When my daughter turned 2, I knew right away that I wanted to start her in dance class. Not only would it be great for socializing but also a fun and structured activity. I came across JDI thru Yelp and recommendations from other moms. After going on their website and doing major research on reviews, we decided to enroll her in pre baby ballet. We were previously enrolled for Monday classes and loved Miss Mimi. However; when my work schedule changed we had to move her to Saturdays with Miss Caitlin. The first few classes were a little rough as there were huge gaps in between class times due to the holidays. Miss Caitlin divides her attention very well and it's a huge plus to have an assistant in the class with her. Fast forward to a few months later; now my daughter absolutely loves her class!! She looks forward to her dance class and has showed much improvement. She's no longer a shy and timid 2 year old! The tuition for classes, costumes and recitals are all very reasonable. The studio is very welcoming and staff are all very friendly. Parking is slightly challenging at times but as long as you get there a little early, it's usually not an issue. I am so impressed with everything JDI has to offer our kids. My daughter is three and participating in ballet and watching her confidence and social skills grow has been wonderful. She participated in her first recital last night and my family absolutely loved the experience of not only watching my daughter but all of the other amazing routines as well. My 5 year old daughter has been taking dance here for 2 years and loves it. Brooke is great with the little ones. There is an annual recital that takes place in June every year at Lakeside High School in Lake Elsinore. Tickets usually run about $10-$15 each. Costumes average around $60. Recitals are not mandatory, but the kids LOVE it and its so fun to watch them in full costume doing their routines. There is even flowers and trophys for sale at recitals. There is also a Christmas/Holiday recital In December for the 2-7 year olds. Costumes are usually only $20 and tix are either free or $8 at most. JDI has 3 dance rooms and one way viewing windows from the waiting area to watch your little ones practice. They offer a wide variety of classes, which is the main reason I brought my daughter here instead of the dance studio I used to attend. There are also events some month like 'Princess Dance Camp' usually held on a Saturday from 12-3pm where kids can come, dance, play, do a craft and have a snack. The reason for the lack of a star would be the organization of the studio. I understand they are a fairly new studio and things are improving. And the chaos in the waiting area is horrible. It's a very small walk way and waiting area. Most parents stay the whole class so it gets crowded fast and even more during the end of a class and beginning of another. JDI isn't fully responsible for this, most parents bring their other children to wait as well and don't control them. It gets quite loud and there are always kids running around or on the floor. Other than that, I highly recommend JDI Dance Company. read more

Today was my first day going to baby hip hop. My kid is 2.5 and the teacher warmed them up and dance with them for about 3 min max. The rest of the time they ran around the studio like crazy and played with bubbles. The owner said they do that so the kids can have fun and get use to dancing. I do not agree! I can play with bubbles at home with my child. You can let the kids say their name and have each kid show their dance moves , put music on and let them do movement , teach them one dance move and make a game out of the dance move etc. But the class must be geared around DANCE not bubbles. I was very very disappointed . So I just got a response from the owner she saiid " The first four weeks ( a whole month!) the kids will be playing with bubbles to distract them from being away from their parents. After a month of bubbles they will get into the basic..... I feel they need to tell people that their kids will be running around chasing bubbles for a whole month straight!! Not ok read more

