With that said on our last vacation there as always we always stop at the Art Galleries off Pacific Coast Hwy 1. This time we stopped by Pacific Bay Gallery and I'm glad we did. I love collecting art such as paintings & sculptures and this was the right Gallery to visit. As we walked I we were greeted by the artist/painter Mr. Noki Noki is by origin from Thailand but got his Art degree in US and has been painting sceneries and sculpting for the past 15 years or so. After we chatted about art and his techniques I decided to buy a few of his awesome paintings. I like supporting local Artists because that's one way they'll keep going by doing what they love best "painting". His paintings include sceneries of Sonoma, Napa Valley, Ocean and local Wineries. The owner of the gallery was so kind and took the time to explain to us the various types of art pieces in his gallery. He explained to us the art techniques of his impressive collection of art made by Guillaume Azoulay, who has 2 pieces of art in the Louvre. I truly enjoyed my visit and hope to come back soon.

A nice keepsake to remember a pleasant day in the area. The woman working was pleasant and friendly and enjoyed a pleasant little chat.

The venue is nice and there was plenty of space, but not nearly enough food booths. I was hoping for shrimp skewers, shrimp pasta, lobster rolls, clams, different types of chowder, crab, crawfish, poke bowls, i dont know... just more seafood options at a fisherman's festival. There were more booths selling candles, handbags, crafts and other trinkets than seafood. Also, there were very few garbage cans, and limited places to sit. This is a cool annual weekend-long festival taking place at Westside Regional Park. Plenty to see…read moreand do, including an art show, Sheriff's helicopter demonstrations, wooden boat building challenge and race on Saturday, which was hilarious and entertaining (especially rooting for the sunken ships and riders, and amused by the quirky boat names, like Deep Ship and Ship Happens), boat parade on Sunday, awesome live music with 3 different bands each day (performing mostly rock tunes), numerous craft booths and merchandise vendors, various food/drink trucks and stands (had some giant gourmet corn dogs from Aunt Betty's, yummy bbq ribs and mac n cheese from Fire Bros BBQ, and an iced mocha from Sunshine Coffee Roasters), as well as ample covered seating with tables, hay bales in front of the stage, free wifi, and multiple restroom areas with minimal waits at the porta potties. Parking and traffic was easy, and the crowds were much larger in the afternoon (after the rain subsided on Saturday and the sun came out), but it never felt overcrowded or uncomfortable. Lots of adorable well-behaved dogs too. Overall it was a well-organized and thoughtfully planned family-friendly (and pet-friendly) event, at a lovely location along the water, and we had a lot of fun.

Sonoma Coastal Winery was a fun stop on our girls' wine trip! I had never been before, but my…read morefriends kept talking about a wonderful employee named Jeremy from a previous visit to Banshee winery. Imagine our surprise when we walked into the tasting room and there was Jeremy! The girls were thrilled to see him again. We had a 2:00 PM tasting appointment, and Michael was our host. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience enjoyable from start to finish. Jeremy had sold my friends a wine trivia game on their last trip, so naturally we brought it along and played while tasting. We actually played wine trivia in the car and at a few other wineries throughout our adventure, which made the trip even more memorable. The wines were delicious, and the winery has a warm, cozy atmosphere. The patio offers beautiful bay views, and even the bathrooms are charmingly decorated with thoughtful touches. One of my favorite finds was their unique champagne flutes. When you pour bubbly into them, the bubbles swirl like a tiny tornado inside the glass. It's a fun novelty and would be a great conversation piece for entertaining guests at home. Between the great wine, welcoming staff, beautiful views, and fun memories with friends, SCV Winery was definitely a highlight of our trip. We would happily visit again!
