When my kids were young we shopped a lot at JC Penny's in Omaha & Bellevue, most of them now closed. My wife wanted to buy me some Docker's pants for Christmas and we decided to try this JC Penny's. Since it is in Town Center, parking was definitely not a problem. We were greeted at the entry and given "surprise" discount cards. They had a good selection of Docker's and we found what we wanted at a great price. When walking around we found some great discounts on Hagar pants, flannel shirts, and cold weather jackets so they went into the shopping basket as well. Checkout was fast, efficient and friendly. The clerk ran us up in two separate purchases so we could use both discount cards. And the final price was a LOT cheaper than I expected. The store definitely had some great holiday discounts. JC Penny's has gotten a bad reputation over the years so I was somewhat reluctant to shop there. But we had a great experience since on this visit we received friendly service from every employee we encountered, good selection of the things we wanted, and nice discounts. I was going to give it 4 stars, but as I wrote this review I realized we had a 5 star visit so changed my overall rating. read more

The Penney has finally dropped. Oh wait no it's still open. This is located at the massive Mall in Papillion which is a big outdoor strip mall but a huge one that covers the same area as some towns do. All the people from the region come and shop down here, and so they have a massive JCPenney with a lot of stuff in it. You can tell they are trying to remain as relevant as possible by having these stand alone stores and strip malls because a lot of Mall department stores are losing popularity. Due to this you can now find a Sephora makeup store inside JCPenney. Honestly their clothes are better priced than most department stores especially Macy's but in general they are very plain-looking and not nearly scandalous enough for Barbie to buy or to dress me in for that matter. read more

There is a reason why the staple stores... Sears, Wards, Brandeis, and Woolworth are no longer around. All one has to do is walk into Penny's and what is missing...customer service...quality merchandise and employees who wanted to work in retail. I went into Penny's to make a purchase... no one was around to direct me to the item I was looking for....so wore out some leather to find it... when I did... you got it... no one was around to offer assistance. I had a coupon, a 10 dollar one. As I went to the front, I was told the coupon was only worth 3 dollars. I did not purchase the product. The moral of this story is today's retail business's have lost their focus... the blame for their stores closing is how divergent they have become from the building blocks that made them great. read more

The experience here for order pickup is always beyond awful. They never have enough staff back there and refuse to call any additional help. You could wait forever and they just don't care. And just forget drive-up because they will never come out! read more

I love this penny's, but their photo studio really does nothing for brand. We took photos of my boys, and the photos turned out great but the experience wasn't he best. The photographer was just doing this on the side, you can never reach anyone and they are clearly understaffed. read more

I have been a customer of JC Penney for 50 years. My mother was also an avid customer. Today I went in this location to purchase some dress shoes for my grand-daughters. My 2 daughters, 2 grand-daughters, husband and future son-in- law in tow. This place is a ghost town. Gone are the days of the bustling store, friendly helpful staff. The shoe department was unmanned. The store was literally vacant. When we arrived at the front there was 3 people at the checkout. I had the unfortunate opportunity to be waited on by a woman named Jackie. She asked for my method of payment and I told her a credit card. She asked if I wanted to use my JC Penney card I told her no. I told her there was a 15 percent coupon on line and I proceeded to look for it on my phone. She then stated she had it and proceeded to lecture me in a very condescending manor on getting the app for JCPenney. She went as far as telling me to go to the App Store to get the app. I may have gray hair and be a senior citizen but I am not senile. I just made Jackie look up the 15 percent coupon and give it to without me having to look it up or get your app. I am a college educated person and predict with that kind of employee your chances of survival in the retail world are not favorable. It took me 6 months to come back into this store from my last visit. Probably won't shop her again, ever! read more

JCPenney is the place to go for no-iron dress shirts at a reasonable price. The staff is always friendly and extremely helpful. Although the Papillion location isn't as well stocked as Oakview mall, I usually can find what I am looking for in a reasonable amount of time. In and out is how I like it......! read more
