We have been customers of JC Pool and Spa for several years. Initially our in-ground pool plaster was rough and bumpy. Tried brushing and different chemicals to no avail. Doug came out for a service call and diagnosed the problem as scale. Re-plastered and replaced the coping. Job was scheduled and completed quickly and we were able to use the pool for the remainder of the summer. Two years later my husband had a medical emergency and JC Pools came to our rescue. No, they didn't provide any medical services but they were able to fit us in their schedule quickly for pool opening and weekly maintenance and we have used their services ever since. We initially had them out 2 years ago because our heater went down and we couldn't find anyone (including our current company) that could get there within a month. We were having a huge party and wanted to heat the pool and the spa. They came out that weekend. We immediately switched and their service has been top notch ever since (and the price is even a little better than our old companies). Doug is extremely personable and his team has done an amazing job with every visit. They just replaced the heater and pump this year and we couldn't be happier. J C Pool and Spa is my service provider through a home warranty company (Total Protect). They refused to do my work because when I needed a heater they came in twice the amount of their competition Leslie Pools and I gave Leslies the pool heater job. I could not nor would I recommend them. read more

JC Pool review In past years, I received pretty good service from this company. They were expensive but they did a good job. Unfortunately, this season was an entirely different story. The first sign of trouble was when I came home in mid March and found the filter screens, which they had cleaned and stored over the winter, sitting outside on my porch. They had returned this bulky and expensive item without giving me a phone call or any kind of notification, which I felt was odd and a little rude. After all , they were unable to open the pool until June, so I had to carry it into my house and store it for several months. Around April, a portion of the cover, which they had put in place last fall fell into the pool, thus literally muddying the waters. On June 13th they came out and opened the pool. The 2 man crew stayed about an hour and left with the water still very much resembling a swamp. They said they would return but didn't say when. I worked on cleaning the pool myself and managed to turn the water blue although it remained very cloudy. With no prior notification, the crew returned a few days later and began to scoop out debris. They were going to vacuum but they informed me that the vacuum didn't appear to be working properly. They said they could stay or come back later but it would cost me a lot more money and I could probably handle it myself. So, I agreed to take over control of the pool not realizing two key things: 1. There was far more debris on the bottom than I realized. The pool was and still is very cloudy thus I am unable to see what's down there. 2. They had already charged me over $550. I called to discuss what I thought was an exorbitant fee for a filthy pool and was treated to a conversation with a highly combative and rude individual who essentially blamed me for the cover, for which I had payed them hundreds of dollars to put in place, falling in. I also spoke to the owner who wasn't necessarily rude, but was completely and utterly unapologetic. I got off the phone with the clear and definitive sense that they don't want to be bothered. It is my intention to take my business elsewhere but to be honest, I doubt they care. read more

They took quite some time to come out and quote my 2 pool repair jobs. Then after I asked them to start one now and do the next repair in a month since I had to lower the water they never returned my email. I sent several more and just gave up. Terrible customer service. read more
