It sucks when you are really excited to work with a business and then regret it when the job is done. Before the bad stuff... Esmeralda, the office person, was a sweetie and was very sympathetic. Now...We hired them to repair a small section of driveway (4x8) that was severely cracked. They scheduled an appointment to come out and do the job and then had to reschedule. That's fine no big deal. One time. When they were done they instructed us to wait 2 days before we do anything with it. Just in case we waited 3. We removed the wood barriers and parts of the edges crumbled away. We contacted the office and it took several phones calls to schedule a day for them to come fix it. This included being told we would be called back the same day and not hearing back from them. Mind you, we've already paid them in full. Finally we scheduled a day. Well, that day came and something came up and they had to reschedule. One more time...no big deal. Scheduled another day the next week...that day, when they didn't show up, we called only to be told they couldn't make it. Again, we rescheduled. Guess what? They didn't show up again at the agreed on time and we had to call them to see why. They said they would be a few hours late. Then, guess what? They didn't show. So we called them to see why. Wondering why we keep having to call them to see what's going on? Unfortunately, by this time we were angry. We expressed this and they came the next day and patched the sections. They posted pictures from the day of the repair with the caption "Final results of that concrete repair!" Of course, it looks great. It was just done. The cement wasn't dry and the side barriers weren't taking off yet. The patches that were done on the other hand did not look great. Plus the repair dried in different colors. Pictures attached for reference of actual final result and patches. Oh yeah! They stated they would send over a contract before the job was done and that never happened. During a pandemic throwing down hundreds of dollars to get this kind of result sucks. Needless to say we will not be working with them again. I hate to be that guy and write a negative review. At the end of the day, we could have excused the multiple reschedules but it was the final result that really bothered us. The patches look like they didn't even care and just wanted to get it "done" so we would stop bothering them. read more

I had scheduled this group to come out and help us get our parking lot up to ADA compliance and fill some potholes. When the guy came out to quote, I had asked if the concrete near the area that would be repaired would need to be altered. We discussed different ways to accomplish what I needed and he said there was a way to do it without having to pull up concrete. They showed up this morning (1.5 hours late by the way) and their guys hung out in my lot until their management arrived to get the check so they could begin. I go out to pay them and they give me a spiel about how there is no way to do it without ripping up the concrete and the way they were showing me that they were going to do it made it so there would be a major trip hazard. They told me they needed "at least" double what they initially quoted me. I don't mind paying for work that I need done, but what I do mind is when people try to pull something over on me, quoting me one amount then charging me more later. I told them to leave. Even if we do end up needing to redo the concrete we will not be using them, no matter where their price is in the range. My advice as a business owner? Be honest with potential clients, especially those considering hiring you for a much larger job should this one have gone well. read more

I called the company wanting a bid on my driveway, they sent out a representative named Adrian who seemed like he knew what he was doing and promised a bid for the job same day. I received a bid with the price and booked them for the job. A day before start date I get a call from the representative Adrian saying that his boss Jose is not willing to do the job for the price agreed on and that it's an extra 1500$ After telling him that I was even willing to pay an extra $500 over asking they just responded that they don't care and I can go find someone else to do the job. I'm a roofing contractor for over 10 years and never asked more than agreed upon and never gave my customers answers like that I really don't recommend anyone to work with them, they are just trying to scam people into paying more!!!!! The whole process from initial request to final goodbye was fantastic. We asked four companies for a quote on replacing the back wall and JDJS was the only company that pointed out a possible issue with the original base. Their review and work description details fully explained what they were quoting on so there was no guessing involved (which pointed out a fail on my part but they quickly update the quote). The full work crew arrived early on the expected date, knew exactly what was needed and had the correct team, tools and materials for the job. The crew arrived on the two scheduled days AND on time, so we did not have to inconvenience our tenants on any other days. The owner of the company, Jose, managed the crew and Adrian was there to solve any issues which could have occurred -- BUT there were none. Adrian insured that everything was done correctly. They sent me a bid last April for 6,000 dollars to replace my driveway. They were busy and I understood so I waited a few weeks for them to begin. Then the young man who gave me the bid became ill and we postponed the job again. I waited patiently calling every 2 weeks to get a start date. I finally got a start date in mid-July for mid-August. JDJS did the asphalt curbing in front of our home. It was in really bad shape before they came. They saw-cut the curbing from the street, jackhammered the existing asphalt, and removed it. They came back the next day and put in the new asphalt. The price was very similar to other bids... They worked very cleanly and did no damage to the new driveway and pavers they had to work around. It looked so good, two other neighbors asked them to give bids. The main person I spoke with was Adrian-- and he was the best.
