I have been a patient of Dr. Angarella for many years, and my wife is also a patient of his practice. Throughout those years, I have remained loyal to the practice even as the office moved farther away from my home, from Rancho Santa Margarita to San Juan Capistrano and now to Westminster. Unfortunately, my experience on June 16, 2026, left me extremely disappointed. I scheduled my appointment approximately three weeks in advance. My appointment was at 1:45 PM, and due to severe traffic and multiple accidents on the 405 freeway, I arrived at approximately 2:00 PM. While driving, I attempted to call the office to let them know I would be a few minutes late. Unfortunately, patients can no longer call the office directly. Instead, calls go through a central dispatch system, and messages are relayed to the nurse or doctor, often with a 24- to 48-hour delay. As a result, there was no practical way for me to notify the office that I was running late. When I arrived, I checked in and was immediately told that I had been marked as a no-show because I was 15 minutes late. I asked what the grace period was and was told it was 15 minutes. I explained that I had driven over an hour to get there and that my delay was caused by circumstances beyond my control. My appointment was simply for a diabetic foot examination so I could receive a referral for diabetic shoes. These visits are typically very brief. I remove my shoes and socks, the doctor examines my feet, and the referral is submitted. I asked if there was any way I could still be seen. The receptionist said there was nothing she could do. Orlando, the nurse who has known me for many years and has often been the intermediary between Dr. Angarella and me, spoke with the doctor on my behalf. I respectfully explained my situation and asked if any accommodation could be made. I even offered to wait until the end of the day and be seen after all other patients had finished their appointments. After several conversations with the doctor, I was repeatedly told that nothing could be done and that I would have to reschedule. What disappointed me most was not the office policy itself, but the complete lack of flexibility and consideration for a long-time patient. During all the years I have been coming to this office, I have consistently arrived 10 to 15 minutes early for my appointments. This was the one time I was late, due to heavy traffic and accidents on the freeway. Despite my loyalty, my efforts to make the appointment, and my willingness to wait as long as necessary, no accommodation whatsoever was offered. Patients are often asked to wait 15, 20, 30, or even 45 minutes beyond their scheduled appointment times. Yet when I arrived only 15 minutes late for a very brief visit, after driving more than an hour, I was turned away without any attempt to work with me. I understand that medical offices need policies and schedules. However, I believe that good patient care also includes common sense, compassion, and consideration for long-term patients. After many years of loyalty to this practice, I left feeling frustrated, disappointed, and unappreciated. Unfortunately, this experience has caused me to seriously reconsider whether I want to continue receiving care from this practice. read more

Terrible bedside manner, refused to remove my college-aged son's ingrown toenail because he "wasn't set up for it" but that we should have "messaged him through MyChart" to tell him what the appointment was for, even though we wrote the reason for the appt was "removal of ingrown toenail". Had to send a shy kid who is terrified of needles back to college today without any medical treatment of a very painful, infected ingrown toenail. read more

Had bunionectomy more than a year ago. I could tell that it was not as successful & confirmed via x-ray, but Dr. Angarola did not want to take any responsibility for it & kept dismissing my concerns & referring me to physical therapy. After multiple physical therapy sessions, I visited an out-of-pocket podiatrist to address my pain & discomfort. I had a successful surgery with another podiatrist on my other foot over 30 years ago & extremely happy with it & unfortunately extremely dissatisfied with overall experience this time around. If I could back, I would never have this procedure with this surgeon. Not only did my foot not get any better, but I am also now experiencing different pains read more

My 80 year old mother saw Dr. Angarola. She injured her big toe and went in to have it checked. Nail seemed close to coming off. Due to her knee surgeries she is unable to bend over to cut her nails. While she was there she asked the doctor to cut them because they were seriously long and caused pain when walking. His response? We don't do pedicures and refused to cut them. How many hundreds of dollars was he paid for the 5 second visit for doing practically nothing. He let pride stop him from doing it. Completely uncaring, rude doctor. Like it would have killed him to help an elderly person. You want a doc that cares and shows compassion? Go see one of the docs at Foot and Ankle Specialty Group in RSM. My son sees them, and they are fantastic!!! read more

Dr. Angarola's Fountain Valley practice is upstairs in the MemorialCare facility, north side of Warner, just west of Newhope. Registered downstairs and, literally, about a minute later, as soon as I ascended the stairs and walked in the door; was called back! Excellent office staff, and the doc was very knowledgeable and thorough. I saw Dr. Angarola today for an initial consult. He has GREAT bedside manner. He took the time to listen, have a two-way conversation, and explained how various issues I'm having with my feet and one ankle are all related to the same root cause. He has a perfect balance of projecting confidence in his experience/knowledge, but still very nice and down to earth. I feel great about seeing him for follow up care :-). read more

