In-house framing service and above is a professional photo studio. There's a smattering of antique and flea market type items sold here with prices definitely on the higher side of things, but still a good variety of items. Notable collection of vintage children's clothing (especially dresses and coats). Tiny selection of gourmet food and drink up front, which was probably the most impressive part of the stop for me. This is to the right on entry, and included a range of nicer cheeses and a pretty good mix of Fentiman's beverages. I'd probably rate this store higher but I overheard the man working there asking other shoppers where they came from -- and then talking negatively about their towns in this region. That is a huge *no* in my book and was the main reason I cut my visit short. Still, this is probably a great place to check out for some of the finer things in life if you live in southeast Kansas.

Instead, they are 3 blocks down on the same side of Broadway, in the former "Jean Scene" store. Look for the red awning. Anyway, with that said...I have always liked shopping at Doggie Bag for their low prices and overall higher quality of merchandise, especially regarding women's clothing. The new store is awesome, it is much cleaner and smells nicer and the prices are still low. Kudos to them! The store is really nice and I will probably shop here even more than I did in the past. I am not in possession of full details but I know Doggie Bag operates in support of the Southeast Kansas Humane Society and is a huge source of their funding. I am glad to patronize this business!

I can't help but wonder if they are under different management than in the past. The number of items on offer seems smaller and smaller with every visit and prices are steady but the categories they sell here seem to be dwindling. This is still a must-see spot for thrift shoppers in Pittsburg, but my previous 5 star review is not reflective of the current state of the store especially with less convenient hours of operation.

The stock rotates out with the seasons so there is always something new to find and their items will not be found elsewhere. The owners are always friendly and remember us from each time we are back up from out of state which is a nice little factor that shows they care about their customers. The prices are always great along with the alumni and student discounts that are offered along with the sale items. Every clothing item from t-shirts, polos, and jackets that we have bought still looks like new with regular wear after several years.
