It's about time a leave a review, this will be our 5th season at Intensity. Our children have been welcomed like family, our family has been welcomed like family. We started when my kiddos were babies, in tiny toy tumbling and mommy and me classes. Then progressed to all star cheer. Everyone, front office, coaches and families have been amazing! Owners have set a standard and a culture that is like nothing else.

My daughter was an athlete at Intensity Athletics for 2 years. It was the worst experience. My daughter is suffering from low self-esteem, no confidence, and how mean her teammates can be. This gym, the coaches, and the owner, Sumer, plays favorites. Let me explain. Every athlete has a spot. Whether it's a flyer, tumbler, or a base. A few girls are shoved to the back, in hiding. This gym allows bad behavior (a girl 13 years old, brought her phone with herself and a boy sex video, proudly showing other girls of all ages, with no repercussions), mean girls and their moms, and coaches nor the owner make themselves available to seek resolution for problems. One thing that really bothers me is that the coaches accept bribes (or continuous gifts throughout the season). YES, money, bills paid, travel expenses, clothing, amongst other things. It's all about the money. Everyone is expected to raise funds for a raffle. Minimum $50 goes to the gym for the end of year banquet and the rest of the funds for each team. The team mom handles and decides how she will advocate the funds. No transparency, no accountability. I can say that one team was quashed. Those funds went to the gym, not the athletes that raised the money. With cheer being one of the most expensive sports, why didn't the girls get the funds added onto their accounts. Also, when your girls arrive at a competition, they are supposed to be safe with the team mom and coaches. However, young girls have been left behind. It's not good. And again, there is no accountability. Girls are not bound as a team. The mean girls are allowed to tease, use vulgar language, and call girls they don't like names. They always leave out a girl or girls, not allowing them to be part of the group. This gym and our society are the reasons these kinds of people grow up to be snobby and mean. Can't we teach our children better? Our kids are supposed to be considerate, respectful, and empathetic. Sumer, the coaches could use some lessons and stay true to the carriage of contract we ALL sign. What we did get out of this gym is to know when a place is toxic and so negative, it's time to just walk away, tear up the contract and find a gym that treats "EVERYONE" like family, not just another dollar sign. Good luck to those who dare to go to this gym.

I can't speak highly enough about Intensity Athletics My daughter being part of the Intensity Squad has been a major positive impact on her growth. Teamwork, determination and loyalty. The coaches put in 110%

If I could give more then 5 STARS I would. We are apart of the merge from Surge to Intensity and our Daughter just loves it. To our surprise Intensity is very family oriented. We didn't expect that from a bigger gym but were pleasantly impressed!! The staff is amazing, friendly and greeted us with open arms. Their always willing to help with any questions. They honor government discount which is a plus in our book. The office is very busy so I usually drop her off and head to Von's down the street for groceries. I do wish Tumble Class was twice a week or longer. I feel this would give her more time to practice and provided her with the confidences she needs for competitions. Hopefully one day Intensity can add on twice a week or extra Tumble time on at an extra fee a month.

The footage confirms the GM's intentional use of force. Following extensive medical intervention, a (QME) has officially issued a Permanent Disability Rating regarding my left shoulder. Clinical diagnostics confirm a total and permanent loss of function in the left shoulder. I am currently on permanent disability as a direct and proximate result of the GM's (TG) actions. This establishment is now the subject of litigation for personal injury, battery, and gross negligence. Management's failure to maintain a safe environment has resulted in a permanent physical impairment. Prospective members and stakeholders should be advised of the severe lack of professional restraint and the significant legal liabilities associated with this facility's leadership. Rating: (3.5 stars)…read more Powerhouse Gym Murrieta has the potential to be an amazing facility--it's a massive, wide-open space filled with a solid mix of machines, free weights, a full boxing ring with bags, and even a fake grass area that's perfect for kettlebells, calisthenics, and sled work. I really appreciate how much variety there is for different types of workouts. One of the biggest wins here is the kids' daycare/playground area, which has been a game-changer for my wife and me. Being able to work out together while our kid is safe and entertained is a major plus. That said, there are definitely some downsides that keep this from being a top-tier gym. Too many machines are either out of order or in rough shape, and it often takes weeks for them to get repaired--if at all. During my most recent workout today (6/21/25), I saw two machines still broken that were also down last month. It's frustrating to see that kind of upkeep issue in a gym this size. I haven't used the new upgraded "Pro Room" area yet, but when I checked it out, the strong rubber mat odor was overwhelming--not exactly a motivating vibe. In summary, Powerhouse Gym Murrieta has all the makings of a 5-star facility, but the inconsistent maintenance really holds it back. I hope they invest more in upkeep, because the bones of a great gym are definitely here.

The stalls are pretty wide and easier to maneuver than the Menifee location. I like that they have an actual boxing ring, although I have never used it. They also have a few punching bags to let out some aggression, which we can all appreciate. They have the standard hydromassages and infrared saunas (2 of each), which seem to be way more available than Menifee's. 9 times out of 10, I walk in here to ask if they have a sauna available, and they either do, or it will be in about a half hr or so. I haven't taken any group classes here, and they don't have a pool, but I like this one better because everything is all on one level. Restrooms are always clean, and the staff keeps the entire place in great condition. I just wish members would be mindful of others and clean up their nasty sweat off the sauna benches and not just walk out when they're done. That's just disgusting and rude, smdh. Other than that, this Powerhouse Gym location is convenient and very welcoming. They also have 2 rowing machines right in front of the childcare doors which no one ever uses. Thank you, because I use them, lol! Be back sooner or later! Give it a shot. Their membership prices can't be beat!

Unfortunately because this is the best location, everybody in a 20 mile radius wants to show up at the exact same time turning the parking lot, front entry, and weight room into a clusterf**k. Therefore, the best way to actually enjoy your workout is to show up just in that critical timeframe just after all the WFH people's lunch break ends and before the jocks get out of school. If you can get in this location outside of peak hours, everything is quite clean, somewhat spacious, and the staff are always friendly and outgoing (thanks Ian for the swag). My only issue with the Winchester location (really all EOS locations) is that when the gym is full of mouth-breathing muscle heads and climb-milling influencers, the air temperature gets out of hand. Please for the love of God crank the A/C and fans during peak hours. Sometimes this place gets hotboxed worse than several of the cars in the parking lot pre-workout and I mean with the smell of a$$ not weed...well maybe it's both. The newer LIFT room is a major highlight, featuring multiple squat racks, high-quality machines, a wide range of free weights, and even an indoor sprint/sled track. It's clearly designed with serious lifters in mind. I'd give it a full 5 stars, but there are a few minor drawbacks: (A) The weight racks aren't labeled, making it unclear where to re-rack plates (B) There's only one set of barbell clips shared across eight benches on the main floor (C) The pool temperature felt a bit too cool--it could definitely be warmer That said, the gym is clean, well-maintained, and offers a solid mix of strength and cardio equipment. Overall, it's a great place to work out. ******And FYI ... my note to the the gym 4/6/26****** I visited the Winchester location a few months ago and recently came back. The LIFT room is excellent--really well done. However, I noticed both during my recent visit and last winter that there are about eight incline, decline, and flat benches on the main floor, but only one set of barbell clips available. As a result, some benches go unused, or members end up lifting without clips, which isn't safe. Adding more clips would make a big difference. This is honestly the only thing holding me back from giving a 5-star review. Thanks for your attention to this!
