I usually order online due to mobility limitations, but anytime I can--I make this location my top priority. I have reached out to corporate--more than once and left many reviews on the JCP.com site. As an advocate and author, the staff at this location is a true reflection of the advocacy every person--especially within the disabled community--desires and deserves. I so appreciate the compassion, kindness and patience of every employee, every time I've been there. Customer service & engagement is paramount. I find myself shopping this location even if they don't have exactly what I'm looking for. Due to the excellent service, I find something to purchase. I stopped by to pick up some pajamas for 2 of my grandkids. Also, my baby son's friend daughter was turning 2 years old, so I was looking for a gift. JC Penney had lots of items for toddlers and infants. I purchased a Minnie Mouse stuffed toy and a really nice outfit, for the gift. I also purchased the pajamas for my grandkids. I had a 30% coupon as well, so I spent $113 for everything. I'll definitely be back soon. :-) read more

I shop at Jcpenney quite often, especially during a sale. This weekend was the sweet sale, when an employee hands you a candy bar when you walk in that has a discount to use at the register. I received 30% on my chocolate and bought some towels. But the whole time I was shopping, I believe I was greeted by all the staff! Either someone said good morning or asked if I needed help which I really enjoyed. Will be back again at the next sale. read more

I heard they have Sephora Inside JCPenny. That's what i wanted to check out. Cute little store inside the JCPenny. They had 1 lady working, Staci she was helpful and friendly. Although she was working alone she managed to check on everyone and provide assistance if needed. I scooped up some samples. I will be back. Even the ladies in JCPenny were lively when I entered. I came to pick up something I bought, when entering I was greeted immediately by everyone. I went to the pick up item counter, I know that is not the exact name of it, I just can't remember it right now :) ! I was immediately greeted and helped, as I was walking out with my item, which was in a large box, one of the employees ran to get the door for me and opened both doors while offering me a cart and assistance to my car. Visited 1/26/19- JcPenny! Never in my years would I consider JcPenny to be one of my go to stores for Homegoods, work clothing and just stuff! This location is where I purchase most of my clothing for work, there is always a large selection of career clothing.The Staff here can be a little cold and unfriendly but I try to smile and be friendly. This location also has an entire salon, although I've never patronized the salon area but they are always packed. I also love the Mini Sephora... I do feel that a Sephora store front would do well in this area. They have a small selection of everything but many times they don't have enough melanin hues for us brown girls and guys. read more

She was the only one working and had multiple people to assist but did not seem overwhelmed and politely told those next in assistance she would take of them. Not a great selection for men's clothing, but my biggest problem was being followed by some hap hazard security not one associate asked me for help yet the security kindly followed me outside and watched me get in the car. Utter disappointment. I won't be coming here again. read more

I'm very surprised to read negative reviews - when I go to this JCP everybody from the time you walk in the door is pleasant - if you don;t have a coupon they try to find you one - everybody is nothing but "overboard nice" The lady I deal with at catalog department always pleasant - and their petite department is so much better then Belk's - Belk's used to have a great one but the Fayetteville store stopped having a lot to choose from JCP Rocks! read more

She went right to work helping me out,even though she was busy helping other customers! She made all of us customers feel welcome,and her customer service was superb! This is the location I go to frequently in Fayetteville, GA or if not to Lenox Mall...my issue is my husband purchased some items for me on one of our Saturday outings to Lenox mall, and within those items was he Kat Von D setting spray, I decided to exchange it no more than 10 days later and called the Fayetteville location in JCPenney. I spoke to Stacey and explained to her I don't want a refund I wanted to exchange for another setting spray and she said without my receipt (even though I'm a beauty insider) that she cannot help me and to call the Lenox location. I did do so and they said I can exchange at any Sephora as long as I'm a beauty insider. I then called Stacey back at the Fayetteville location and she stated the rules are different at her shop and only Lenox may accept me. I just felt this was unacceptable and could of been handled differently. read more

I called the store to confirm that they had an item in stock that according to their website was "in stock". My first contact was with someone from customer service who transferred my call to the men's department. After waiting about 4 minutes, someone answered and asked if she could help. I told what I wanted and added that I had the item number which I gave her. She then asked, "what exactly is the item?" I GAVE YOU THE ITEM NUMBER!!! I'm thinking, I'll just go with it so described the item to her. After waiting another 10 minutes on the line, the bloody phone starting ringing and ringing and ringing until I eventually hung-up. So, instead of paying $14.40 for the item, I have to order online and pay the unnecessary $8.95 in shipping cost. JCPenney at 240 Banks Crossing in Fayetteville, GA today you FAILED a simple task and left this customer thinking, if this is how you do customer service, SHUT YOUR DOORS TODAY and train your workers. read more

I only came here to pick up an online order and still had a bad experience. Lady told me my order wasn't in even though I had an email stating it was. I ordered a set of black out energy saving curtains online, they had a great deal.. two high end curtain panels originally 100 was now 53 including tax. So I payed just 37 bucks on my card and the rest of the 16 was payed on a JC Penny gift card I had for a while. I picked them up in store and the lady working the back was just lovely, she asked me if I would like to see the package before leaving and was just over all hospitable and warm. Unfortunately the width of the curtains were too short on my window. So I came back the next day to return them.. This is where the trouble starts. The lady today was unwelcoming and stale. I stood there for a good 4 minutes while she scanned my items on two different computers, until she asked me how I paid. I told her I paid 37 on a debit card and 16 on gift card. She said ok. Than handed me a gift card and told me to type in the 10 or more digit number into the key pad and than swipe. I typed in the number and was about to swipe when I realized that she was trying to give me the full refund of 53 dollars on a JC Penny gift card! Which was very rude I think because I work in the hospitality department and you should always reassure or verify with the customer before making such a drastic.. And might I add (permanent) transaction. I had to ASK her "are you refunding me my full payment via gift card? And she just nonchalantly said yea with a slight attitude. Not even trying to educate me on why she was doing so. I had to continually ask her specific questions and she basically told me that since I did a split payment they would not give me back my money the original way I paid. It had to be refunded via gift card. I thought this ridiculous that there was no other way, so I asked to speak to the manager. This lady smirked and widened her eyes and with an attitude said "yes". Apparently she was the manager-_- she had no name tag or title stating that she was. I asked her AGAIN if there was any other way I could get a refund the original way I paid and I didn't care if I got the partial amount of 16.00 on gift card. She refused. So I proposed what if I return it via mail could I get my refund correctly than. She shrugged. and acted like she didn't want me to do that. So I left. And called JC Penny told them my situation (which they thought was odd) and sent me a return label. So we'll see how this goes. To be continued.. Moral of story. At the Fayette location JC Penny the African American lady with short hair in her 50's aka the "manager" was very rude and not informative what so ever. read more
