This is the for swim classes, specifically level one class. We normally attend Tuesdays and Thursdays classes and I noticed at this time the manager is busy chitchatting with staff and not focused on the swimmers and teachers. Some days this class has two teachers but lately this class has only one teacher for about 7 students. They are not given the attention they need, where as level 2 class has two teachers for 5 students.. not sure the logic here being that level one are beginners... talking to the manager here is like talking to a young high school graduate who appears to be inexperienced and is preoccupied with socializing rather than managing the department. Lacks professionalism! read more

I love this pool. They open at 5am and close at 9pm daily. Remodeled and clean facility with great instructors and lifeguards on deck at all times. Highly recommend for anyone interested in leisure or wanting to learn how to swim. I like its close proximity to the freeway and you can live in SF, Daly City or San Bruno and be there in a matter of minutes. read more

Have attended water aerobics class sporadically for many years but find the current instructors to be quite unfriendly. Where connecting with other participants used to be a joyful part of the exercise experience, socializing is now frowned upon. Two different instructors have publicly scolded patrons during class for not participating "properly." We will find a friendlier place to enjoy the water. read more

I've been coming here since my boys were on the Pacifica Sea Lions team years ago when Mary and Pete were the Coaches and I would do my laps in the other lane. Fast forward to Covid times and love the fact that they have generous open lap swim times to accommodate retirees and folks that still work. They also have evening lap swim hours as well. Best of all are the regulars that come here which during the time that I swim are mostly retirees. Did I mention they have water aerobics daily from 11-12 noon where they average 20 plus attendees? 4 solid stars and it would have been 5 if the mens locker room was maintained better. read more

This Tiger doesn't eat shark meat so much as take a swim in the rival pool! Depending upon staffing, one either pays at pool side or at the reception area just beyond the main entrance to the facility. The pool accepts either cash or check as payment. There are pool passes available for purchase as well. Life guards seem pretty passive when they are on deck. I've witnessed inappropriate lap lane behaviour that goes unchallenged by staff. This puts the onus on the swimmer to maintain order. Of course, that's is all well and good if there aren't lane hogs in the pool. The ladies' locker room is adequate. Lockers are of decent size and seating is all right if the locker room isn't too crowded as it can be after the water aerobics class. Toilets are a bit grotty, but that's not a big surprise. I mean, this pool is a high school pool after all. There is no suit wringer. I do a bit of hand-wringing of the suit in the shower and have done with it. The open shower area has four shower heads with one head semi blocked by a partial wall. There are ample towel hooks along two of the walls. I have found both the water pressure and temperature to be very favourable. A Monday-Friday water aerobics class takes place in the shallow end. Check the website as class times shift throughout the year. There are various instructors throughout that week, so the class ranges in style and temperament, if you will. There are two parking lots, one just off the street and one tucked away almost at the back of the pool facility. Available spaces are nearly always a given. At six bucks a pop, this place is a rare bargain. read more

Been going for years to pools. Now besides my weekly schedule, take the grandkids. I'm so happy to have the pool and accept the challenges of changing schedules to accommodate summer programs and swimmers' mets (sp).Mostly, everyone adheres to the popular busy pool rules and etiquette such lane share. I normally use the water walking lane and alas fast swimmers will use it although clearly marked for walking. The pool guards won't address the swimmers. There are two walkers who do not use the share rule (3 can share a lane) of one side up and the other down to keep a flow going. Rather slowly walk side by side talking, stop in the middle not allowing for another to squeeze pass without concern to bump into each other. Again, the (young) pool guards don't want to remind them of pool share rules. That's it folks. Got it off my swimsuit chest. Other than that, I so enjoy pool time! read more

Life guards are inconsistent with how they watch the swimmers. Some enforce safety, while most don't. Wish they had a website so I can know if there is rec swim on Monday. Nobody answers the phone when I call so its hit or miss to go with my kids. read more

So glad they have re-opened since Covid. Allowing both birthday parties and lessons resuming this summer. Bailey told us he even had to rehire the entire staff since the pandemic. So happy to see this place coming back into full swing. Recently hosted a child's birthday party there. Price is very reasonable for full private party for the entire facility for the event. Manager, Bailey, and his staff were so helpful in both set up and tear down of tables/chairs. Tables, chairs, life vest, swim noodles etc all included. Kids had a blast, and stress-free (as much as possible) for the adults. Highly recommend. Can't wait to schedule some lessons for my kids. But, height requirement for unaccompanied child lessons is 42 inches. read more

Large, clean pool that offers lane swimming and water aerobics classes. Easy access to and from the highway.

