I love this JCPenney! Very friendly staff and especially Karmen! This store has a good selection of items and I love to come and browse!

The chatty sales personnel in the fine jewelry area are only concerned with themselves. They totally ignored me at the counter so I walked to side of the counter in front of them and it never made a difference. All I could say was wow, so I purchased my remaining items at the cashier at the far end of the store and left! Sorry Southland Store, but some things should be addressed. read more

I'm not a long-term JCPenney customer. It just is not one of the stores that I would regularly visit. I have purchased several hundred dollars worth of clothes there, however, over the last few years. Every time that I've been in there, all of the staff has been very helpful and engaging and knowledgeable about the clothes and any special deals going on. I will keep shopping here, and planning to visit there today to hopefully get something for my sister for her birthday. read more

Did some Christmas shopping here and found a nice shirt that I wanted to purchase for a family member. They didn't have the size needed on the rack. I found some help after searching around and was told "we probably have it, but it hasn't come off the truck yet." This did me no good. When I made a purchase of a different item, the cashier was not super friendly at all. Seemed kind of frustrated with having to work. The store was however fairly clean and well organized. read more

Well Black Friday all jewelry and watch and electronics register's can only check u out if the item you are buying are in there department so I tried to buy kitchen Package And I ask if could pay the clothes too that I had. And they said I would have go in the other lines after paying for a very expensive kitchen set . That other line wrap around 4 Isles. so I said for get the kitchen package and that I think I should get special treatment. I just that any Register in my store would be open to any customer that there shopping experience is good. I counted they have 8 registers throughout the store and that are closed. I noticed this JC Penny doesn't have a review for their salon...so here's mine! LOVED IT!!!! I had Deborah as my stylist and it was a fun couple of hours :) she's very personable and hilarious!!! I hate when you're having your hair done and the stylist is extremely quiet...makes it awkward! I know some people enjoy that but I enjoy a conversation! I'm new to Michigan and she gave me great & useful tips on Michigan. Now for her work...GREAT!!! she did exactly what I asked for...she's very detailed and I love the cut, color and the entire experience! I like Jcpenny, glad to see they're offering coupons again. I kinda was like what when they tried to restructure themselves and eliminated coupons.. I think it hurt the company...that being said seems like the company is back on track and competive with other similar retailers. This particular location is okay they are often not as stocked as other Jcps. I like that there is a Sephora at this location. Love me some Sephora. All in all decent place was very busy today could have used some extra cashiers. read more

I recently was looking for some Dockers signature stretch Slim men's pants and Levi's 505 jeans in black color for my husband to replaced his old pairs, non of them I could find at other web site, all the sudden I decide to log in to my JCPenny account which I have not use for few years, I want to say, That must be my super lucky day, not only I catches good price deal I was also able to found exactly the styles and the size for him, so I quickly submitted my ordered and I want to say all the items were came in a timely manner with nice quality too. read more

OK, I thought I did not like JCPenney. I stopped shopping here long ago as I thought the clothing was outdated. Boy, was I wrong. I got a coupon in the mail for $10 off anything, so I stopped in to check out the clearance racks. Scored a TON of deals on summer clothing. Skirts for $3, dresses for $4. It was crazy amazing deals. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and checkout was quick even though the store was slammed. Loved this place. read more

I dont mind the new hours but they need to update their website at the taylor, MI store.. it shows that they are open right now and its 11:30am.. I'll wait but would have been nice to know this change instead of putting the new hours off to the side of the doors.. why not POST IT ON THE DOOR ITSELF !! so people can see it and MAKE IT BIGGER!! you literally have to get out of your car to read the hours!! other than that i like this store!! read more

JC Penny's is the worst store I have ever had the misfortune to go in. My daughter was visiting, so we went into Franklin Park Mall. We had a really great day, then we went into JC Penny's. I don't know how they are still open. There was no one in at all that we could see. The staff we saw looked disinterested. My daughter wanted to look at a handbag that was chained, we were stood there for about 10 minutes, so I looked around for a member of staff to assist. I found one, who promptly told me I'd have to wait for the person who works that spot to come back from wherever she was. We left. Absolutely the worse service ever, rude staff, lacklustre store. I like this JCPenney at the Southland Mall. This store is still busy around the holidays but the employees will go out of their way to help you out. At least in the men's department. My only gripe as that often I end up shopping on-line instead of in the store because they have more choices. If you buy on-line they will always ship to the store for free and receiving your item as any register is pretty easy but I just wished the store was larger and carried more items. Another nice thing about a smaller store and mall, is that this location does not have the crazy customers yet. read more

They are so helpful and nice at this JC Penny. I won't shop at any other one. All of the sales associates are so sweet and if they're having a bad day you would never know it! The store is also really clean and they have a pretty big clearance section. Bonus they usually have at least a 20% off coupon! read more

I've never really had a problem with J.C. Penny. I shop there a lot and I like the selection of clothing they carry. However, I probably won't be shopping there again, at least at this location. I went there with my wife in search of maternity clothes. She is six months pregnant and it is surprisingly hard to find decent clothes for her. It was actually my idea to check out J.C. Penny. It seems like something they might carry. My wife asked the first sales person she could find if they carry maternity clothes. This young woman practically snapped at her. "No, we don't do that here!" Like she was some kind of idiot for asking. She's obviously pregnant and she asked in a very nice manner. My wife wasn't being rude or annoying. What kind of a person, especially a woman, would treat a pregnant lady like that? This is J.C. Penny, it's not some fancy boutique store. Even if it was, there is no reason to behave like that. No wonder why they are failing, if this is the kind of employees that work there. read more
