The staff is friendly, but if time is important to you, go somewhere else. They overbook appointments. I came in for a cleaning. I was called back within 15 minutes of arrival. They got the x-rays done quickly, but it went downhill from there. After the x-rays, I was put in a room and didn't see anyone for 2 hours. I went there 2 weeks ago to have some gaps filled in my upper teeth that my smile direct aligners hadn't fixed completely. Dr. Kammili and the dental assistant Jackie were great he closed the gaps by filling the tooth on both sides it looks great now and my insurance covered everything except $25. I came in for tooth pain on one side of my mouth. I ended up leaving with them doing three fillings on the other side of my mouth. Original problem not corrected. I had to return to the office two weeks later because there was so much cement that was left all over my teeth. There were chunks I tried picking of myself as well as the entire teeth feeling like chalk board. She kept asking me when she was making fixes how it was and I kept having to say, can you do a little more. The assistant that's skinny with a hunchback is also very rough with holding the tools in your mouth. Each time I went home with abrasions on my gums from her resting the tools in my mouth and sort of leaning on them. She also would yell to other co workers in the office as the came by. The dr doesn't seem to mind her not paying attention. Worst part is even after going to get the fix it wasn't enough so I had to go back a third time and face the dr doing a little bit then asking if it was enough along with the same assistant pushing tools into my gums and cramping my tongue down. The dr eventually said that she couldn't do anymore unless I just had the entire filling re-done. However the areas that were needing "fixing" had nothing to do with the filling but all the cement that spilled over onto the sides of my teeth. Now I just have to live with chalk board teeth and some still minor chunks. I got three fillings done that were never an issue and still have had nothing done for the original reason I went in. I'll never go back here and caution anyone who does. At the very least prepare to have sore gums if you get the skinny hunchback assistant because she won't be paying attention as she rests her hands on the tools she's pushing into your mouth. read more

WASTE OF TIME! I went in to get help for my painful tooth. It turned out to be I needed a root canal. After X-rays and a consultation with Dr! They told me they don't have any to do root canals. You have to go to the other locations on certain days. Re - do X-rays and get another consultation with root canal specialist. Basically, I wasted my time and $$ plus, the Dr took over 2 hours to see me. My Appt was at 9am and I left at 12:20 just for X-rays and a consultation. They tried to do a cleaning at triple amount $ my normal dentist charges. I was very upset and unsatisfied as I got no help. Left with the same issue and wasted my time! I know I signed something that said Insurance only an estimate, but they work with the insurance company all the time and should be able to give an estimate within 25%, not 300%. I was very disappointed in the service I received. A week before my appointment, I had an exam where the oral doctor on site told me that I needed to get my tooth pulled, and that they could do it. I paid ahead of time and set my appointment. 7 days later ,I was in there building for an hour and a half before I was informed that they could not pull my tooth after they numbed the right side of my mouth. And apparently because I paid early, it would take a full month to get my money back. Not to mention the place they referred me to had already closed. This means I took off half a day of work to come into the office, I paid about $250 that I have to wait a month to get back and I was provided with no services. All they did was apologize and tell me to have a nice day. This is severely disappointing. I at least expected a manager to reach out an offer an additional apology. If I could give them zero stars I would. NEW PATIENTS BEWARE! Short version: I go to initial appointment. X-rays and pictures are taken, i receive a prescription for antibiotics and pain meds. By this time I am waiting 2.5 hrs to the point that as a diabetic my sugar is low. Was given a cup of apple juice which I sincerely thank that young lady for. I am not feeling well, I make another appointment for a week later to get some work done so I can leave. They hand me a 3-page quote worth approximately $7k. When I get home I realize the quote comes with descriptions and no explanation of the details - only codes and descriptions I don't understand. So I immediately try to reach out to the office to get clarification. Good luck with that. Their calls only go to a call center. I left over 15 messages with the call center back and forth since the day I left their office and never got a call back not even to cancel the 8/17 appointment much less get copies of my X-rays or pictures. I found another place to go to much CLEANER and their quote was more reasonable PLUS the new office didn't throw in a charge for the kitchen sink. The Jefferson Dental call center indicated on the last text that they would reach out to the clinic doctor and still no return call. I should have known from the minute they kept me over 2.5 hours when I am a diabetic plus they gave me a prescription for Amoxicillin when I distinctly wrote on paper that I was allergic to Penicillin that it was clear that I just needed to RUN! They could have made me very sick if I had not realized they they were giving me an antibiotic related to Penicillin! Unfortunately, I had to drive all the way back to that horrible clinic today to cancel the August 17th appointment in person. The excuse they gave me was that their HQ office does not allow them to call back their patients. FIRST I EVER HEAR such a ridiculous thing! Jefferson Dental better NOT bill my insurance company for work they did NOT do or I will take this matter through to legal channels! This clinic should NOT be in business. This was my first visit to Jefferson Dental, and it was one of the best experiences I've ever had at a dentist's office. I had a dental emergency over the weekend and was in a lot of pain. For starters, I was able to make an appointment online on Sunday night for 9 a.m. Monday morning. They called me at 8:30 to confirm, and it was no problem working me in so quickly. When I got there, they had my new patient paperwork processed quickly and the front desk staff was friendly and helpful. When I got back into the chair, Dr. Verma was fantastic. She resolved my issue in no time and didn't try to sell me on a bunch of other procedures (an issue I've had at many other dentist's offices). I ended up staying for a cleaning and to get some cavities filled, and I was impressed with the speed and deftness of her work. I truly HATE getting dental work done, but in this case, it wasn't bad at all. She filled 7 cavities in what felt like about 10 minutes. It was quick, but "I'm really good at what I do" quick, not "let's rush this and get on to the next patient" quick. The dental techs were great as well - they seemed to like working there and were all very proficient. The office manager was also super nice and made sure to take the time to explain everything to me fully before any procedures were performed, even though I was groggy and in pain and she had to repeat herself a couple of times (I was running on about 3 hours sleep and not at my cognitive best). I'll definitely be back, and will be taking the rest of my family there too - after the experience I had today I'm happy to give them all of my business. I'd give them 6 stars if I could. read more

