A real person called and left a message. I called back to explain what I was interested in and he scheduled an appointment for that day (I think). I was assured that I'd be called or texted when the technician was on his way. I expected to have to wait the full 2-hour window I was given, but no! I was called about 5 minutes before the window started to see if I was still available. The technician arrived exactly on time, right at the start of the window! After a short explanation of my needs he just said "OK, let's take a look at the space and talk about it." He explained every step of what they'd do to install a tankless water heater, he looked at the whole area to check for pipes, electrical access, spacing inside and out for a condensation line - making feel very comfortable that it would be planned before the installation to avoid last minute issues. A big plus, he told me he'd be part of the installation team. He also told me I should go ahead and get another few quotes. I think these guys are confident they're giving the prices in the sweet spot of costs. Then we spent time just talking about landscaping and plants! I'm not in a hurry to start this project, it's on my list of improvements and I'm just starting to investigate. However, I'm extremely impressed with the service given at this stage, the thorough approach in explaining, and the honestly. I will get another quote, but the next one has a high bar to cross; not only the service, but Water Heaters Masters quote was WELL below the only other quote I had gotten so far. While a water heater contractor was replacing the valves, I noticed corrosion around an internal seal; they told me I'd have to figure out the parts with Rinnai myself, and their quote for the labor ended up being far too costly. My home's water pressure had also been high for years, which EBMUD confirmed was my responsibility to fix. I had recently been through a layoff, and the financial pressure of maintaining a mortgage while facing multiple expensive repairs was a real concern. High water pressure eventually wears out seals and causes catastrophic damage, so I knew I had to use my emergency fund to find a plumber who would get the job done right. Willy showed up for the quote on time and conducted an efficient, knowledgeable survey of my main riser. His communication style was clear, concise, and confidence-inspiring. He quoted a reasonable price compared to other vendors and was willing to work within my budget. He immediately chose a 1" manifold design to match the main service line--rather than a value-engineered 1/2" design--and even worked with me to relocate my hose bibb to a more accessible height so I wouldn't have to stoop. 1 Star - Unacceptable service and zero responsibility…read more I had a very bad experience with Fast Water Heater Company. One of my apartment tenants had an issue with the water heater. It was working poorly, so I contacted the original water heater company, and they referred me to Fast Water Heater Company. Their technician came out, inspected the unit, and said the water heater was bad and needed to be replaced. They installed a "new" water heater and left. Immediately after they left, the tenant realized there was no hot water at all. The water heater was not working. We tried contacting them multiple times with no response. After two full days, I finally spoke to them and was told that the control board of the brand new water heater is bad and that it will take another week to fix. This is completely unacceptable. An apartment cannot legally be left without hot water for a week. When I explained this, they said "sorry, we can't help you." It is very clear that either the technician made a mistake during installation and damaged the control board, or they installed a defective unit. Either way, they refused to take responsibility or provide an immediate solution. Leaving tenants without hot water and walking away from the problem is not professional and not fair. I strongly do not recommend this company. They take your money, replace equipment, and when the job is done incorrectly, they disappear and leave you with the problem
