It was pretty busy and lots of people parking in front on the entry way to do book returns, I guess. The library was bright and clean inside. I just went and looked for a book, found what I needed, and did self-checkout. On my way out I noticed a table with diapers, spices, and paw paws. I wasn't sure what it was about, but I went back to the desk and asked the lady at the counter. The spices and the paw paws were free for the taking. I am not really familiar with Garam Masala, and it was a little packet stapled to pages with history, information, and recipes. So cool! I had also never tasted a paw paw before so I took one of those, too. Their sign indicated they were best eaten same day so I tried it when I got home, it was really good. I will have to see if my regular library has something like this.

There are rooms one can book for meetings or gatherings, complete with whiteboards, projectors, and hdmi cords for viewing. There are other libraries that have multiple floors with kids sections and tech rooms. This location has everything on one floor.

(Note that the main branch is located in Arnold, a short drive north of this location.) They offer plenty of activities to bring in teens, adults, and families. The children section has a variety of series to get young readers interested in more reading. Good amount of sitting spots are present along with computers to search the catalog. Self check-out is available, and electronic "receipts" are optional. If the book you want is not there, the computer systems allows library card holders to access books from other libraries "on loan." (ID required to get a library card.) A clothing donation drop-off is located in the parking lot. Now for the more personal side of things. What brought a smile to my face was the cultural breath of the CDs along with modern ones like Taylor Swift. What made me feel at home were the ladies behind the counter who left me use their whole-punch (on more than one occasion) since I couldn't find mine at home. What impressed me is their collection of business/career related books which helped me study over the summers. I write these things, some of them seemingly obvious for a library's inventory, because it occasionally feels like this type of public space is not fully utilized by many communities. So, before buying a resource (for personal, school, or business), see if the local library has what you need. Since this is my go-to branch, I know where to go. First stop is the new released. I usually get a max of two and pick up the rest I find from the regular stacks. Head upstairs to the fiction and mystery and found a light read and the next two murder/mysteries in a series I am reading. I can't miss a stop by the cookbooks; I picked out two new Mediterranean books and two by celebrity chefs. All done. I love self-check-out! You just set the books on the pad, scan your card, select done and you are good to go. My library bag was heavy today!

The second floor, accessible by steps or stairs has a computer lab and copiers available; like having a private office. Your library card gets you so much more than books...multi media access, free classes, notary services, office space. I always take advantage of the free $5.00 monthly allowance for copies. You can browse online and reserve books for pickup.

I absolutely love this place!!…read more They are huge and clean! Their card catalog is all online now. You can search for any book using the Author, title or subject. It will tell you exactly where to go find it on the shelf. They have computers there you can use, for free, to look this up. They have other computers you can use, for free, to internet surf on. There is no fee on late library books any more. But I am curtious and still renew or bring them back when suggested. I just seen that you can check out ties, workout activities, games to improve health, scooters and crutches, along with books, dvd's, audio books, and video games. They have a large selection of comic books too! I'm so impressed with all the new things we can check out now! What a blessing to our community! I love this place! I will continue to come back!

Trying to study at home but ended up rolling back into bed or playing computer games, I had to…read moreadmit that studying at home may not be a good idea for me. To increases chances of doing some work, I decided to get out of my pajamas and go to the library. I'm not alone. The place is full of students during exam seasons. Make sure to get there by 9 am to get a seat, and stay there to keep it. There is a Whispers Cafe selling coffee and bagels if you want to take a tea break. Food is banned inside the library, although it seems common to see people subtly reaching in bags, getting a small pack of biscuits or energy bars and silently eating them... To me it's not just a place of collections of books and documents, but a place to help me build better habits and overcome procrastination. You are much less likely to get distracted by the internet in the library and work more productively. Great study environment, free printing and scanning services and couches to take a nap in, all in all it's a great library.
