We had a very bad experience with the main hair stylist.she was rude and unprofessional to my daughter. Was dismissing her request on how she wanted her hair done. Came back to update the bayalage on my now short hair. It was not bayalage nor the color I wanted. I asked Taylor to redo it since I wasn't happy. I was expecting to have received the service free of charge since I not satisfied to begin with but she charged me $40. I still tipped too and now that I think of it, I shouldn't have tipped at all. I am still unhappy with the color and I am thinking of just going somewhere else to have it colored darker to just fix the mess that Taylor did. read more

When I called the salon for appointment, they said they didn't take appointments while I had to wait until someone with appointment was done getting her hair coloured. The lady with short grey hair cut my hair way too much. I asked her to take off 1 inch, while she asked if I meant 2, I confirmed I meant 1 inch. She eventually ended up taking almost 4 inches off my hair. She didn't partition my hair for a haircut. She just went about trimming and trimming until I asked her to see if it looks even with the partition, it didn't. She took off another half inch to make it even. There used to be a guy as a hairstylist, who was really nice, but when we asked about him today she replied rudely. We were the regular customers here for the last 4 years but from today "A BIG NO" to this salon specially because of that lady. We went five members to get a haircut but after getting two we decided not to get more. The lady with short grey hair did a shitty job on my hair. I went for highlights, and the lady took almost an hour and 45 minutes to get color and washing; when it was time for hair wash, she started to pull aluminum foils harshly; maybe several of them pulled together and gave me severe pain; I felt like someone was trying to uproot my hair. She also left my neck and forehead with big patches of color. Altogether a lousy job. She charged me $160 for a bad job done; I needed to leave the salon without the blowdry. This was the second time this bob-cut grey hair lady had done my hair; both times, my experience was unpleasant. The skin around my neck was full of hair color and burning as she tried to take the color off my skin. I might have to get something out of CVS to remove the color patches, as it was still quite visible after numerous attempts. The skin had sharp burning sensations And I do not have allergies; it might be because the color left on my skin was rubbed with different chemicals. It's advised if you go here, try to stay away from the short grey hair lady; the other seems to do a decent job. Overall I liked this place. However, they are always in a hurry and do not attend to customers with full attention. I would recommend trying other hair places in Tracy. read more

I got a hair cut and highlights by Lynda! Very relaxing and chill environment. She plays good music and she's really nice and gentle. My hair came out really well, soft and vibrant highlights. Made a last minute appointment just the day before and I was given the first time slot of the day with Helen for a color. I personally didn't know how well this salon does in general let alone how Helen's work would be. According to Yelp reviews, I decided to just go with it as I needed some change and I'm on vacation. Might as well treat myself and be a risk taker for once. A couple-three hours later, she wowed me!! My husband also came with me and got a haircut by Linda. I was tired of cutting his hair for him since this COVID pandemic because I take a really long time cutting his hair trying to make sure it comes out perfect. Taylor salon is very reasonably priced - averaging $45 for a deep conditioning treatment, haircut and hair styling. That being said, I usually go to Linda and she is a hit or miss. Many times she will be careful and articulate with cutting my hair and it will be great, the same length and shinny/voluminous; however other times she will be frantic, rushed and quite frankly a bit rude. The times when she is rushed my hair will take the hit and end up being choppy and uneven, as well as pulled and treated poorly. More than Linda, I highly recommend coming to Taylor herself as she is always articulate and precise with haircuts, never rushes the customer, takes her time and makes sure that you like your haircut before you leave. Taylor even goes above and beyond with showing you the back of your hair with a hand held mirror throughout the cut and asking if you like the length. Never once was my hair mistreated, pulled or was I burnt with a straightener with her. read more

At first I was a bit skeptical. my friend introduced to me to this place and I saw a bunch of pictures they look like they can do a good job Kevin did a phenomenal job onto my hair it's beautiful the purple is rich but yet subtle. Originally I wanted to go on the deep blue but unfortunately I still have a red hue in my hair so he advised me to go to purple to cancel the red out so next time he can dye my hair blue next time. he did a terrific job he's so honest. I love how he saved my hair from getting severely damaged from bleaching. He need to bleach it just once and then he put the purple dye. Kevin is terrific I'm definitely coming back to him next time. Two haircuts for $80... and my mother didn't even shampoo her hair :( WTH ! We had an appointment and we waited for 1 hour to get seated. So what's the appointment for??? The place is getting so outdated and dirty too When they seated my mother, she was seating in hair from previous customer and the floor was still with hair. I believe the owner told all the workers to make sure do not accept any cards if anyone asked make sure to say that the credit card machine is not working and let all customers know that we have a ATM machine in the back please go and take a cash so know we have to pay $2.00 fees. I wish I had a better experience here. I'm giving a 3 star rating because they're open later on Saturday and they're open Sundays but DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS YOU LIKE CHOPPY HAIR. They're very nice people but I showed a video of how I normally have my bangs and it was completely ignored because SHE wanted to add layers to my bangs and thin them out. I went here to have my daughters' hair be trimmed. She requested a 3 inches trim only. My daughter even pointed out how long she wanted hair to be cut. For some reason I don't know if the lady understood? Heard? Or the lady just do whatever! But she cut my daughters' long beautiful straight hair (down to her waist) almost up to half of her shoulder blade!! Lady 3 inches not 15 !! Im furious .... Never again! The worst haircut I've ever gotten yesterday Thursday, March 7, 2024! I've gone to Taylor's over the years when I haven't been able to get appointment with my hair stylist. I am a former hairstylist, haven't been in the business for decades. When I told her what and how I wanted my trim and she does the total opposite not good !!! Only 2 stylists yesterday and I was the only customer. I paid $40.00 for an uneven shag haircut not what I wanted at all and I explained NOT to texture my hair because it's curly but fine and before I could for the third time say no she was all ready doing it!!!
