I can honestly say this dental practice is the absolute best. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warmth, positivity, and genuine kindness. The entire team is upbeat, friendly, and truly makes you feel comfortable every step of the way. What I appreciate most is how they work with you--never rushed, always patient, and incredibly gentle. I've never had a painful experience here, which says a lot! They go above and beyond to make sure your needs are met with the utmost care and professionalism. My immediate family and my mom all come here as well, and we've consistently had amazing experiences. It really feels like they care about their patients, not just as clients, but as people. Despite the terrible reviews, we gave this dentist a shot because of proximity. The hygienists were friendly but the front office is a different story. On more than one occasion, they have messed up my appointment times and not cancelled appointments that I requested to cancel in a timely manner. The last straw was messing up my appointment by scheduling a 1:30 instead of the 2:30 i wrote down. My husband is not home from work to take care of our son at that time so I would never schedule a 1:30. My rescheduled appointment i called and asked if they wanted me to come even though i had a sore throat and instead of explaining to me they would charge me for rescheduling she just made a new appointment and sent me a bill. I've referred 4 people to this office and you've lost all of our business over a petty $50 charge. Sometimes you should treat people as human and not cut your nose off to spite your face. I came in needing a deep cleaning. I was told to do a 2 week rinse to get the scaling for a deep cleaning. I asked her to numb be to do what she needed to do. She was very rude and short. This was for insurance. I asked to pay cash and not use my insurance bc it's the end of the year and I need to get it done. They gave me the run around. Told me they had to go in another patient's file to get the price. (Why did I need to know that) I paid for the X-rays and I'm sitting at the new dentist numbed up and about to get my deep cleaning. This place made me feel very uncomfortable. I felt like it was very militant. Walking room to room and it wasn't personal. Please consider somewhere that is not treating you like a assembly line. HYGIENIST WAS NOT COMFORTING. Acting like my gums were bothering her. Mam that's why I'm here at the dentist. And the front desk girl Brittany took over a hour to send my X-rays All in all I was able to get numbed and I'm about to get my deep cleaning. This dentist recommended braces for my child knowing she had cavities. Secondly, my minor child called to get information from them and they willingly provided information to her without my content. When I confronted (Holly) about it, she dared to say I should have told my child why her appointment was changed....for the records, I do not have to tell my child anything. I was not in their position to provide her with any information. I told them that I no longer wanted their services, and now I'm in the process of getting refunded...which I had to call my back to get refunded because they want to take me through changes. read more

Let me begin by saying that I have been a patient at this practice since they opened, so for nearly 24 years. I used to be very pleased with them, but over the past few years, the level of service and care has plummeted. I have recently come to find out that Dr. Williams, who had always been my dentist, now sees only orthodontic patients and he no longer owns the practice. I was never informed of either of these things until the past few weeks when I had to contact the office about substandard dental work I received ftom Dr. Hurd. In July, I saw Dr. Hurd, who is apparently the only dentist doing the regular dental work, to have a filling placed in a sensitive tooth. I was not informed when I made the appointment that he would be doing the work. If I had, I would have gone elsewhere. He managed to spill bonding agent all over my tooth, making it impossible to get dental floss between two teeth. He actually asked me how long I had been unable to floss between those teeth. (Only since he spilled the bonding agent all over my teeth.) After several painful minutes of him scraping at my tooth, he shoved some sort of wedge down into my gum line to force a threader between my teeth. This was also extremely painful. He pulled so aggressively at the floss, it felt like my tooth was being extracted. Since that day, I not only still have a sensitive tooth, but I now also have a deep pit in my tooth that collects food (This never happened before.), severe jaw pain that reaches into my neck, and am unable to floss between my teeth without the floss getting caught underneath the tooth (also something that never happened before). The practice said that Dr. Hurd would look at and possibly redo the work if I came in, but there is no way I am ever letting him touch my mouth again, as he was also the same dentist who did an urgent repair of a chipped tooth I had a few years ago in which I had to go back to have him adjust the first botched repair. For over a month and a half, I reached out several times asking for Dr. Williams, who I thought was my dentist, to call me back. He never did. I have no idea if he even received the messages. I cannot have the work redone at another practice until a grievance is settled through my insurance company. The practice finally agreed to refund my copay amount, but I still have to wait for the grievance to finalize. This was only offered after I mentioned filing a complaint with the State Dental Board. Needless to say, my family and I will be having any future dental work done elsewhere. read more

