In doing so, they caught the siding on fire which went though the attic and down the interior walls. The contractor denied that they caused the fire even though both fire marshal and county fire investigators report says it's his fault. His words were "sue me".

He let me know of a void under the slab at one place that he was able to fill. And he did a great job of drilling in the grout between tiles so the tiles in the entry didn't chip. Brandon came along behind him and leveled off where the mixture came up through the holes, and dusted away concrete residue. The only reason I gave them 4 stars and not 5 is because they were late due to a meeting at headquarters that ran overtime, and when they hit my mailbox on the way out they didn't come back to tell me. But their work is 5-star.

They did not want to allow me to think about it or discuss it with anyone, but did call some finance company to "help" me get a loan. I am still getting their calls. This is a franchise whose goal is to get your money. After getting engineers' reports and 6 other quotes, I found a reputable company and the work was done at less than half the quote of Groundworks. Save your money and use a local company, and ALWAYS get an engineer's report first.

I immediately scheduled a time for Ryan (the owner) to come out and do an inspection for foundation repair. He did a thorough investigation and got back to me with an estimate and an explanation of all the issues that he saw. The issues were pretty extensive and it was going to involve lifting the house. Although I was nervous about the situation Ryan did alleviate a lot of my fears. From day one when the crew showed up until the last day when they finished, they were nothing but professional, respectful, knowledgeable, conscientious, well prepared, and prompt. When they left our house there was absolutely no trace that they were even here. They left everything exactly like they found it when they first arrived. I didn't get to know everyone by their name, but they were all five star, top-notch, and great quality workers. Isaac Brewer was the lead and he was inside the house a lot so I got to know him pretty well. I could tell that he took pride in his work and really cared about his customers. He and the entire crew represented WC Foundation Experts in such a way that they deserve nothing but five stars. The previous owner had warned me about it, but didn't know how it could be fixed. Doug and Loren came out, took careful measurements and came up with a plan which preserved the trees, which were near the house. They put in a French drain with a removable grate on the concrete patio as well as 6 separate drains leading from the house. Doug and Loren also gave me advice about how a guttering system could lead into the drains.The crew worked rapidly and took only two days from start to finish. Now my house is actually dry around the base, something which I didn't think was possible. They did a great job and at a very reasonable price. Yeah to Doug & Loren! PS They also won one of the top landscaping awards in the area.

We had a very disappointing experience with S&G Carpet…read more The initial installation was extremely poor, staples and nails and screws were left exposed on the carpet and also thrown on the floor (a safety hazard, especially with small children), debris wasn't cleaned up, and there was even a spill that was not disclosed until we pointed it out. The carpet also had to be redone due to workmanship issues, requiring multiple return visits and extending what should have been a straightforward project into several days. (Install was Monday and was finally properly completed on Thursday) While the company eventually sent a different installer to correct the work (2 more times), the process to get there was frustrating. Communication from management was argumentative and combative at times, to the point that I did not feel comfortable meeting alone and asked my husband to be present. The tone of the interaction was noticeably different in person. We ultimately reached a resolution, but it took far more effort than it should have. After spending nearly $8,000, the level of workmanship, professionalism, and overall experience simply did not reflect the value we were promised. I would strongly recommend closely monitoring any work done and documenting everything if you choose to use this company.
