She was able to get it back to where she was staying that week. I drove out the following day and was able to identify that the radiator had cracked. it was about 10:30am on Friday. I called around to several shops and most were willing to do the work, but couldn't get it done until Saturday or maybe even Monday. This was not ideal. All that changed when I called Don Perry's Garage. I was talking to Donny and he said he could probably get it done that day. I told him I was just passing through and he said he'd definitely get it done that day. He said "cmon down and we'll get you fixed up. I'll pick us up some lunch and you can hangout here till it's done." This is 100% true! So I headed on down and spent the afternoon with Donny and Kelly. We ate lunch together and chatted for a few hours. Hanging out there I got a real behind the scenes look at how they run their business. How they communicated with their customers on the phone or in person was all top shelf. The transparency they shared with their customers is like nothing I've seen in this business. If they made a mistake, they owned up to it. If they could get a better price on a part, they would and then would pass the savings on to the customer. I've got to also give a shoutout to their senior tech James. He's been there over 30 years and knows his stuff! There's a reason they have been in business as long as they have! The reality is, I probably will never need their service again. Our paths may never cross again. First On is my goto place for vehicle repairs. I don't know who decided my vehicle's battery should…read morebe placed in the fender well, but that is a nightmare for a car owner. Trexal and the guys at First On got me a new battery and installed it for a little more than I would have paid off I bought it and went through the hassle myself. This is the 3rd time I have had to come and bring a vehicle for service in the past 2 months. The first time I had some sensors replaced. The second time I had to have a power steering pump and an automatic door fixed. This last time was the battery on my other car. Nobody likes to spend money on car repairs, but it's nice to know when you spend your money you are getting what you pay for, and you aren't being added services you don't need.
