From the moment I contacted Dr. Aslmand's office, I was impressed by how quickly they were able to schedule my appointment. The visit itself was incredibly efficient and thorough. Within about 40 minutes, X-rays were completed, I received a cortisone injection, and Dr. Aslmand took the time to teach me how to properly tape my foot. He also recommended supportive shoes and provided a night splint to aid in my recovery. The most remarkable part? So every time I came into this place, this lady would keep cutting into my toenail telling me it's fungus and kept telling me to apply this nail polish and would charge me for this type of service... come to find out NOW THAT ITS BEEN AN INGROWN TOE NAIL THIS WHOLE TIME!! I finally seen a better professional who cut the side and got my ingrown toenail out and my nail is now back to normal because of my new doctor!!!!! My new doctor recommended me to soak it in Epsom salt everyday for 10 min after getting the ingrown out and my toe is now 100% normal!! DON'T TRUST THEM. They messed my foot up to a point where it's a permanent disability. They took the bone completely out of my 2nd toe and but a metal post in it...to fix my bunion. Then they sawed my bone off on the inside of my toes. Oh my goshhhh. I had stitches up the inside of my foot and a metal post through my 2nd toe. They gave me 5mg. Percocet. I was yelling in pain when I tried to move positions in bed. My review was on the previous site. No wonder he changed the name from Memorial. Oh no. Debbie in the front office was a dream. So nice and professional. Dr. however. A NIGHTMARE. I actually thought I was going to wear open toe sandals again. NOT EVEN. I've been here several times over the years for my messed up feet, primarily notoriously hard-to-shake issues like plantar fasciitis and achilles tendonitis, with a sprinkle of bone spurs thrown in. Dr. Aslmand and his staff are efficient and friendly; I recently returned after several years, and he remembered me right away, and my history pretty fully after just a quick look at my file. I have never needed surgery; Dr. Aslmand starts treatment conservatively and that has always worked for me. I like that he does not rush into surgery, preferring to resolve issues without invasive intervention like surgery. But, I certainly don't get the sense that he would not recommend surgery when it is necessary. Extra bonus, he is one of those cherished doctors who does not just look at me and tell me that all my foot problems would go away if I lost weight. Thank you for that! Those of us who are big know how it is--yes we know losing weight would help some, but I appreciate doctors who understand that an injury is an injury even if you're fat. read more

Amazing, caring and dedicated doctor. A couple of months ago, I developed a sharp pain at the bottom of my heel. I was so focused on work that I kept ignoring the pain and taking over the counter pain killers. It eventually got to the point were I couldn't handle the pain, the shoes and the pain killers were not doing anything besides upsetting my stomach. I found Dr. Pedram on Yelp and decided to give him a shot. From the moment you walk in to the moment the doctor sees you, you are treated like family. His front desk staff and medical assistants are super nice and friendly. Dr. Pedram noticed my heel was swollen and gave me a cortisone shot to alleviate some of the pain and the inflammation. He also gave me a splinter (boot) to wear at night time. It took a couple of weeks to get back to normal, but thanks to his attention, details and home exercices, I have been able to manage the pain and go back to normal. I have to admit that I got lazy after a couple of weeks and stop doing the stretches or wearing the shoes he recommended and long a behold, the pain came back. That was on me though. I had to pay the doctor another visit and he was kind, caring and funny as always. Definitely, one of my favorite doctors to visit. read more

In 2009 I went to this foot doctor to see about an implant I had done in 1980. We agreed that he would remove the old implant and replace it with a new implant. The problem was that he opted to use a silicone or "non meshing organic" technique that was used back in the 80's. So, after the surgery it started to hurt again and he injected me with "something" saline I think and that did not help. So I went to see another foot doctor at Cedars Sinai. Only problem is that due to this guy not using a "live cadaver organic" implant on my metatarsal he created a"hammer toe" condition which resulted in the next surgeon to have to not only fix the implant he put in but also the hammertoe "pin" on the toe next to it which I never had before.! So no I would not recommend this guy....if he would have done it right the first time I would not have a hammertoe today! Ugh wish I knew! read more

I was a new patient, and was expecting some delay -- however I was roomed right away, the doctor was in the room quickly, he got the X-rays done, and I was out in less than 30 minutes with all the I formation I needed for a persistent foot pain that everyone had said was a soft tissue injury, and turns out it's a spot of arthritis. Once again, Dr. Aslamand performs. I have been going for about three years and because of the amount of walking I do, sometimes I have a problem. The last one was an inflamed tendon in one of my feet. Dr. Aslamand is a minimalist when it comes to drugs and injections. He gave me one small steroid shot when it began and told me to keep walking. I came in to get a wart treated. I asked the doctor if he could just cut it out but he recommended I try a topical treatment with follow up visits every month. I consistently apply the treatment for 2 months with no effect. All of the sudden I get a bill in the mail for my previous 2 visits and I still have a wart on my foot! Not to mention that I paid $30 for 2 bottles of the treatment. I realize that instead of helping my problem immediately he would rather bill me for multiple visits over time. I am an avid runner and have some mobility issues in one foot. Dr Aslmand is very knowledgeable and has increased my mobility significantly through different treatments and customized inserts. Dr Aslmand also provides me with a list of specific make and model running shoes that are best suited for my feet. He takes his time in our appointments to listen to me and asks questions about my health and activity. Most doctors will prescribe "no running" to fix any issue that's aggravated by running. I had my bunion surgery done by Dr. Aslmand about three months ago and i'm back in regular shoes. i don't know why i had waited so long to get this procedure. the whole process was very simple and besides the three days of pain which he gave him Percocet to take, the rest was simple. i walked in a boot for three weeks and transitioned into a sandal shoe. Loved the experience!!! Which is hard to say for visiting a doctors office!!! Dr Aslmand is fantastic and very knowledgable. I saw him for my painful bunion which I had for a while now. As I've gotten older the pain has slowly gotten worse and I was dreading seeing someone because I know surgery is the answer:( but the good doc didn't push me in any way to get the case done but actually gave me some great options which of it fails, I'll sign up for surgery. I was suffering g from pain in the ball of my right foot. I figured out by trial and error I needed an injection for Morton's Neuroma. I could not find any podiatrist offices in the Palm Desert area with the required percentage of alcohol injection. I finally found this office in Long Beach. I met with Dr. Miram Botros and right away I could tell she was knowledgeable, professional and very thorough on what she could do to help me. Literally after one injection my foot felt better. I went back for two more shots over the next 6 weeks. I can happily say that I am back to my normal life. She really helped me and I appreciate her input and help as well as her warm personality.
