We spent over $300 on apparel and one item was on back order. We have been calling and calling asking when it might come in as it was a travel bag that holds all of her sports equipment. She is the ONLY kid on the team that did not get this bag. We decided late to add her name to the bag and were told it was an extra $5... cool, we will pay this additional fee once the bag comes in. We received an invoice for $5 from Wicked Smart .. however I was waiting to pay the bill until we got confirmation that bag was actually in their facility. I called today and they told me it was in but I needed to pay the $6.48 invoice. I then said "you mean $5 invoice that I received on 2/4/22?" Their response was "someone quoted you wrong price and it's actually $6" I then advised them that I received an invoice for $5 and why is it more? "That is the price, $6" I know it's only a $1 but I don't understand how they can just decide to re-invoice me because some that works for them screwed up. I own a small business and I would NEVER do this to my customer, especially if it meant keeping the customer happy and coming back. I would just waive the $1 difference. The guy on the phone was very dismissive and basically told me "it is what it is, we won't start working on it until you pay the invoice" On top of all of that, they won't even let me pick up the bag, I have to depend on the coach taking time to go get it... Brought an expensive brand new swim bag with tags still on it to be monogrammed with my sons…read moreinitials. She embroidered the wrong initials, her error, the work order had the correct initials. She removed the wrong initials and replaced them with the correct ones. In order to do this the wrong stitching had to be pulled out. After removing stitching the bag now looks terrible because of the damage the needle did initially. I expressed my displeasure about the finished product and after much discussion where the owner stated she was actually "pleasantly surprised" how turned out. She commented on how long it took to remove the stitches. This was not my problem as all she had to do was read her work order that she herself filled out prior to starting. After much discussion she felt giving me the embroidery for free was very generous. She said she could bring the bag and ask some other people and they wouldn't see anything wrong with it. She felt didn't need to replace the brand new bag she ruined. She said only I would notice because I knew what had happen. If the bag was damaged because of the process then that is on me. The bag was damaged because of her error and having to rip out stitching. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone...the owner was rude and clearly does not take pride in the work she does. She was unwilling to resolve her error to my satisfaction. This was a gift but now it's my problem I guess.

There are tables/chairs set up around the room waiting for painters to sit at. The walls are lined with shelves of blank pottery to choose from. There are items such as plates, mugs, teapots, and vases. There are dinosaurs, bears, cars, treasure boxes, princess crowns, and a variety of coin banks. There was even a holiday section with Santa bowls, Rudolf plates, trees, and ornaments. There is something for everyone from kids to adults. It would really surprise me if someone couldn't find a piece to paint. There are art books, stencils, and stamps to help get your creativity flowing. The paints are a variety of beautiful colors - and there even is a tile showing how each paint looks when it dries (which was extremely helpful). The only down side might be the parking but that really is a stretch. There were only a few spots in front of the store - BUT there is more parking down behind the shop. Do not be deterred by the parking! My kids loved it here and they ended up spending 2-3 hours happily working on their projects. The owner is very helpful and came by often to refresh our water bowls. In one week the pieces will be ready for pick up and my children can't wait to see their creations glazed and fired. I really am genuinely happy this business has come in. It was a nice way to spend a few hours and I can easily see groups gathering here.

Last weekend, we held our daughter's 13th birthday party at Piece d'Occasion. Nine girls, including…read morethe birthday girl. It was a huge success, due in no small part to Heather's efforts. When we arrived shortly before the party, we found the place done up lovingly with balloons, a table nicely decorated for the girls, and another table set up for presents, with a commemorative plate for the occasion that all the girls got to sign, with our daughter's name already beautifully painted on it. Her favorite music was playing, too, with a custom playlist that Heather created for her based on her preferences. Once the girls finished catching up with each other, Heather led the girls through the process. There was a huge selection of figures for painting, and, of course, all the painting and decorating supplies the girls needed. While they worked, they were given glitter tattoos, which they went nuts for (what is it about glitter?). When the girls finished their pieces, they got their pizza (included in the price) and then we brought out the cake, and the party wound to a close. It went a few minutes over, but Heather was very understanding about it. The girls had a terrific time. My wife and I were delighted with everything, and Heather was wonderful to work with. The price was more than reasonable for what we got. We'd celebrate another birthday here in a heartbeat; in fact, we very well may, when our girl's 14th birthday rolls around!
