The service was amazing, the people here are really friendly and patient with first timers. They answered all of my questions about the menu. You can tell this place is good because there was a line outside the door when we arrived. Inside it's the typical deli/ began shop. A lot of options. The bagel I had was the rainbow bagel with the birthday cake creamcheese. It tasted like a cupcake. The bagel was so fresh and soft in the inside. It melted in your mouth. Stopped into LIBC for a Sausage, Egg, & Cheese on an Everything Bagel. The breakfast sandwich was great! Eggs were cooked nicely and the bagel was soft and tasty. The line moved fast and so did the food after ordering. With it being busy you will see why. I had a beacon egg and cheese bagel and you can taste how good the bagel is with some crispy thick beacon and made with real eggs and great cheese. Ughhh, this is such a tough review to write. We have been coming here since they opened. We have seen all of the different faces and phases of the business. We have purchased everything from coffee, to cold cuts, bagels to soup, parfaits to muffins, iced tea to salads and of course, the bagels. After many years, we now only go for the bagels. The reasons are simple; the prices, the customer service (or lack thereof), and the hit or miss on other food not being good and/or prepared properly. The prices are very high. They charge for everything, sometimes twice, sometimes incorrectly, sometimes not the same as the last time you went and ordered the same thing...so ask for an itemized receipt. The people who work here are just getting paid to service the customers. That's it. No "good morning", no "have a nice day", just "NEXT" and a pad down on the counter to scribble what you want to eat. They don't smile. They're miserable looking, sometimes sweaty and talking amongst themselves the entire time they are preparing food, in turn, not paying attention to what they are doing. I have had a taste of almost everything they've had to offer. I will say I used to love their classic chicken salad which consisted of big chunks of white meat chicken with mayo. No celery. No seasonings. Just basic. It was my go to. Until one day I ordered it and it was sour. I called to let them know and they said "thanks for letting us know" and hung up! It's happened with the egg salad too. I can't risk ordering them again at the prices they charge. The egg white spinach salad and the egg white, spinach & tuna salad are good. Nothing else in the case wows me. I once ordered cold cuts to save me a trip to the market. I got it home and it smelled awful. Learned my lesson there. Bacon is the already cooked kind that gets warmed up on the flat top when you order it. Never crispy. The baked goods are ok. I don't know who makes them, but never an issue. The iced coffee and iced tea come out of a machine. The hot coffee is at its best in the morning when busy. The bagels. They are perfectly chewy, big pieces of heaven. I have had bagels all over New York but these are it for me. So I put up with everything else, just for the bagels. They have specials on the wall like buy 6 get six on a certain day. They freeze well. I suggest getting the bagels and making your own sandwiches at home. This place is on the corner of a strip mall. Parking shared with other businesses. Prepare for a line on the weekends. Some tables inside to sit and eat. All stars are for the bagels. And now I want one! read more

I'd rather go to the handy pantry to get my lunch than this deli for the rest of my life. ....Other than a tomato being on my Caesar salad wrap that I never asked for .., it really was the customer service that threw me for a loop. Everything was sunshine and roses until a guy behind the counter commented on my shirt that said "be the person your dog thinks you are" and proceeded to ask if he could see a picture of my dogs so I show them a picture of my dogs and Without hesitation, someone from behind the counter, says where are the nudes? ......... I turned my head to see about five more people behind the counter, looking at my phone. Then the same guy who commented on my shirt, asked me how old I was proceeded by a taller old man asking me how old I thought he was. as I'm walking out of the deli, trying to shake off that disturbing comment I hear laughter from the workers in the deli behind me. Not only is that super embarrassing for a customer. It is uncomfortable and inappropriate. All I really wanted was my Caesar wrap. The only time I will be ever stepping into this deli it will be with my husband, and the only person I will be talking to is the manager. read more

I'm only reviewing from a delivery standpoint here. Ordered a novalicious sandwich on an everything bagel and an iced coffee (to go!). Everything was surprisingly packed nice. The sandwich nicely displayed, with a pickle, some macaroni salad on the side. The sandwich is stacked, with scallion creamcheese, lox, onions, tomatoes and cucumbers. Very very filling and very tasty. However I am docking a star for that travesty of an everything bagel. The texture was on point, but I could literally count each individual spec of seasoning and seeds on there. There was that little. The macaroni salad itself, love it. Classic macaroni salad that's creamy with some crunchy vegs mixed about. I did like the combination of pasta types though, made the salad not so standard. Overall, it was a good place to me! Tucked in a strip mall, this Bagel shop was our regular go-to while living in the area. Can't speak to anything other than the bagels and cream cheese, but the bagels were always dependably good (but never great). There's seating inside as well as some picnic tables out on the sidewalk. Went to get some brunch egg sandwiches on a Sunday around 11:45am, we ordered two sausage egg and cheese sandwiches only to have the guy who took our order come back after starting to make them to tell us they didn't have any sausage. How a breakfast spot runs out of sausage is beyond me but we got our sandwiches with just egg and cheese because the were already in the process of being made. We decided to stay and eat so that we could enjoy our eggs hot but that was not the case, both sandwiches were barely warm. The cheese wasn't even melted. Not to mention trying to find a clean table to sit at was impossible.. every single table was dirty as were the benches. Not to mention several bugs crawling around the floor. Completely unsanitary. The food is not bad - but what a rip-off in pricing and the place was a mess with disinterested employees.

I walked into an empty deli at 2pm and stood there for 5 minutes before someone asked if I needed anything, clearly annoyed that I even walked into the building. The employee slams her notepad down to start writing the order, literally huffing & puffing, clearly agitated because I ordered 2 sandwiches. I told her to cancel the whole order & walked out. I've been coming to this place for over 8 years, the attitudes were always a problem but this was the final straw for me. Today was the final straw. These people can't run a business, fully half the time I've been there in the past 3 years they miss the mark on orders completely. There is no reason for anyone to frequent this business. My family has supported the owner with our business for the past 15 years, no more. I've been a customer of this Bagel place for years as a Nesconset resident. If they are going to charge $30 for 2 Bagels with Tuna, it would be nice if my wife and I didn't need to throw out the bottom half of the Bagel as it was too hard to consider food. If my German made knives had a tough time cutting through it (Of course they didn't cut it all the way through) than it is too hard. If your quality matched your prices I wouldn't have anything to complain about as it was my choice to buy them once I was told the ridiculous price. read more

Not only did it take more than 20 minutes to receive my very small order of an egg bagel with butter, I also received an attitude by an older grayed hair gentlemen who did not wear his mask. And when I had a question about what time they closed today, he answered with a very rude and unwelcoming ''WHAT?!'' Also, when I looked in the bag when I got home, the order was completely messed up. It was a rock hard whole wheat bagel with cream cheese. I have been going here for years and it's by far the best chicken salad on Long Island. Will always drive 40 minutes to the Nesconset one always even after trying other locations it's just not the same. Today, the woman behind the counter was so unbelievably rude, I was shocked. No line or anything and I was just a little confused on what she was writing and wanted to make sure we were both on the same page. She proceeded to shout What at me and ask me if I wanted anything else as I was mid speaking my order. I confirmed with her on my order and she proceeded to rudely say back I know, as if it was a bother for me to confirm the order rather than have her do extra work in the end. The attitude towards happy paying customers that just wanted to avoid any confusion was unnecessary and frankly just upsetting. Needless to say, I will still always come back for my favorite cranberry chicken salad but it was saddening to be treated so horribly. This chicken salad is my comfort food and after a few rough days I was looking forward to a great experience but left upset.
