Did y'all know JCP is still open? I was bored so, I went walking around JCPenney. Here's what I found out. They are ready for summer! They have lots of new eye catching merch. The store is always clean and it's never packed. This retailer offers coupons too. They currently offer Forever 21 clothing as well. Unfortunately, they have one check out station for two levels. I have a wedding I am attending this weekend. I had gone Kohls down the freeway the other day and found NOTHING so I was a little defeated. But...I had 2 hours to kill so I thought I'd try penny's today. I will admit, I haven't been to Penny's in YEARS I bet. But boy has this place changed!! And for the better!! I was honestly floored when I left! I found mens summer T's on sale (for my Teen sons), a slew of options in the women's section, (Worthington and A.N.A brand for me fabulously), and I walked out with an entire outfit that didn't make me look dumpy for 1/3 of the price I was expecting!! I also grabbed more summer shorts on clearance. I was amazed at the selection, quality, options for even big/tall men(which I have 3 of in my house) and the prices....I mean wow! I was helped by the most informative associate as well. She wasn't wearing a name tag but she was at the mens section register by the door. Super nice! I will definitely be going back to Penny's very soon! Thank you for being Penny's again! It really does help to go to a store and actually find options that are cute and that are affordable and fit! read more

Made a purchase for drive up pick-up, the first issue is when it showed shipped and it was for pick up. I called the store and of course got some random person that said it wasn't their department and they put me on hold, they had to come back three times because the person that was supposed to handle the call wouldn't pick up. When I finally got the person that should be able to help I told her why I was calling and she was so put out and had a horrible attitude that she kept telling me to repeat the order number and never got more than the first 4 numbers I gave up and called the company customer service they were able to finally help and my order showed ready to pick up. I arrived at the store and checked in, but of course no one ever came out with the order I finally went inside to get it and the lady inside said they don't do those anymore. So of course I asked why it didn't say that on the site and why do they still have spot for it, she shrugged and never answered. Basically there's nothing left in the rest of the mall and the employees here act like JCP needs to be gone too. read more

The website is awful. Not user friendly. The store is slow as hell at the pickup counter.

This review is for the so called "salon" in Penney's.......it's a joke and a bad one at that. I called at 2:30 today, knowing I was taking a chance but hoping to get lucky and get my hair done......the extra special idiot that answered the phone told me that if I could get there by 3, I could get it done. After I hung up I realized this fool had not gotten my name but I didn't want to be late so I did not bother calling back, just jumped up and got myself together and left. I arrive at about five til 3....doing good (or so I thought) and I tell TwiddleDee at the front desk that I was told I could be seen if I got there by three, etc etc but the person I talked to forgot to get my name....she continues to scroll thru the computer looking for my appointment....uhm, duh are you listening? Nobody got my name. I won't be in the system. Light bulb over her head. She leaves and sends back TwiddleDum who is even more stupid that she is. Naturally I have to repeat the story all over again.....she has the nerve to ask if I'm sure I called the right Penny's.....yep since the brain dead dingbat who answered the phone said "JC Penney Ridgmar, can I help you?" I"m positive I am at the right place. She leaves again.....comes back and claims that nobody back there has told anyone they could come at 3. Ok now I'm getting pissed...I tell her just find out who was answering the phone at 2:30....she shrugs her shoulders with a stupid look on her face. Then she tells me to talk to her mgr......YET ANOTHER WASTE OF MY DAM TIME! Needless to say, I did NOT get my hair done. And the moral of the story is: don't waste your time dealing with the stupid, unprofessional ignorant azzholes in this place. They obviously let people wander in off the street and answer their phone and they have no clue what is going on in the "salon". read more

I've been a die heart Penny's shopper, but today I was every disappointed in them. I was shopping when I found a pretty good deal. I was in the clearance section cause that's how I roll start there then move around. I got my items, went to check out and the items rang up full price. So I told the lady that I got the items off the sales rack. So another lady went to check I tried to tell the lady where I got them from, she didn't seem to care. She came back and said that only the bottoms where on sale. There's no way that was true because the whole area was their sales part. You wonder way you're in the buying you're in. You're not posting true prices and not honoring what you signs say. Good Luck cause you're about to lose another loyal customer! read more