Jeff Davis Dental was disappointing! A simple procedure of replacing a cracked crown turned into 3 months of tooth pain & temperature sensitivity. Dr. Heard had me come in. He used fluoride varnish around my tooth & said come back in 2 weeks. Came back, he repeated with fluoride varnish & said come back in 2 weeks. I not only had these problems with the temporary but also with the permanent crown. I also have a gap in between my teeth which is a food trap & causes my gums to be inflamed. The crown was not set properly. I called the office for help for over a week. Left 3 voicemails & a message on his website. No one picked up. I am at another office with another dentist who has given me great help & also had to see a specialist because my tooth problems had progressively gotten worse. I paid Dr. Heard $1100. If this office was professional & ethical, they would have refunded my money. I would not in good conscience ever recommend this office or Dr. Heard. read more

Excellent dental services, from reception to hygienists to the dentists, all were very professional, did their best to make you comfortable. Dr. Heard was excellent at my tooth extraction, very minimal pain, very happy that he is my dentist, Amy excellent as well assisting. Heather is the best as my dental hygienist, no stress with her dental cleaning. Thankful for her recommendations on my dental care. Reception was very helpful, very accommodating, friendly, kudos to Shelley, Holly and the others. Always enjoy seeing Dr. Williams and his expert care. Wrote a lengthy review about the unprofessional-ism of this office and surprise, it disappeared.. I had a 9:20 appointment for a cleaning and I arrived before that time. At 9:45 I told the front desk that I would have to reschedule. I had a 11:00 appointment across town and didn't want to be late. While I was waiting they had me sign some paperwork stating that if I didn't cancel my appointment without 24 hours notice, there would be a $50. charge. When the girl behind the desk said they had a dental emergency. I said I was not going to see the doctor, just the hygienist. It just a cleaning. For the life of me I can not think of any emergency that a hygienist could have other then double booking or not getting to work on time. I can understand the dentist could have an emergency, what with someone having a broken tooth or crown fall out. But the hygienist?? I can understand the office being backed up if people are late for their appointments, and agree that they should be rescheduled. I pride myself on being on time. I make my appointments early in the day and 3 months in advance. This is not a walk-in or no appointment situation. The girl said that could see me tomorrow at 9:20 which would be Wednesday. Which I was good with. I have been seeing this dental group for about 5 years, 4 times a year. My last cleaning the hygienist was 45 minutes behind at 9:20 am. I said I would see them tomorrow. While driving to my next appointment I get a call from some snippy wench, that says if I have such a time restraint, that I could not wait for the office to get to me. that I should just take my business elsewhere. Upon writing my review yesterday, I read where Dr. Williams gives that long story how when people are running late for their appointment, it back up the office all day. And other patients get annoyed and angry. I could not agree more. But shouldn't that work both ways?? Why should I have to late for my other appointments because his office can't get it together. I have no problem finding a new dental group. But his staff needs to have some classes on working with the public. After all with out customers they would not a have a job. And to the snippy young woman that called me. If you don't like your job, do yourself a favor and change jobs. I would be a same to stay in a profession where you must work with thew public for the rest of your working life. I don't expect this review to stay on line any longer than the one from yesterday. Nice office but good luck getting an appointment. Office is closed on Mondays and hours are 0830-4:30. Seems like lunch hours are lengthy too. I have an appointment at 2pm and the office door is locked so I'm waiting outside in the pollen and heat. At least they have a porch. Thinking about switching to another service. UPDATE (August 2016) - reduced to 2 stars; here's why: Dr. Williams cancelled me as a patient (after many years) because I left the review in March above without approaching the team before leaving feedback. First, I gave overall service 3 stars which is not bad; the hygienic staff and Dr. Asher are quite good. Second, I was disappointed in this visit because the office was not open past my appointment time, leaving me and others waiting outside in the pollen (count that day was 2402). We are in Georgia after all. I was not the only patient inconvenienced that day. Office excuse: "we were in a meeting" and no apology. So a 3-star rating seemed appropriate. Instead of an apology, I receive belated "concern" in a letter months later cancelling me as a patient and chastising me for my review. "I wish you had voiced your complaint with me before going public" and "filling out a post appointment survey", Dr. Williams wrote. Alas, I have no problem finding another dentist for myself and entire family. I was the only one in my clan that wanted to stay with this practice anyway. But I was kicked off the island in retribution and my family will not be disappointed. Thanks, Dr. Williams, all I needed was a push.
