I was also asked to confirm with my previous dentist when I had my last set of full X-rays so they could run the information through insurance prior to my appointment and confirm what would be covered. I emailed the information to the address they provided the same day it was requested, but I never heard anything back afterward. When I arrived, I was asked if I had completed my forms online. I explained that I had not received anything or heard from the office since making the appointment over the phone. It wasn't a big deal, as they provided the forms for me to complete, but it did take about 5-10 minutes and I would have been happy to complete them beforehand if I had received them. Once I finished the paperwork, it was only a few minutes before I was called back. I went in the morning, and everything seemed to be running on time. Anthony was the RDH who did my X-rays and cleaning, and he was wonderful! He was so kind and patient and did a great job of explaining what he was doing throughout the visit. He was also very gentle during the cleaning. That's usually the worst part of dental visits for me, but he was so gentle that it was honestly not an unpleasant experience at all, which has not always been the case at other dental offices. I also met the dentist, Dr. D., who was very nice. He took his time looking through my images and didn't make me feel rushed. They also have technology that scans a digital mold of your teeth, which I thought was pretty cool. The office is surprisingly large. You wouldn't expect it to be from the outside since it's located in a plaza, but they have eight rooms plus additional rooms for their staff spaces. Everything was clean, and the staff seemed to communicate well with one another. It sounded like they may use a walkie-talkie type of system, as they communicated when the dentist was ready to come to my room and when I was ready to check out at the front. Overall, I had a really nice experience and am happy to have found this office. My husband actually found them first, and I'm glad I decided to give them a try. I plan to continue coming here!

She diagnosed the root cause of the pain, suggested two courses of treatment. I appreciate her straightforward explanation of the pros and cons of each approach. She recommended the less expensive path, a root canal and crown. She was able to perform the procedure the same day, ending the pain. Surprisingly, the permanent crown was available in the shortest time I have ever experienced compared to other dental practices and my installation appointment was moved forward. The permanent crown fits perfectly and the process was as pain free as possible. The support staff are also very professional and pleasant. I cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Matamoros and her team. I will definitely utilize Dr. Matamoros and her team in the future.

I was only moved to the chair after I asked for a clinical evaluation. Dr. Cabanillas briefly reviewed the X-rays I brought and immediately recommended removing most of my teeth and placing full-arch prosthetics for a flat $100,000. No clinical examination, functional assessment, occlusal evaluation, or diagnostic work-up was performed before presenting this plan. When I asked for a diagnostic model to be made, something that is typically a part of prosthodontic planning, I was told, "I don't do models. You need to find another provider.?" I left with no detailed evaluation, no individualized treatment plan, and no explanation of alternative options. This was not the prosthodontic consultation I expected.

To clarify the issue, I contacted Cigna directly from the office. A Cigna representative confirmed that both my husband and I have active dental insurance and offered to fax all required information. The receptionist spoke with the agent and received the fax. Despite this confirmation and the office error, we were told that we could not be seen that day and would need to reschedule, even though it was still within my husband's appointment time, the hygienist appeared to be available, and there were no other patients waiting. While the receptionist was entering our insurance information into the system, Dr. Vera Krupnov came out and rudely informed us that she did not want us in her office at all. No explanation was provided, and no effort was made to review or discuss what had occurred. The experience was extremely upsetting. We left feeling shaken, distressed, and humiliated.