Rude employees, was ignored when I asked for help then the lady whom checked me out insulted me by saying I was too young for a jcpenny credit card once I told her "thanks but no thanks I have enough credit cards" she then insisted on making me sign for one right after insulting me lol what?? The Sephora inside of this location is awful. The customer service leaves much to be desired. I called ahead to make an appointment to get my makeup done. I was told that there was an event going on where I could get my eye makeup done. The sales person on the phone said just come up to the store and that I didn't need an appointment. When I got there the lady at the counter was rude and told me that I must have been mistaken. I had a special event that evening, that's why I called several hours before and she acted like I was ruining her day by asking. I will not be going back to this store, I will stick with the real Sephora locations. read more

DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!! If I could give 0 stars I would! I got a black Friday deal nov 28th 2017, they said it would be shipped nov 30th. wasn't shipped and received until AFTER the new year. week or so later the couch broke. Called for replacement. This jokers made me pay for ANOTHER couch and would refund me after the old one was picked up. So this took until end of March. Waited until end of april for the refund. never happened. Had to call daily until may 23rd got someone to refund it. called today 6/6/18 because it was way past the 3-5 days the refund should have showed up. It wasn't processed like I was told. AND to top it off they aren't reimbursing me for the interest I had on my card when I a)shouldn't have had to pay for the second couch and b) they are not timely at all. The customer service employees were always rude and hasty and testy with me. They were anything but helpful. I will be telling anyone and everyone to never purchase anything from them again. its no wonder their stores are closing left and right. read more

Finally found some curtains for the house. They have a wide selection to choose from made it very hard to decide. The clerk was very helpful but had some computer problems. Needed to order a longer size curtain which they don't carry much in 95". read more

I'm not usually a fan of JCPenney, but this is my favorite BY FAR! The first JCPenney I went to was at Stonebriar, and that one was horrible! But the one here in Ridgmar, it's amazing! The Sephora is big, and the staff are very kind and sweet. The home section is also H U G E, and it's very clean! The only problem I have is that the clothing section is pretty limited to a few, but I only go for the Sephora! Overall, this JCPenney is very clean and the staff are very respectable and they are too kind! read more

When the finally opened the doors at 10:05 we went straight to the little girls room and it was DISGUSTING!!

Very great service. Home department very clean. Very nice and handsome cashier! Such a sweet young man. The tall one with the beard. Kids department is very messy. The Asian girl in casuals is very nice and very helpful. No complaints minus the kids department. read more

I saw on-line JCP had a sale on glasses, and I went by there to check things out. The manager, Kelly waited on me. I said I was wanting to check on the 2 for 99 special. she showed me 2 or 3 frames that qualify for that sale. I asked her if there are more frames that were under $100, and she said no. So I looked at the frames she showed me and did not like any of them. There were only 3 frames that fall under $100. Subsequently, after a while, she finally went to a drawer and took out a couple of more frames, which she advised were under $100. I wanted reg. frames and sunglasses. On the one sunglasses she showed me she insisted they looked good on me, but I did not like them. She had others but they were higher in price. Then another employee said that she has another pair to show me and that I will like them. After trying those on, I really liked them. I told them that I want those pair, and I remember they were a little oval with sparkling jewels on the front corners. Also, the frame appears to be of exceptional quality and well-built. So I purchased those sunglasses with a pair of regular glasses. When I went back one week later to pick up my glasses, I noticed that the sunglasses did not look and feel right. The build quality was rather shoddy and flimsy. They were obviously not the ones I had picked out at the initial visit. It was more square and not of oval shape. Additionally, the distinctive jewels were not present on the sunglasses I picked up. It did not take me long after getting home to realize that the pair of sunglasses I got are the same ones in which the sales lady, Kelly, had been trying to push onto me at the initial visit, which I did not like. I called the store and spoke with Kelly, who insisted that they sold me the same sunglasses that I had picked out. Not so!! She went on to suggest that I could come back to the store and they will make corrections, but that I will have to pay more out of pocket if it requires. It was my first experience with JCP optical, and I must say that it was rather disappointing. I feel like I was cheated - bait and switch. I certainly do not recommend this business. read more
