Travelled almost an hour while on vacation to get to this place, but it was worth it to see the kitties. All of the volunteers there are very sweet and you can tell they really care about the cats. The space was really well used even though it was small. I don't know if I would call this a café, it is more of a cat lounge with some drinks for purchase. They don't charge for admission but we were able to donate and they were very grateful. We spent about an hour here and it got pretty crowded which was really nice. This is such a sweet little place! My daughter and I were looking for some cat snuggles, so I looked up cat cafes and this is the only place that showed up. They have a simple and cute setup for these adorable group of cats. They are well loved, have lots of toys with which visitors can help play with, and a small offering of simple snacks and drinks that all go toward the care of the cats. So cute! The kitties are adorable and so friendly. If I didn't already have 3 cats I would have taken one home with us. The place is upstairs and split into 2 rooms. They have a kitten room and a room for the older kitties. Plenty of cat toys to play with and a comfy spot to play with cute furries. We took our son and his friend and had a ball! It's free to go but donations are welcome and you can buy small snacks but it's really less of a "cafe" and more of a place to visit and play with cats (and hopefully adopt one or two). This cat cafe is no normal one, it is in fact a special place where the cat's have a loving home. The place is very vibrant and modern and is a place anyone can call home. I have gone to the cat cafe several times and it is amazing! The people there are also very nice and treat the cats very well. In the adult room, the cats have a nice big wheel, a scratcher, a little cat tree, and all of the necessities needed. In the kitten room, of course they have them too. There is a room in the back where I have learned cats stay in to get used to the others behind a window. It's not only that but is also a sanctuary for cats who need help with their health. It's not the cafe that causes this, but it is something the cats were born with or happened to them that made them like that. They are currently taking care of a cat named Sally in there who will eventually become blind and is slowly losing her sight. I'm surprised about how good they are with her. They help her find her food, necessities, etc. It's amazing. They are trying to make sure she gets through this harsh part of her life. Anyways, the cats are also very good with humans and probably other animals too. They are potty trained and neutered, spayed, etc. They are funny to watch in their daily shenanigans and even while napping. OK I am biased because I currently volunteer and foster for Lady Luck Animal Rescue but I signed up after visiting and loving the cat cafe. As other reviews have pointed out, it's not really a cafe setting but they do sell snacks, drinks, t-shirts etc. You're really coming here to hang out with and love on the cats and kittens and hopefully adopt one if you're in the market for a new furry friend. But even if you're not, there's no hard sell and everyone is welcome to come play with the kitties. Unlike other cat cafes, Good Luck doesn't charge visitors. So if you do stop by be sure to drop a few bucks in the donation box or buy something. This organization takes in and adopts out hundreds of cats every year, getting them fixed, vaccinated and any other necessary medical care. I've been visiting these cats and kitties since the boomerang days. Great spot to hang out and pet the cats until your heart is content. The staff is wonderful and the new location is great for the cats. They have a kitten room and an adult side. I love this place and the work they do. It's a wonderful atmosphere to interact with the kitties and relax with a cup of coffee. Being nonprofit and staffed with hard working dedicated volunteers it really hurts me to give Good Luck Cat Café less than a Five Star rating, but I'm rating it as what it publically purports to be, which is a café and as such they offer drink and food. However, a café it is not. It's a shelter for wayward stray abandoned street cats. It doesn't even have a food license, at least not that I saw posted, but if it did I'm sure Broward Health would close it down immediately. Then, that would be upon first glance as there would be no necessity of bothering with a formal or follow up inspection. As a café, it's a rather hilarious joke. The menu really doesn't offer any honest food, just Gatorade, water, Kind Bars (whatever they are), coffee, etc. at suggested donation prices. When entering they encourage you to clean your hands with that pump jar alcohol stuff, which of all things is to allegedly protect the cats from diseases you may be carrying. Being a 73 year old male of fragile health I think I have far more to worry about picking up something from the cats than the cats picking up something from me. That is unless old age male prostate problems and mental dementia are considered transmissible. If you love cats, which I actually do, and enjoy being around them, this is the place for you. In fact I'd rate it five stars. But if you want to go to a café, stay away, it's not a café and it's not for you. Yes, I can catch the drift that it is a café for cats, not for people or as they say "cat café" but I'm an old sourpuss (pun fully intended) when it comes to food and cafes. I just don't think they should hold this place out as serving anything or even lay claim to being a "themed café," unless maybe "cafe for petting cats." But now after all that ranting and clearly what should be a one star "Eek me thinks not," I just can't bring myself to do it. What better to do on a rainy day than spend it indoors with cuddly cats?! This cat cafe isn't really a cafe - mostly just a sitting room for cats. So, if you're looking for a cafe vibe, this might not be for you. BUT, if you love cats, then this is for you. This cafe is on the second floor of a building with no elevator, so be aware of that. There is plenty of free street parking. To visit, you can call them directly to make an appt (at the time of this review, there was no online reservation system) or simply show up. At the time of this review, only 4 guests are allowed in at a time, so if there is no one there, you can enjoy the cats. Otherwise, you will have to wait until people leave. Appts get priority, and you only need to make an appt a few days in advance. The place is a bit small - only 8 cats, but that was more than enough for me. This place is 100% volunteer run and runs on donations. There is no set amount per hour. Cash and card accepted. Mask policy strictly enforced. Hand sanitizer is everywhere here. I would recommend spending a few hours here to play with the kittens and cats. You get to feed them, play with them, and cuddle them if permitted :D Would highly recommend. read more

I was driving around looking for a cafe to sit and enjoy a coffee and discovered that we have a cat cafe in South Florida! It's free to enter but they do accept donations which I do encourage because the owner uses it towards the cats. You can tell that she genuinely loves animals and takes really good care of the kitties and tries to find them homes. First off, let me say; this is not a cat cafe. At least not like what you're thinking. This is not a coffee shop that allows cats to roam around while you answer your emails and sip your lattes. This is not like the cat cafes you've seen in New York City and Taiwan. If you go in understanding that, you're not going to be disappointed at all. This is a shelter, their goal is to get you to adopt one of their cats. Locating this place can be kind of confusing, the directions are going to take you to a thrift store, this is correct. The cat cafe is located in a small room at the back lefthand side of the store. Make sure you use their sanitizer before entering. Inside this room are a few tables with chairs and a couch, I personally just sat on the floor, so the cats could get comfortable with me. There were about 10 running around when I got there. Some sleeping. One drinking out of the faucet. Anther playing in a box that said cat lady. It was overwhelmingly exciting. All are friendly. None of them were fighting with each other. I was so surprised at how well this worked. They offer snacks and k-cups for sale, so the cafe part isn't such a lie. There are one or two employees in the room at all times, mostly just hanging out, you may not even notice that they work there. But they are friendly and knowledgeable about every cat. And will answer all of your questions. They let you take all the photos you want, and encourage you to post and tag them on Instagram. Definitely will be going back. It's such a nice time.
