for the manager's name and number.
