After a sprinkler repair company diagnosed my root cause as an old reduced pressure valve, I posted a Yelp request and head from Ivan very quickly. He came the next day and gave me a super reasonable quote, additionally he took a look at my sprinkler system set up and offered to clean up the previous owner's janky pipes and wiring set up (toddler danger!). His final estimate was lower than other contractors who were only going to replace the one valve in my garage. And then on the day of the scheduled work, Ivan and crew arrived on time and quickly and quietly finished the work. Ivan even came back after the job was done when I asked for small tweaks to the water pressure. With the new valve now my faucets flow don't go all weak when the shower is on or when someone flushes the toilet. Highly recommend, would def call Ivan for my future plumbing needs. read more

The experience with Rojas was unexpectedly good. They did all the plumbing for a Berkeley permitted bathroom remodel - moved the toilet and shower and vanity fixtures. It was a complex job and they had to deal with me - who pulled the permit and knew nothing about plumbing and fixtures. They also helped me figure out how to vent a knew fan and connected me to a roofer who also did a stellar job. I had contacted a half dozen plumbers and Rojas was the only one that followed through with a bid. Their price was good and they stuck by it through thick and thin. When a carpenter drilled through one of their pipes, they were there within a few hours to repair it. They are a busy company - and I can see why. They are good, reasonable, responsive, and nice. After dealing with multiple contractors during a one year long remodeling process, Rojas was a stark contrast to most of the other contractors that I worked with. Wow!! Rojas Plumbing was the first to respond and hired!! I broke the spout of my son's kitchen faucet at 2PM. Yelped for a plumber to replace about 230PM. They were the first to respond and hired by 315PM. Being it isn't my house I had to have it fixed immediately. Well let me tell you. They said that they'd be here in an hour, so I rushed to Home Depot and purchased a new faucet and about 10 minutes after getting back from Home Depot, they showed up before the hour was up!! Stop, turn around! Leave!!! These jokers are in the community but don't serve the community. We needed to have our thermostat repaired and I asked for a quote through Yelp and they were the one group that didn't get back to us. I would have preferred if they would have said that they didn't want to do the job. Anyway, asked them for a quote and did not get one. So I called and talked to someone and he said that it's better to call directly because they don't check Yelp for appointments. Hmmm... Anyway, I made an appointment. And on the day of service, my husband stayed home and waited and they didn't even come by. I called the guy and asked him about it and he said that he would check with his guys in the field and that they just decided not to go. Huh??? If they didn't want repair, they could have said something. Other companies did and some gave me prices that were out of pocket. Turns out, the joke's on them. My husband wants to replace the thermostat and the heater. So guess who I'm not calling? These losers. For plumbing needs, call Superior Plumbing. They actually keep their appointments and don't charge an arm and a leg for service. They are professional, timely and call you 1/2 hour or so before arriving at your place. And when you call them back, someone checks with the guys in the field and they confirm that you are still on the schedule. Originally, I posted about a responsive alternative, but the owner asked me to take it down because it was against guidelines. So I'm removing it. Had a strange leak that was causing our water main box to fill with water. Knew it wasn't coming from inside the house and EBMUD said it wasn't from the meter so thought we were going to have to spend $$$ for leak detection and someone to dig up the yard and repair it. Ivan came out and took a look and quickly found that the meter wasn't tightened properly. Took him about two seconds to fix and then he hung out with me for a solid 15 minutes to make sure it had truly stopped and there weren't other issues. Despite taking the time to make sure everything was in good working order he refused to charge me for it. Definitely give him a call if you want someone responsive who actually cares! read more

Rojas Plumbing came late in the day to be available when the sewer lateral team accidentally cut a water line. He had a team of 4-5 guys, 3 trucks and worked until 10pm at night until the leak was sourced and fixed. I asked for an additional outside water turn off, on top of all this, which they did quickly and efficiently. I was super impressed by the professionalism, knowledge and quickness. Our drain shoe in our bathtub became completely corroded, and what would be been an easy diy job soon turned out to be a mess due to another of the previous owner's...interesting...idea of home improvement...So, upon discovering that the issue is far more extensive because the old, shoddy installation, we decided to find a plumber because we needed this fixed ASAP because it is our only shower.
