We had to evacuate from hurricane Milton. Connie took care of our 4 cats while we stayed at a nearby hotel. The kennels were fairly roomy and quiet, since there are no dogs barking, etc. Connie lets each cat out for a little bit so they aren't confined all of the time. The quiet atmosphere is definitely good to keep the cats from getting more stressed out than they already are after a long drive. We would board them there again if we have to evacuate in the future. read more

I was so happy to find this kennel on Yelp. I needed a place to board three cats while my house was tented. Connie was such a pleasure to coordinate with especially since i really couldn't confirm drop off and pick up times that had to revolve around the fumigators. She had plenty of spacious kennel spaces, which was a plus because of course my three cats don't get along with each other and would not be able to share a space. Her prices were reasonable and I really felt that my cats would be taken care of here. I was especially happy that this was a cat only kennel as I didn't want my cat to be under any additional stress. No easy to find a cat only kennel and I hope that Connie continues to run her kennel for years to come. read more

We had to quickly find boarding at the last minute for our two cats for the Thanksgiving holiday. I called Jean, who was extremely sweet and helpful. Love her. It was $10 per cat per section per day. You provide your own food/treats/comforts (one of our cats, we left his stuffed bear). The kennel was clean and the sections were clean, split-level, each 4x4x4. Each section had a clean rest pillow and food/water dish. To save us money, she tried to keep both cats, but eventually had to separate them, which we did anticipate and agree to in advance. Great if you can't have a sitter for your cats at home. Love Ms. Jean! read more

I really can't recommend Jean's Cats Only Kennel enough! It's the only place my cats will ever board in south Florida!

This place saved our lives. My husband and I were scrambling because we had literally just walked out of our previous cat boarding arrangements because the lady was nasty to us. We called Jean's Cats Only Kennel and talked to Connie, who is Jean's daughter. This place is a mom and daughter run operation with a cattery directly attached to their house - meaning there is someone there 24/7. Not only were they extremely accommodating to our frenzied and last minute drop in, the second we met Connie, we knew that our cat would be well taken care of. You could tell that she was a very sweet, cat-loving person. She was able to take him an hour after we called and had his kennel set up and ready. She was also able to work around our flight schedule on Sunday and accommodated our pick up time request. Believe it or not, this was one of the most difficult things to set up when we were calling around because it was a Sunday and it was Mother's Day. Many other boarding places were giving us a 1 hour window to pick up that did not work with our flight schedule - we did not want him in the carrier longer than he needed to be. She also did a great job at texting us daily updates on how he was doing and sent us pictures of our cat! We are so grateful we found her and want to emphasize how great she was with us and with our cat. read more

Contacted them through text over the weekend then called and left a voicemail when I didn't hear back the next day and still was never contacted. I was super excited to try this place out because I'm in the process of moving and I needed an emergency boarding for my cat. extremely disappointed especially after reading all the good reviews. so many people are saying that they got contacted immediately and that they were super accommodating but I don't know how that is. Tried to even use their webpage but even that no longer exists apparently. Even if they weren't able to take him in because of scheduling or whatever it would've been nice to at least been told rather than ignored all together so I know to look elsewhere. read more

I have used Jean's Cats Only Kennel for approximately 7 years now maybe even longer. When I leave my cats with Jean and Connie I know they will be treated as if they were theirs. The kennels are roomy and clean not like other places that keep them in cages. They are allowed out of the kennels individually daily so they are not confined 24/7. I highly recommend Jean's Cats Only Kennel to anyone who want their cats to feel at home when boarded and so does Symba and Phoebe. read more

I did a lot of research before choosing a place to board my cat. It was only 2 days, but my building was being fumigated and I had no other alternative. I checked out 6 places within 30 miles of me, ranging from luxury hotels with Hawaiian suites to places where they admitted that they really concentrate on dogs. Jean's was a half hour drive, but worth it. I brought his food and bedding since I knew he would be very unhappy (Johnnie Depp detests other cats), and she brought individual attention and care. Connie texted me daily pictures and status updates. The facilities are as advertised, not luxurious but comfortable. She scritched and talked to him every day. She insisted on no tip and charged $38 for the two days. Very happy. read more

I can't even begin to express what an absolute joy Connie is. She runs the kennel out of her home in an air conditioned portion of her home where she has a few cat trees, bins upon bins of toys & very clean, spacious kennels, and only accepts payment on pickup day. If you ask to see the space prior to drop off, she's more than happy to show you around & explain what a day in the kennel looks like. Cats have regular access to food and water, they all get a turn to roam outside the kennels and lounge about the space, and she even has them take turns one at a time spending the night outside the kennels as well! I was so very pleased with her vast knowledge, attentiveness to my 6mo old kitten, Akira, and willingness to ensure you're at ease. I asked that she send me a few photos of Akira so I could see how she liked the place and my expectations were exceeded w videos and at least a few pictures. Connie was more than accommodating, she provides the litter (pans get cleaned every day), food and water. You just bring some information (vaccination records, age, emergency contact, etc) and your kitty! Upon pick up, Akira met me at the door looking content and happy as ever, and Connie gave me lots of notes regarding what sorts of toys she liked to play with and even noticed things that I as her owner thought I'd only be able to pick up on. Connie's mother ran this kennel for many years before she herself took over so you know that she's been around felines all her life and genuinely expresses her love for each one in her care. I felt very confident leaving Akira in her care after dealing with another boarding facility prior to finding Connie, where Akira was not being given water more than once a day (she drinking lots, obviously she needs water more than once a day!). This woman is, in the absolute, best way possible, a crazy cat lady- crazy about happy kitties and crazy about a happy human. Cats come first at Jean's Cats Only Kennel. I will never bring my girl anywhere else for as long as this establishment exists & I reside in FL. I plan to leave Akira with her new favorite auntie come Thanksgiving when I go to visit my family up north. Overall very very very satisfied with this company. Thank you, Connie! read more

Jean is a wonderful lady who is a former breeder, and has been taking care of my cat for an extended amount of time. The "cattery" is a comfortable and sanitary area that is attached to or a part of her house, and she keeps rotations for the cats to come out of their kennel to roam around, taking turns. I think her rates are very reasonable and her place is a good alternative to having a cat sitter when you go out of town. I met someone dropping off her cat for a long weekend and she said she is a repeater client. We agreed that it's lucky to have found Jean, who has our trust in taking care of our cats. read more
