Resurfacing 80year old hardwood oak floors that were quite stained and some areas were damaged by who knows what. I met with Charlie at the house and spent about two hours planning the restoration. He was professional and informative about the condition of the floors. Charlie explained what I was to expect to significantly enhance the floors appearance and extend the life of the floors. The restoration took three days. At the end of the project we had a brand new looking floor that we know was 80 years old. It's amazing. Mom saw the floors and she cried because it was so beautiful. I recommend this company if you need to resurface/restoration your hardwood floors. The price is reasonable and competitive. No one else in Bakersfield could beat the estimate. Charlie took time to listen to our Widowed elderly neighbor who was desperately looking for an honest contractor. She was on the third contractor all had given her an estimate 3-4 thousand dollars over price for the job that should have been one thousand dollars. Jonathan and his foreman William were awesome. The project was scheduled for 3-4 weeks and if it wasn't for an "atmospheric river" of rain , it would have been completed right on time. They were super apologetic for going over the estimated time frame. But everything was done to specs and even accepted a side quest to add a shed pad mid job. I can see where some people might have had language barriers speaking directly to the workers but Jonathan was always a text away- even while on vacation in Hawaii. The workers were always friendly and professional. We will definitely use them again since we have more backyard to fill up! read more

I recently decided to start my search for a contractor to renovate my shithole backyard and widen my driveway up to my property line. My son and I called several companies, did a lot of research and had estimates done. Wow how stressful Lol!! Because I really didn't want to be screwed over i was spending thousands of dollars so for me it was a lot of anxiety. When I bought the house 10 years ago the builder wasn't installing back yards or patio covers with the homes unless you spent an exorbitant amount of money. I had a budget and just needed more space and thought oh well i'll do the yard later. Nope hahaha! So I kept it dirt like an idiot. It was fine for years my sons and I just grilled like hillbillies out back on the patio looking at dirt. LOL Fast forward to 15 months ago my dad fell ill at the hands of my brother and his family due to neglect among other things. So I had to take over my dad's care and with that came debilitating stress, depression and ptsd from what my brother put me through. So the yard literally went to hell that wasn't my or my sons priority we just wanted to get through everything alive and out on the bright side of the hell we were going through. And we did. I chose Ecosmart construction to take on the shithole that was my yard and driveway extension. You'd never know by looking at my front yard that once you walked through my back gate you'd be in hell LOL!! Matthew took video, pics and measurements and discussed pricing and exactly what my son and I wanted. He also offered his advice of course. I knew this wasn't going to be a cheap project by any means so in my mind I was prepared after looking up the average cost in my area for concrete, turf etc. Ecosmart is not the cheapest but they also aren't the most expensive they are right in the middle. And to be honest it's just right based on my experience and the quality of work they achieved with what hell yard I had given them. They give you the estimate and you pay a percentage after demolition, then a percentage after concrete then the last percentage at completion of the project. I was torn on the rating for a second. And everyone makes mistakes i get that. But I had a set amount on my contract which stated included all material and labour. So I thought when Matthew told my son he made a mistake and didn't include the labour for the turf install i thought no way! Because from what I was seeing all labour was stated included on my contract. But I'm told no it wasn't for the turf install. So that added another negotiated amount. I decided to just pay it in good faith that they were right and to not delay my project mid way through. I was torn with my rating because at first I wanted to take away one star but couldn't because the work they did is 5 star all the way!! They literally took the shittiest shithole back yard and made it in my opinion clean, literally maintenance free and beautiful and liveable!!! Finally YAY!! You don't even know how it feels to not have to look out back every morning and not see that mess Lol!! It's divine!! It's happy!!! It's F*cking Awesome!!! They demolished my front side yard removing everything grass, bushes etc. I mean my neighbors dogs used it as a toilet and they never cleaned up after them they just let my poor gardener do that...Shame!! So bye bye it all went. Matthew also went to my neighbor and let them know that we were going to extend the driveway and that their contractor messed up and didn't pave to their property line and we needed to make it look right so they needed to agree to accept concrete paid for by me so my driveway wouldn't look stupid. Obviously they agreed never said thank you to me but whatever. They did rebar, graded, framed everything etc that first day or two after demolition. I did new concrete all the way around my entire house. I left the 10x14 patio the builder put in and just had them add to it. A total of over 1750 sf of concrete was done and done beautifully. Every single supervisor and worker showed up early and on time daily and didn't leave until everything was completed each day. They also were meticulous in cleaning up! They moved my drainage and reinstalled in a better place on each side, graded that stupid hill that runs across my entire back yard, added high end plush eco friendly turf that feels like plush carpet!! And it's Gorgeous!! Just have to spray it off that's it! They also installed a patio gazebo and a bbq gazebo for my son. I love my driveway extension!! Now I can buy more cars!! LOL In all seriousness Ecosmart brought life & happiness to my property that didn't exist before and did it in the most easy, painless way possible. Thank you guys for everything! All staff was nothing but professional and amazing to my son and I. I will be using you again. You Rock! The tl;dr: this company may be great in Woodland Hills, but the service they are advertising in the Central Valley is an incredibly disappointing level of unprofessional to say the least. I cannot discourage you enough from inviting them on your property. The short version: -- when I reached out for an estimate for our large Bakersfield landscaping project, their scheduler asked me if my husband would be present. When I said no...? she then asked if I was cleared to make financial decisions. Yes, in 2026. Yes, I am very familiar with the job and regularly oversee remodels and property projects. -- I called their listed phone number and left a message, got a text reply from another number, then a phone call the next day from a third number. I then got an appointment reminder text from a different email address, another phone call reminder the night before, then a new number and later text calling the morning of to confirm. Not wrong, but weird and challenging to keep track of particularly when working with numerous bids on a job. -- despite my numerous reminders and messages to not disturb my tenants on site, their estimator immediately did upon his already-late arrival. When I came out to the house and asked him what he was doing, he then asserted that (1) it wasn't a big deal invading their privacy and (2) it was my fault he did so even after admitting he didn't read the notes on the appointment or my text message replies regarding the same. The gate to the project area was open and I had been waiting 25 minutes where I directed him to meet me behind the open gate. -- after he continued to argue with me that it wasn't a problem that he went to my tenant's door, rang the doorbell, and asked them where I was before calling me, I told him that our communication challenges to this point led me to believe he were not a good fit for this job and that I would like him to leave as I did not want to continue further. He again insisted that I listen to him explain why he wasn't in the wrong and telling me "you can't be mad I didn't read the message - it's no big deal." -- when I told him firmly to leave my property and that he was not welcome to speak disrespectfully to me, he called out "f**king Karen" to my back as I walked away. Needless to say, they will never be getting my business and I hope you save yourself the bad experience with this crappy outfit. Even if you ask permission from your husband. read more