I like this pool, as generally it is relatively clean and I can find a lane either solo or to share (I have an "All Access" membership, so that helps). I don't know how often they clean it but sometimes there are dubious substances floating, so they could do a better job of keeping it clean. And the Ladies room is in major need of an upgrade. Lockers are old and janky, there is mold in the showers and walls, there isn't good drainage on the floors, and there isn't a bathing suit dryer. I understand they needed to raise prices, but using a little bit of that money to improve facilities will go a long way. Oh, maybe it is generational, but most of the lifeguards need a lesson in manners. read more

Love swimming here in the mornings before work. Its close to the house and really affordable ($6/session). My only complaint is that its so popular I've almost always had to share a lane with someone else (sometimes two people). Went to to the pool with my daughter tonight (Friday) for the first time. It's labeled on their website as "Family Recreation Swim" but it was more like dropping of tweens/teenagers unsupervised to act crazy in the pool. They have the pool divided into four sections. Shallow end which was cramped (3ft) with kids splashing each other, no room to swim. Two lap lanes in the middle which were quickly taken. Why laps during recreation? Two people are enjoying the space while you have a whole bunch of kids confined to a small space in the shallow end? Third section was for diving and the fourth section was the deep end. This is where my daughter was trying to swim and hang out but apparently everyone wanted to jump in and out in this section. Didn't matter if a child was in the vicinity. These kids would just jump near everyone's face. Not to mention that they kept pushing their friend into the pool. Out of 10-15 minutes of watching this behavior, the life guard whistled once but as soon as she turned the other way, they were back at it. A few minutes later, the last straw was one of the kids playing with a ball and hitting it very hard in my daughters direction and hitting the side of her head. I got out her out of the pool and heading straight to the front desk to tell them about how these older kids are acting in the pool. The gentleman was nice enough to give us a refund but I will not be back to this pool ever again. read more

This pool has been very fun for me and my family along the years. I am just now deciding to write this review because of the service that was provided to us recently by our local lifeguard. Emil, a young lifeguard that just started this week was very friendly and energetic about his job. When the kids were jumping off the diving board Emil would watch and clap along with the kids, because of Emil my kids are always wanting to go to the pool to see him. If I was in charge i would give him a raise immediately for his service. read more

I love this pool. The water here is usually just the right temperature for lap swimming. The fact I can bring my child for rec swim in an safe indoor location is pretty awesome. But when I drop off my child to help the pool a swimmer aide and an employee has complained about her being on time, when the manager is the one running late, I wonder if it is time for that manager to find a new job. I really don't want my child to be affected by a supervisor's negative attitude when my child is trying to learn the value of volunteering in the community. Manager Courtney please improve your attitude or leave the management of young volunteers to someone else with a disposition better able to lead them in the spirit of the activity instead spreading drama to people who you will only affect in a negative manner. Overall I still think this pool a great place to swim. I just hope some attitudes shift a bit over time so that my whole family can consistently benefit read more

This pool is very clean, but the locker room could be better kept. Also all but one of the lifeguards seem kind of useless. Some kids were tossing goggles pretty far back and forth, some one could have gotten hurt. One who cared more about fixing his hair said "they are just being kids". Nice job being a lifeguard, go back to fixing your hair. read more

Very clean facility, the Little Bobber's infant swim lessons are difficult to book and a hit or miss depending on instructors. As an alternative, I would recommend going to the free swim time 1-3pm, some summers have special 2 for 1 price days that are sponsored make it a great deal. The Little Bobber's class I felt was not worth the money for what it was = 80% free swim and 20% 1-2 lame kids singing songs with no purpose (every class was Wheels on the Bus or Twinkle Twinkle) with limited instruction taught by high school kids. I would go with the Le Petite Baleen instead. But my wife and son had a blast, I was laughing a lot while filming and taking photos for the 30min class. The ramped and rail water access was great for those carrying little ones or elderly with leg issues. That being said, the free swim was affordable $5-8 adjusted with age and nice 1-3pm M-F. You can reserve times for birthday parties where they fill the pool with floating balls and toys, but limited times and availability. For older kids lessons 4yrs and up seemed more structured and helpful towards actual learning to swim. For competitive swimming, I have my doubts on their effectiveness of training style vs results. At least for the 2014-2015 season, the Terra Nova HS swim team had ZERO wins, they preach sportsmanship first, but really, ZERO wins? I blame the coaches and instructors for this, not the lack of kid talent. Coming from a strong High School Swim team from the East Coast, this place/town is amateur/recreational. For competitive or Olympic level instruction, I would go South to Burlingame/Millbrae or Palo Alto/Stanford. read more

Beautiful pool but the staff is awful. Taken water aerobics for 2-3,years. Never know if there will be a teacher and don't let people know so you come all dressed and ready and no teacher. Then they decide to clean the pool, you come for your class and find out, no class The staff just shakes their head. Spoke to supervisor got no where. read more

Pool is great! Locker room decent. I've seen much worst. The only thing is that I saw kids playing with the cell-phone in the locker room. I don't think they are taking video or pictures but I still feel un-easy about it. read more