We've been with JDI for multiple years and couldn't be happier with our experience. Carly and Cayti are very professional and organized. They send out monthly emails and reminders which makes it nice for parents to stay up to date on anything going on in the studio. Everything that the studio does is above and beyond and no detail is left out. Miss Caitlin and Kerrigan are amazing with the little ones, they make it super fun and entertaining all while keeping the focus on dance. They are so patient with the littles. We just had the annual recital in June and we're blown away with how smooth everything ran and how cute the whole setup was. Their competition teams are truly spectacular and gives the dancers something to aspire too. You can tell all the staff's main focus is on the kids and providing a positive environment for them. I went with the "start then young" rout and started my daughter @ @JDI after hearing multiple recommendations. We are thrilled! My daughter is two and is loving every second. She's been so welcomed and encouraged by Miss Mimi! I was so nervous cause my daughter is still learning that it's okay no to be right next to mommy. Miss Mimi swooped her up so lovingly and my disgusted never looks back. She loves her time in class with all of the other girls and is learning SO fast. We are sooo.... grateful for JDI Dance Company. JDI has continued to offer excellent classes and programs, even through all of the Covid struggles. Their owners and staff went above and beyond to structure Zoom classes, so our dancers could continue dancing. For many children, like our daughter, this was the only time she was able to participate in an activity with her friends. Love this dance studio! We were so grateful to find something open for our children to participate in during 2020. Our children's education, socialization, and personal enrichment is very important to us so we are grateful to find JDI who supports those values. Even for recitals they were able to find a solution to allow the children to preform while still accommodating for those who are higher risk for covid. My children have been welcomed by all the teachers and encouraged to develop at their own pace. All the staff is incredibly friendly and it is very easy to get questions answered or solve an issue. I am particularly impressed with how costumes and picture day took place. We were in the studio for 20min to get pictures taken! That is outstanding if you've ever done dance photos before. As a dad, I was very unfamiliar with the dance world. However, my daughter started recital classes for a few years before going into JDI's competition program. First off, she absolutely loves all of her classes, fellow dancers, and the staff! She has excelled and progressed rapidly in both her athletic ability and self confidence, which is so important for kids, especially young girls. The quality of training seems to be top notch from some very experienced teachers who are exceptional in the area of caring for their students. In fact, this experience has really made us feel more like a family than just another business transaction. Everyone is so invested in the success of not only the kids but also representing the dance studio in a respectful manner when around other studios at competitions. When you meet kids who have been dancing since they were 3, age out at 18 after dancing for 15 years, and then STILL choose to stick around and be an instructor...JDI must be doing something right. The owners, Carly and Cayti, along with their instructors who have all been doing this for years, literally live and breathe this studio and its kids. Their lives completely revolve around making sure that everyone has a positive experience and fun on top of it all. From what I've seen in my short time exposed to other studios, I wouldn't want my child going anywhere else. I am so so happy with this place! My daughter just turned two and I wanted to get her into dance classes for socialization. I got her into Mimi's baby ballet class. My daughter cried the first three or four classes but Mimi was extremely patient with her and worked with her the whole time as well as paid attention to all of the other girls. Now all my daughter does is talk about ballet and dance around the house LOL. She is so happy and now is so excited to go every week. If I could give more stars I would! We have been with JDI for several years and this year was our daughter's first year joining a competition team with JDI. The amount of progress we've seen within a dance season is absolutely amazing! Kali has been her competition instructor this last season and works her butt off to make sure all her kids push themselves to their fullest potential, she encourages them and reminds them to try their best but to have fun doing it! We just love her! And we love how involved the whole studio and instructors are in providing the best environment for all the children to learn and grow throughout their dance journeys. The owners and staff truly love, care, and have an undeniable passion for dance that is contagious beyond doubt. I was here with my niece because my sister couldn't make it in time for her class and the lobby/waiting area was full, chairs were next to each other not even 1FT apart. We got there few minutes before her usual afternoon class and ever the parents from the class before were seating closed to each other on the chairs and no mask. Staff member had no problem with it but what made it worst was that every single parent was maskless on next class as well. I was the only one wearing a mask and the receptionist. Later a staff member came and start fixing what seemed to be a competition dress talking about a soon event coming up she laid the dress on one of the chairs sneezed on the dress she had no mask, the teacher for the 5:30pm little ones also had no mask I believe she was not their usually teacher I think we saw her before as a receptionist however that doesn't matter. Why is this allowed and what type of miss understanding this is? I personally want to call the health department and have them check this out. It could be a huge spreader now when things are calming down and for what? For some ignorance? read more

Notice that the poor reviews are from mindless followers only worried about whether or not there were warnings posted requiring masks and how close people are "allowed" to get to each other? It is a great school with exceptional instruction, THAT is what matters. If you are a "Karen" that needs to be told when, where, and how to wear PPE and expect everyone else to require the same then I will tell you, Keep your kid home and show them dance videos online and you can all walk around the house wearing masks together. The rest of us will bring our kids to this great dance school and let them have a normal childhood being taught by top quality instructors... and we will interact with each other as WE see fit for ourselves. Having said all that, nothing is perfect, not even this studio. So what is the downside? They have outgrown their location and traffic in the parking lot is obscene. To their credit, they are trying and have lot attendants and some other attempts to work around the Covid nonsense forced down their throats by local regulations but it just doesn't seem sustainable in the long term and hopefully they will move to a roomier location with better parking and less traffic. read more
