The office is super clean and modern, it had a sorta calming effect on my mind. I was surprised at how courteous and professional everyone was from the front desk to the dental hygenist. The hygenist did a complete exam on the debutante which included the "deep pocket" exam on the gums. After speaking with the hygenist and the dentist Angela Berkovich, I decided to unbelievably schedule a teeth cleaning and general dental exam for myself. I was only moved to the chair after I asked for a clinical evaluation. Dr. Cabanillas briefly reviewed the X-rays I brought and immediately recommended removing most of my teeth and placing full-arch prosthetics for a flat $100,000. No clinical examination, functional assessment, occlusal evaluation, or diagnostic work-up was performed before presenting this plan. When I asked for a diagnostic model to be made, something that is typically a part of prosthodontic planning, I was told, "I don't do models. You need to find another provider.?" I left with no detailed evaluation, no individualized treatment plan, and no explanation of alternative options. This was not the prosthodontic consultation I expected.

My dental hygienist, Michelle, is super awesome. She tells you how it is, but in a friendly way, not a scolding way. She tells you what you need to work on to improve your gum health and she is very knowledgeable. I plan on keeping this office as my dentist. I dont want to say I look forward to going back because really no one loves to go to the dentist, but I dont mind as much because of the staff and Dr Pascal.

I asked for Nitrogen as I don't like needles, I sat in the chair for a long time before DR. Sanchez came in. I asked why I am waiting so long. No response. He left again and I followed him. He works on a couple of patients at the same time. Finally, when he got to me, he told the nurse to put on the Nitrogen and told me open wide, and he Jammed a huge needle and hurt mw really bad. My insurance also paid them, and I was told by my insurance to only pay $105.00. I brought this to their attention and was told No Refund and want me to pay another $12.00. If you value your health Don't go to them. I have reported this to the AMA and Retained a Lawyer.

Her response was "yeah, we still show a balance of $66..." so I told her to write it off & I'm going to file a complaint with the CFPB, review on Yelp, etc. Her reply was "that's fine...". Not sure if they're having financial issues or what but to harass a former patient 7 years later is crazy. The thing I disliked most about going to the dentist has always been trying to get me numb. First, I hated getting the needle in my gums and secondly I hated the fact that previous dentists caused me pain. Doctor Sharon Pearson is absolutely a skilled medical professional and between the office staff and the doctor herself I felt immediately at ease with my decision to try this dentist's office that I happened upon while having a haircut next door. The work that Dr. Pearson had to do was extensive and took quite a few months to complete, but I never feared going to the office for my appointments. The price was fair and manageable and the work was impeccable. Now let me get back to my opening line stating that it's the little things that make the biggest difference. Dr. Pearson uses a little vibrating gizmo on your gums prior to introducing the needle into the gums. I don't know if it's just that the vibration distracts the mind from the pain of the injection, but whatever it is it works! I really can't express how much I appreciate Stirling Palm family dentistry, but if you're looking for a dentist I highly recommend this practice.
