Bacan and egg bagel, with scallion cream cheese and lox.
    Allen C.

Great spot for a quick bagel at okay prices. Came here a few times for to-go breakfasts. Will definitely come back in the future if I'm nearby and need a quick breakfast. A solid go-to place that businesses get bagels for morning meetings. Service was great with good recommendations. Speedy with service. Got their bacon and egg bagels with lox and scallio. cream cheese. Had a deal where you get a drink, pickle, and side salad (got the mac side salad) for ~$13. Bagel was solid, good taste and a decent amount of cream cheese as well as lox. Mac salad and side ice tea were pretty good as well!

    Badly cut sunflower seed bagel

Who cuts a bagel like this? How is one side paper thin? I ordered a well toasted sunflower seed bagel with butter. I got this barely toasted terribly cut bagel. Would not recommend

    Gluten free wrap: Boone

I stopped by this bagel shop despite having bad reviews I thought to myself how bad could it be? I have a gluten allergy and it's hard to find gluten free options anywhere but their website listed "gluten free options" so I gave it a try. I ordered the "boone" on a gluten free wrap and a gluten free cinnamon raisin bagel. OMG BOTH WERE SOOO GOOD! This probably has to be the best bagel I've ever tried. The wrap was also very good. I left with a happy tummy :) very good service everyone was smiling and they have a very nice playlist going on. Definitely worth a try. Everyone else's reviews were bogus.

Long line Saturday morning, good sign

They need a better toaster, it only toasts one side so it's not really toasted. I have said "well done" every time and it hasn't happened. Toasted means crunchy. Super long lines, because they process slowly so be prepared to wait. They need an express line for easy stuff like bagels and coffee as most people order elaborate stuff. Tasty though, good fresh bagels. Lite veggie cream cheese is good too. Better than Bagel Cafe down the road too. But not nearly as good as Bagel Express on 25A. They are kings!

It's what George Washington hoped for when he crossed the Delaware. It's what Qin Shi Huangdi believed would come when he unified China. It's what Moses split the Red Sea for. If aliens really existed, they'd be spotted here. If I ate one a day I'd gain 2 pounds a day and that's fine. I wouldn't care. 400 lbs? Ok. Bring it on, I say. Don't test me. The Steven Matz. The Boone. The list goes on and on. The amount of underwear I've gone through from ordering the Gasm. Worth it. The M&M cookies on the counter that look at me as if I'm the newest bombshell on the island... oggling and boggling baby. The rumor is these guys churn out millions of cutlets a year. As a poor young man(not that my circumstances have changed) I used to save up my measly funds for just one sandwich on the weekend. It would consume me all week and then I'd consume it in mere minutes. Every time me and my rapscallion crew would come we'd be certain that we'd eat half there and then eat the half later or save the rest for the week. Others had self control to stick to the plan. But I did not. And I'm proud of that. I'm proud of the man I've become. But not proud enough. For one day... one day... I'll go to Se-Port and I'll order The Linguini B. Persuasion to persuade. Lust to lunge for. Sandwiches to feast on. The glory of Se-Port. I live a tender distance from this master factory of a deli; however, it's one of the few pieces in this world worth traveling a ridonk distance for. One day, my love. One day, again, as we had it before. You and me, on the water, whisking the waves with the palms our feet. Our luscious hair sweeping the wind. Stopping time with the strength of our shared gazes. Our hands interlocked, just like our shared destinies. Yours tenderly and truthfully - LB.

They serve hot food as well as standard sandwiches and they stuff the sandwiches quite a bit, almost too much. The service at the counter is always friendly when they take my order. The issue is, they are extremely overpriced. A bologna sandwich on a simple roll and a seltzer should not be approximately $20. The chicken cutlets are microwaved when they are ordered and they just aren't good and they are very pricy. Also, they don't sell drinks in cans, which would be a bit cheaper because a bottle of soda for $4 is just not fair. If you want a standard deli sandwich, at a reasonable price, I'd try a different deli in the area.

The kind of place you just don't find anywhere else, especially not back home in Virginia Beach. The inviting feel when you walk in, the regulars chatting up the staff, the air filled with the wonderful smells of fresh bacon, baked bagels, and savory spices. For my order, I went with a classic sesame bagel with cream cheese. It was absolutely fantastic. Soft on the inside, perfectly chewy, and the cream cheese was delicious. My dad was craving something a little different, so he got a BLT with chipotle mayo and avocado on toast. He raved about it the entire meal, saying it was one of the best BLTs he's ever had. It came with macaroni salad and a pickle (which I obviously stole from him). Even though this was my first time at Bagel Express, since I'm not local to Setauket, the whole experience was great. The quality, service, and authentic deli experience are definitely worth a stop. I'm already looking forward to coming back the next time I'm in town. If you're anywhere near East Setauket or just passing through, don't miss out on this spot!

They have an easy to use online system which I highly recommend because the inside of the store is a little chaotic. Even when you order online, you have to push your way to the front and get someone's attention for your order, because the pickup window for online and phone orders is the same as pickup for in store orders. Don't love the slightly high stress pickup process, but the sandwiches are totally worth it. Service is friendly enough, and they have a ton of lunch options in addition to bagels. GREAT bagels!

I called around 1:30 PM to place an order for three sandwiches, a macaroni salad, and mayonnaise on the side. They close at 3:00 PM, so there was plenty of time to prepare the order. The person who answered the phone was not particularly friendly, which was disappointing from the start. I arrived before closing and, while sitting in my car, checked the order and realized the mayonnaise was missing. I went back inside to ask for it. When I got home--less than five minutes away--I realized the macaroni salad was also missing. I called the deli and asked about it. When I asked if I had been charged for it, I was told, "If it wasn't on the receipt, we didn't charge you." That completely missed the point. I had ordered the macaroni salad and needed it. At no point was I offered the option to come back and pick it up or given any effort to make the situation right. Then, while looking over the receipt, I noticed that one of the sandwiches also did not have the cheese I had specifically ordered. At that point, I had to go to my local grocery store and buy sliced cheese to fix the sandwich myself. So, in one order, I was missing the mayonnaise, missing the macaroni salad, and missing an ingredient I had specifically ordered on one of the sandwiches. More frustrating than the mistakes was the lack of customer service when I called to address them. I understand that mistakes happen, but how a business handles those mistakes matters. Unfortunately, this experience was frustrating from beginning to end. These are new owners, and based on this experience, I won't be going back.
