I have been going here for a while and had not had a cut in over a year because I had a baby. When I walked in, my hairdresser was visibly mad at me, had extremely negative energy, and was extremely short (and rather unprofessional) when asking what I would like to have done. I apologized multiple times but I could tell that she was still upset. As a mom of 2 kids, this was something I was really looking forward to on my birthday - and it was my self-care gift to myself. She did not ask me how I was doing but then proceeded to talk about herself and all of her own negative life experiences the entire time. I left not liking the cut and feeling energetically upset. It's now several days later and I still can't get the dye off my skin - so embarrassing. I had high hopes for this salon considering a lot of other reviews complemented their color specialty. Maybe if you go to the two or three people listed specifically in these reviews you wouldn't come out looking like this. However, I wasn't so lucky and unfortunately will not be returning. Trim was okay at best but I have long hair so you can't really notice any inconsistencies unless you're really inspecting. Also, my hair was only half blown out when the stylist showed me the final product and said, "I know it's a little frizzy right now." Really?!? If it were blown out properly with the proper products, it wouldn't have been "frizzy." Oh and last but certainly not least, my face mask was ruined as well - the stylist got dye all over the ear loops. I understand this may be hard to avoid but I feel like I should've had a warning before she just slopped dye all over it. After all, I had disposable masks in the car that I could've easily used instead. It seemed like my stylist had minimal/no prior experience. If you could take anything from this review, if you're going to this salon, ask for a specific stylist that has prior awesome reviews. :)

I had an appointment with Dana for a special haircut. I saved my money (it was way more than I…read moreusually pay) and treated myself to a top-level haircut and stylist. I showed her an Instagram video of the cut and expressed that my son was getting married in 2 weeks, so this cut was important. I was in the chair maybe 4 minutes, head bent forward, snip, side to side snip and the cut was done. After researching how this cut was usually done, I was beside myself. The Blow-out was spent with her fingers throughout my hair with strands flying everywhere. This blowout was faster than my own. I thought, maybe she'll go over the cut when dry but then unsnapped the black cape and said she was done. I said, "That's it?" and she replied "yep!". I got out of the chair and immediately canceled the next appointment which was the special blowout the day of my son's wedding. I thought, I can do that myself. The cut was pricey and uneven. Sometimes you don't get what you pay for.

My wife came in for a haircut and blow dry, and our son (who has long, curly/wavy hair) was…read morescheduled for a trim at the same time. While my wife was getting her hair washed, our son's haircut was done, so she didn't get to see the result until the very end. Her haircut itself was fine, but the blow dry was poorly done. The stylist only straightened the mid-lengths and ends, leaving the top 2-3 inches at the roots curly and frizzy. When she pointed this out, the stylist said it was "because her hair is curly." She explained that she had plenty of blowouts before and that the roots are always smoothed. He offered to flat iron it, but that's not what she wanted. She expected a proper blowout, not bone-straight hair. When she told him that he should've been upfront if he couldn't do a blowout, he got defensive and raised his voice. She wasn't going to let anyone speak to her disrespectfully, so she raised her voice too. At that point, the other stylist stepped in to re-wet her hair, and my wife used her own curly hair products and just left with her hair natural. Then she looked at our son's haircut and it was visibly uneven and crooked. When she brought it up, both stylists insisted it was "just the way curly hair looks" or that she was "pulling on a strand." That wasn't the case, it was just a bad, rushed cut. They did offer to fix it, but by then she'd lost all confidence in their ability to do so. If you don't know how to properly work with curly hair, cutting it or blowing it out , just say so. This wasn't our first time here, and her previous experience was decent, but this visit was disappointing. It felt rushed and careless, and that simply doesn't work with curly hair. We won't be coming back.
