I do most of my JCP shopping online. This time I had a return, which doesn't happen often. What a joy that they've moved the return counter to the front of the store. Much easier than walking through numerous departments (of little interest to my trip to JCP). Thank you JCP!!! Plus....the clerk was excellent. She did a great job helping the customer at the counter, as the wait time was extending. No problem for me or the 2 customers in front of me. Just so nice to see employees being helpful to a customer and announcing to the people in line, she'd be with them shortly. That's customer service. :) read more

I'd heard that one of the designers from Project Runway had put a line out of Ready to Wear for plus sized women at JCP and I wanted to see what they had. Indeed! They were carrying ms. Ashley's line and I found it right up front in the section I was looking for. The store was organzied well, and i was able to quickly buy what I was looking for. read more

Last Thursday I had an appointment with Steven Jon to color and cut my hair . This man is amazing , I came in the salon looking like a wreck . Steven Jon fixed my hair beautifully. Mary, one of the supervisors there is the rudest person I've ever met. I heard her raising her voice and degrading employees and customers on my visit to the store on 3/19. Absolutely appalling behavior. I feel like they let anyone be a supervisor at that store. I expected more from JCPenney but honestly they're no different then Walmart . Please shop elseware and don't support the abuse they put there employees through. read more

This JCP is legit. Whoever the manager is, they should be promoted to corporate level. Every time I come to Spring Hill, I visit this store. Why? Because it's extremely clean and well organized, it's huge, and it has a Sephora in the middle. It also has a coffee sanctuary/temple/altar in the back, in the home section, filled with Keurig products, Bodum products, and other coffee needs. Whether you call it Penny's JCPENNY's or JCP as their newer branding is suggesting, This is a store most of us remember from childhood. I loved their marketing program with Ellen Degeneres, but I am a huge Ellen fan anyway. Hadn't been there for years, and I had some time to kill, and wanted to look for an outfit to wear to a business meeting, so I thought I would go back to my roots. I'm usually a Ross shopper and discounts galore. Poppin Tags and clearance racks are my specialty. When I walked in to my local Penny's here, I was so impressed! Not only did I feel like I was in a high end store, the clothes were awesome and the prices were great. I went through the clearance racks and didn't have any luck there, but of course the dress on the anorexic manican made me think I needed what she had on. I took it to the dressing room, fit like a glove. Just in a much larger size than the manicans. I asked her what her diet tips were but she wouldn't say. So closed mouth, but that's ok. She didn't know me. Maybe I got too personal on the first date. Women are funny about asking about their weight, I know! The Store was beautiful, organized, and the staff was very helpful. The check out lady even told me about current sales I might have missed and I wanted to run my fastest sprint back to the racks, but spared the line behind me and her time in waiting for my order, and settled on the dress. I love it! It doesn't need dry cleaning and I feel like a rock star when I wear it. If you were like me and haven't tried JC Pennys, JCPENNY, JCP in years, I highly suggest you go in! They have high end cosmetic department, salon services and a helpful friendly staff. I love it when a company invests in training and support and revamping their design with the consumer in mind. Beware this local store customer service after the sale is horrible. $1500.00 for a washer and dryer. Chris in appliances transcribed our phone number wrong even though we verified it in the store. Therefore the delivery was a mess I talked to 4 people in the store to fix things but no help was found. The manager was on vacation. We will not be back to JC Penny's. read more
