He went into the attic an liked around, then the heater cycled. I said "that's the sound I was telling you about." He poke at several spots and the sound stopped. It was air being blown out of a leak between the furnace and duct. He drove a screw in and it was fixed. An honest man, so refreshing to not get taken to the cleaners. A year ago Van Dyck techs installed a water filter system for our church. At that time, I was very…read moresatisfied with work but it was pricey. Almost one year later we had a flood in the hallway with water coming from the filter system that Van Dyck installed. The filter system had fell off the wall due to the system was screwed into the wall with no anchors, just inch and a half screws in the sheet rock. The weight of the filter system caused the filter caps to Crack flooding the mechanical room, entryway and hallway. Van Dyke came out and replaced system and charged the church 580.00. I called and spoke to someone named Derrick and told him this was shoddy work and that the church should should not have pay. He said he would investigate. I received an invoice and was told it had to be paid now. Call a second time and still waiting to hear from Derrick. If they can treat a church this way, I know others can expect the same treatment. Called McKenna who sent tech out who spent 10 minutes to discover a small hose was rubbing against a pressure switch which he simply moved. I was charged a $79 fee because it was "out of warranty" which granted it was by 4 months but it is also a brand new system I spent over 7k on and this type of fault shouldn't be occurring. After speaking with the office manager she said they would review my case and call me back with a decision. Today the fee was processed with no call and I am disappointed because it seems to be more about the money than common sense or good customer service.

Normally, we're the kind of people who try to fix most of our problems on our own before calling someone, but my husband was out of town for a business trip all week, and I didn't feel comfortable trying to diagnose things on my own. I knew I couldn't wait 6 days without AC. So I started doing research. The first guy I called gave me a long list of things that probably needed to be replaced, and gave me a quote of around $400. I gave him my concerns about him diagnosing the AC unit over the phone without even looking at it. He became very rude and told me he could give me an in person quote on Wednesday. I told him to make me an appointment for Wednesday and decided to keep looking around for other options. I'm pretty sure I called at least 15 other places. Several of them quoted me around the same price, or couldn't make it to look at the unit until several days later. I actually ended up finding Climate Care on complete accident while I was looking for a phone number to another place, and I truly believe that God was on my side that day. I was extremely annoyed by the time I called, and I know that was definitely heard over the phone but they were friendly with me the entire time, and he told me he could come look at my unit that day, within the next hour and a half if I was available and give me a quote based on what they found. My prayers had been answered. Brian (I think?) showed up when he was supposed to, and immediately started looking at my unit. Within 15 minutes, he had a diagnosis ready. When he came back he explained the problem to me in simple and matter-of-fact kind of way. I run into service guys all the time (especially in auto shops) who think that because you're a woman you just won't understand the situation, or you don't know what you're really looking for. I did not feel that way at all talking to the guy, and it was a serious breath of fresh air. I was more than prepared for him to tell me that I needed to replace this long list of parts and it was going to cost me over $400. He told me I only needed to replace one part, quoted me around $80 and had the problem fixed for me around 2 hours later. He even took a little bit of extra time to clean up around and inside the unit (at no extra cost to me). I was very pleased with my service and I'm convinced that my AC is working better now than it ever did. I will definitely call them first with any issue I have in the future. TLDR: Was quoted $400 and several days wait to get started on the work for the first company I called. I found Climate Care on accident, and have never been so well taken care of. They were extremely nice, and looked at my unit that day and gave me a quote of around $80. They went above and beyond to make sure my unit was working properly and even cleaned around and inside the unit to make sure that the AC was working 100%.