We couldn't be happier with the transformation of our bathroom!!! before the remodel, the space fell outdated crammed and lacking in functuality now it feels like we have our own personal spa right at home. The new shower with the glass enclosure and black fixtures is not only beautiful, but also makes the room feel so much bigger and brighter. The double vanity is both stylish and practical giving us plenty of counter spaces and storage. We especially love the mirrors were built in lighting. They came early and worked long hours to get the project finished before the next heavy rain. Etay came back to review what had been done and he spent more time trouble-shooting to keep the problem from recurring. Given the time Etay and crew spent and the many repairs over the years to my living room, (due to water soaking through a wall) their fee was a great bargain. Booked for a quote for Sunday, got a call saying someone got sick and if we can reschedule, no problem I have Wednesday off too, rescheduled for Wednesday at 11am-1pm window, got another call the next day asking to push it to 12pm-2pm window. Okay, no problem I can accommodate. I just got another call, it's 1:23pm an hour and 23 minutes into my window from Kenny asking yet again for me to reschedule due to a family emergency. I understand, but if my time and accommodation isn't taken into consideration, I will not do business with these people or this company. Update: These people actually had the audacity to send someone to my HOME trying to get me to remove this review. I've been told by 2 different people (Both Kenny and Mor) that this honest unbiased review directly impacts their income and if they feed their children or not. If a single review effects if you feed your children or not, that sounds like you need to work for a company that supports their employees. I don't appreciate being harassed, solicited, bribed or blamed for being the reason someone dosen't feed their children. I want who ever is reading this to know, I will file a formal complaint with the police department if I ever feel threatened by unsolicited visits to my home again. read more

The scope of the work: add a small amount of hardscape, add turf, re do a drip system, add plants and palm trees to front and backyard, and a 2.5 foot tall/ approx. 30 foot long retaining wall to our front yard. We were told the work would take approximately 3 days to complete, it's been about 3.5 months since the work was started, and they still have not been able to properly install a drip system to our backyard. They will tell you they have a crew coming to work, but they won't show up, won't call or follow up, I've always had to contact them. They put blame on the crews for now showing up. Most of the time when the crew did show up to work, I'd have to explain to them the scope of the work, which usually was difficult because there was usually a language barrier. It's like pulling teeth to get this company to do a decent job. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. read more

The team of three they sent to do our 1,700sqft backyard were professional team that really knew what they we doing.
