I am very sad to say that the 5 star review we gave to Davido Asphalt Paving, turned out to be a disappointing experience after two years! We had weeds coming through the asphalt within 2 years (had never happened that quickly before) They said it needed to be resurfaced already after 18 months, a top coat! Wanted almost 2 K for that. We declined. Then I got a notice from teh IRS saying they had provided us with FAKE/ incorrect Tax ID #. I contacted them. They resent a new #, claiming it had been conveyed incorrectly. Again not legit. I have now had no less than 6 conversatoins, text messages and emails from them promising to 'correct the issue.' It has been since May and NO RESPONSE. WE ARE SO DISAPPOINTED IN THIS COMPANY. DO NOT USE THEM. read more

It truly pains me to write negative reviews. However, in this case, I feel compelled to. Romeo quoted me $2000 to reseal and repair a section of my approximately 800 square foot residential driveway. ($1000 reseal; $1000 repair.) Unfortunately, the following ensued: 1) The crew made zero effort to cover and protect my landscaping, thus, sealer overflowed onto my newly installed border edging and landscape rock. My wife intervened, but it was too late and irreparable damage was done, necessitating new edging. 2) Rather than cut the area needing repair (approx. 5 sq. feet) into a rectangular shape with neat edges, the crew literally scooped out the previously installed temporary "cold asphalt" with their hands and make-shift tools, then filled it with hot asphalt resulting in a misshapen, uneven look. I was charged $1000 for this!!! I've since contacted Romeo and he promised to correct the shortcomings by end of August. It's now September 1st and I have not been contacted since August 19. Honestly, this whole experience makes me sad. I trusted Davido with $2000 to do a great job and instead I was left with an uneven surface and irreparable damage. Sad. I've filed a Yelp Guarantee claim and hope Yelp comes through on their promise. read more

One property had been done a year prior by a different company, but was already showing signs of abnormal wear. Romeo & Mary came out to evaluate and provide estimates. They very clearly explained the different steps and specifications of what needed to be done. Davido Asphalt & Concrete did a truly terrible job and then did not come and fix it. They charged us $23,000 for a new driveway and when they were done we had loose rocks, asphalt everywhere, and places that they missed. Further the tenants could not open their garages because the asphalt was way too high. Davido came out to see the workmanship and was embarrassed at the lack of quality of his company. He promised they would come back to fix it and after 3 months do a reseal, but instead he just stopped answering his phone. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone! read more

Do NOT use this company, if you have a steep driveway that needs to be graded for water run off and street access. Romeo came out and gave me a quote. Before work started, I specifically made a point that I was concerned that water would go into the garage and the cars would not be able to get up the driveway without scraping since they were adding asphalt over existing. He said it would not be a problem. When finished, water poured into the garage and my car scraped and can no longer get up the driveway. They came back and dug a trench from the garage to create a run off. It didnt work so they patched it and built a bump at the garage entrance that anyone can trip on. They said I needed to pay them more money to fix it correctly. They no longer return my texts or calls regarding fixing it. Did not even address the street access except by text that he would try to ask around for a solution. Very nice at the beginning but they left me with a trip hazard and a huge step up from the curb so I am still unable to use the driveway with one of my cars. They did not know how to grade the driveway properly and so I am stuck finding another company who knows what they are doing and paying even more to fix it. Find someone else so you don't get stuck with this company's lack of knowledge and unwillingness to fix it. read more

Davido Asphalt slurry sealed my driveway in December 2022. This caused me concern since it started raining the day after it was finished. Steven Davido guaranteed me that if it didnt last through the rains he would come back and reseal it again at no cost. Well by April 2023 the driveway was looking very bad, the slurry coat had cracked and was pealing up so I called Steven and he held to his word and to his work.