The appointment process was so uncomfortable and not helpful that I decided not to even make an appointment after all. Apparently, it was a call center who couldn't give answers about fees. They also couldn't check availability until they got all of your information. Finally, if you have any questions for the office before your visit, you couldn't call anyone because all calls go through the call center, and they don't have any answers. The person I talked to was also very sarcastic in her answers. It's too bad because the reviews about Dr. Angarola seems to show that he is a good doctor. read more

This Doctor had an excellent bedside manner and knowledge of my issue. The Doctor was friendly and approachable. He listened to my symptoms and concerns and spent ample time explaining to me what my diagnosis was and my course of treatment for it. I didn't feel rushed through my appointment or like I was just one more patient as I have sometimes felt with other doctors. He was very professional and courteous. I recently had my first visit to Dr. Angarola to receive diabetic foot care. Over the years, I have seen several podiatrists and have always received at least 3 procedures. Examine between the toes for foot fungus (athlete's foot), trim calluses, and have toenails cut. Some podiatrists also soak the feet to soften the calluses before trimming them. Also, I typically have my neuropathy checked since I have had diabetes for a long time. I was greeted by an assistant who began by telling me that I could only have my toenails trimmed by making a special appointment! I told him my main reason for the visit was to have my toenails trimmed. It's been a while since I visited a podiatrist due to Covid 19 and was overdue in having my nails cut. The Dr. interviewed me and cut my toenails. As soon as he was done, he left the room. I was speechless. I didn't have time to mention all the important procedures that I believe should be done to be considered good diabetic foot care. I will definitely not be returning to see this Doctor nor would I recommend him to others. read more

Great doctor and surgeon, always therough with his vists and concern for your well being. Since my surgery, both of my feet feel soooo much better, before my feet hurt just under normal conditions and now 5 months post surgery I am able to walk for excersize again and happy to report that I am up to 3 miles 5 days a week. Prior to surgery I couldn't even wear a dress shoe for work. I would definitely recommend Dr. Angarola. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Angarola for the last 4 years. I was disappointed that from his lasts visits and in the chart he should have known that my visit was due to my diabetes more than anything else. Specifically, progression of neuropathy in my feet. Dr. Angarola has not checked this condition. This was the first time that he has not performed this check. When I followed up with his staff, they relayed that he said I came in for toenail clippings! I informed them that that was not the reason for my visit! I continued to follow up. In my my last conversation with them, and upon their review of my chart, they informed me that I came in for a walking disorder! I give up. Their quality control people asked me for a survey of my visit. Furthermore after obtaining the survey, they asked for me to provide a review on yelp. It was an opportunity to share my experience with Dr. Angarola and his staff. I am sorry that I cannot provide a review like other content patients. After all I think that the reviews on yelp are to be truthful and constructive. read more

If I could give Dr. Angarola zero stars, I would. This doctor treated my mother-in-law inhumanely. He stated that he refused to spend more than 15 minutes with us because that was the amount of time that the appointment was scheduled for (which we did not know). He was rude. He was not helpful. He made her cry. It was a horrible experience and I would suggest looking for a different podiatrist to help you. I am a nurse and work at Long Beach Memorial. I am embarrassed that this doctor is affiliated with my place of employment. read more

Dr. Angarola is an excellent podiatrist and I would highly recommend him to anyone. His appointments always start right on time, which is rare for doctors!! He works out of several different Orange County locations throughout the week, which makes him accessible to many areas. He is so friendly, knowledgeable, and detail oriented. He takes the time to explain everything thoroughly and makes you feel very comfortable. His assistant Orlando is also excellent and very personable. I had surgery on my foot and he made himself available whenever I had additional questions or concerns, and everything went so smoothly. Dr. Angarola was an excellent doctor. My daughter went in feeling very nervous about an ingrown toe procedure and he calmed her nerves and went at a great pace that was comfortable for her. Dr. Angarola was one of the best experiences I have had with a doctor for both of my children. He was very caring to my daughters issue and sensitive to the fact she is only 6. He explained everything in detail, answered all our questions and always communicated with my daughter what was being done even though she is only 6 making sure she was comfortable. When her procedure was done he was very careful, always asking her how she was feeling during the process. Very nice Doctor would recommend anyone to see him. Very polite with a great sense of humor. My daughters procedure was done on Saturday and he was nice enough to call on a holiday weekend on SUNDAY the next day to check on how she was doing. Something no doctor in my experience has done before. Wonderful experience for such a nerve wracking procedure for my 6 year old daughter. read more
