This issue had actually been lingering for a long time, I had at least four or five other companies came to diagnose the noise issue, each offering different quick opinions--some barely inspected it and suggested immediate part replacements, others insisted the fridge needed to be pulled out (which is a big job for a built-in unit) and fix from the back of the fridge. But none felt confident, they all rushed to conclusions without a proper diagnosis. Vadym stood out by taking the time. He thoroughly examined the fridge and, when the issue persisted, he consulted his network instead of guessing. Eventually, he figured out the noise was caused by the condenser pipe and water pipe being too close, which caused vibration when the compressor kicked in. In the end, he fixed it. What I truly appreciated was his commitment, he didn't rush to a quick guess; he invested time, asked for input, and returned until it was resolved. At the bottom of the freezer, the water becomes ice, but then there is no space left so water was slowly dripping out of the freezer and onto the floor. Emil coordinated a time with me via phone and came within a week of my initial outreach. His quote was also so reasonable (I was worried because a neighbor said she had the same problem and it was so expensive to repair the clogged drain in the fridge that they had to buy a whole new fridge!). When he came, Emil put on shoe covers then went about repairing the drain clog, and he also helped me figure out the extra condensation in the fridge. They spend the extra time to diagnose the real issue and to suggest repairs that are reasonable. There's no gouging and no "it's 3 years old, just replace it, it's only $400" like some vendors. Replacing appliances comes with the extra cost in measuring, ordering, waiting, shipping, disposal of the old appliance, and the install of the new appliance. In my experience, the newer the appliance is, the less life span it will have so if they can repair my 4 year old GE dishwasher, I'd prefer that vs just dumping it in a landfill and starting over. They have helped us with refrigerators, washing machines, dishwashers, ice makers and more. They are reliable, on time, and great communicators. You wont' be disappointed. And don't worry, if your appliance truly is on it's last leg and repairs don't make financial sense, they won't just try to sell you parts and labor. What bothered me most was that when I questioned them, their explanation kept changing. First it was the compressor, then an "open line," then a high-voltage breaker issue. That is not a diagnosis I can trust, or a diagnosis based in true process of elimination testing to arrive at the core issue. I've been running a restaurant for nearly 20 years, and I've seen this pattern many times before: jump straight to the most expensive repair. In my experience, this felt like either incompetence or an attempt to oversell a job that wasn't needed. I will never use them again, and I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before approving any HVAC work from Next HVAC.

Even though the circuit board for our machine was no longer in production and no longer in stock at the manufacturer they were able to find me a direct replacement board to complete the repair. So I immediately called Atlas and scheduled a service visit. I didn't have high hopes as this heater is old, like from the 1980s. I figured I was looking at several thousands to relaxed it. The technician arrived on time, was able to determine that the motor for the blower had died (RIP little motor you served well). He was able to order some parts and installed a new motor with some upgraded electrical. I was so surprised and grateful! It took a few days for the parts to arrive and thankfully my tenant had other ways of keeping warm because it has been frigid around here lately by Bay Area standards. the furnace now turns on immediately and the house is toasty warm in a few minutes. The tenant sent photos of the repair and I was super impressed. I am a big fan of repair/ reuse/ reuse/ recycle and not having to fork out thousands for a new heater was definitely a plus. He came on time, on a Sunday due to an urgent request on Saturday, and he was able to give a diagnosis immediately (washer not draining due to sand clogged it , dryer not turning due to turning bell broken) and gave an estimate, and repaired them on the spot upon request with a reasonable price for the work. He even helped my parents look at their stove that is giving in. Washer Dryer combo, and one day, the washer would not start up anymore. We gave the folks at Parkside a call, and they came out the next day on time to evaluate the issue. It turned out that the circuit board was no good anymore. Even though the circuit board for our machine was no longer in production and no longer in stock at the manufacturer they were able to find me a direct replacement board to complete the repair. Way to go! Its been a few years now since this repair, but our washer/dryer has been happy again ever since! Update: We just called them up for a repair for a gas stove, and since they don't repair gas stoves (only electric ones and most all kinds of washer/dryers), they referred me to another trusted company for that. Verdict: Great folks all. It is so refreshing to have such nice folks out there like Parkside Appliance to help us solve our once-in-a-blue-moon appliance repairs! Highly Recommended!

He was unfriendly and not informative. He ordered the part and it took a couple more days to arrive than if I had ordered the same part via Amazon. On the second visit, the same technician explained that he had misdiagnosed the problem with our dishwasher and now claimed that a piece in the electronic circuit was the problem. However, he said it was too expensive and that we should order a new dishwasher and he declined to give me the part number for the circuit board so that I could investigate and order the part myself. And he continued to be gruff and unpleasant in manner. When I texted the technician for the part number the next day, he never responded. I did not trust that the technician had accurately diagnosed the problem on both occasions. When we had another technician from a different company examine the same dishwasher a few days later, he made a different diagnosis that did not match either diagnosis made by the City Appliance Repair technician.

They spend the extra time to diagnose the real issue and to suggest repairs that are reasonable. There's no gouging and no "it's 3 years old, just replace it, it's only $400" like some vendors. Replacing appliances comes with the extra cost in measuring, ordering, waiting, shipping, disposal of the old appliance, and the install of the new appliance. In my experience, the newer the appliance is, the less life span it will have so if they can repair my 4 year old GE dishwasher, I'd prefer that vs just dumping it in a landfill and starting over. They have helped us with refrigerators, washing machines, dishwashers, ice makers and more. They are reliable, on time, and great communicators. You wont' be disappointed. And don't worry, if your appliance truly is on it's last leg and repairs don't make financial sense, they won't just try to sell you parts and labor.