I went there Friday July 12, 2019. It was very clean, with helpful staff who provided me with paperwork and answered all of my questions. I love details if course they printed out steps for me. They gave me plan if action and how much it would cost using my insurance and what treatments to expect for my deep cleanings, etc. Of course, they called my insurance company and got info on my benefits and proceeded to figure out how to max them out in 4 weeks. Then the office manager chuckled and said in January 2020, I can start scheduling again because that's when my new benefits kick in. I also didn't like the fact that they acted like I have bad credit. Firstly, I did not apply for credit because my insurance pays majority and the balance I would pay on my credit card or my overtime pay check from work it was not a big deal to me. I didn't tell them that. But it's rude assume a potential customers bad credit without actually running their credit. Never make assumptions. For that I take away one . I am trying to buy a house and I don't want them messing up my score with inquiring requests. I made an appointment and filled out forms online but that didn't help at all. I still had to fill out same stuff again and it took like 2.5 hours if WAITING in lobby and in dental chair. If my appt is at 1:00p.m. then bring me back when you are ready to work. Have some respect for my time. The Dental Assistant claimed they were behind because one D.A. quit and they had no replacement. But I can understand. I think they let you know all steps, they printed out everything, and I was pleased, but no work was done today. I am supposed to schedule like 5 appointments . Cons: NO guarantee on their work. I like guaranteed work. I don't pay for it non guaranteed work. LOL. What if it's flawed or painful . Anyway no guarantee on any work means I won't guarantee I will reschedule appointment there Ever. Too slow had me sitting in chair waiting forever in the lobby and in back waiting on doctor. They try to upsell some $20,000 cosmetic surgery. I know I do look a bit high dollar for this area but I mostly use Avon, Oil if Okay, and natural remedies for beautification. They claimed I need surgery saying my gums were receeding. Yet not taking my other problems seriously. Like the cheap stuff like cleanings, extraction of wisdom tooth, you know stuff they make no money on. Lol. They don't use a good blood pressure machine. I would think they use arm cuff you see at hospital or Care Now. No.. they use the wrist minitir which is not as accurate according to the American Heart Association. The doctor never apologized for the long wait. Especially when I prebooked online to avoid long waits. The exray mini played they put in mouth dig into gums they need cushions on them. In California I had a very good doctor. But I think I'm going to go somewhere else. They don't even give free yet included in price soft bristle tooth brushes, samples of toothpaste, dental floss, not booklets on stuff you might want to know about if you read about them in dentists office. They are cheap. Pros great for basic needs and close by. They stretch out some payments and offer Payment plans and have credit options. But they take too long to do anything and that makes me nervous. Also they were short staffed and I don't want to hear but I like to hear about issues of workers because that helps me to decide if it's the right fit for me. I listened to other conversations and it seemed they talk down to people. Another person was there same time and she didn't get any work done these people are super concerned with money and upgrades and it seems basic stuff is not as important. I give them 3 stars. But I think I'm going to move on. BTW they do not do wisdom teeth extraction. They refer you to some specialist. FYI. I'm trying to get all my work done in one office. This is a good place for kids. They are adults in room they don't play CNN or regular stories on TV. It was super loud even with my head phones. Be prepared to wait 3 hours on Saturday's as that's their busiest day of the week. However they don't tell you that until they tell you that they'll close in 15 minutes so they can't get any work done after the consultation. I came for a simple cleaning and was told by the receptionists it'll be a 15-30 minute wait after my appointment time at 1:15 PM. Very understandable. However, there is only one doctor with multiple patients scheduled at the same time with varying needs. Very frustrating visit. After sitting in the waiting room for 1.75 hours, you will wait an additional 1.25 hours in the chair with zero entertainment and no notice or check-in. May be different on a Wednesday at 8:00 AM. Dental assistant was a little rough with the x-rays. Dr. Verma was nice. However the whole experience did not feel "patient-centered" as advertised. read more

So frustrated with my experience that I am writing two separate reviews for Google & Yelp. I recently received 12 fillings at this location & had the worst experience imaginable. I didn't figure it would be that quick of a process considering the amount of fillings I was receiving, but I was at the dentist for nearly five hours, one of those hours being AFTER close. I recognize that there are several patients that need treatment, but I found it incredibly unprofessional the way I was handled. I was given anesthetic & then left to wait for an hour & a half after also waiting in the waiting room before my appointment, meaning I had been there around two hours before they even started to LOOK at my teeth. It would help if I had been given any check-ins or updates on time during this wait, but I was not. I was given several shots of numbing & then left to sit there. When they finally began working, they would prep one or two cavities to be filled, then leave for several minutes at a time to assist other patients, leaving me with my mouth jacked wide open & struggling not to choke on my own spit. During one of these times, I overheard a dispute with a man & the dentist about how he came from an hour away & had to return for his cleaning another time because his x-rays took up too much time & he had to be somewhere soon. They left me sitting, metal bands in my teeth, while they completed this gentleman's cleaning to satisfy, as if I had not already been there around four hours at that point. If I knew that complaining about having to be somewhere was the trick, I would've done that! I would overhear the dental assistants talking with each other at this point about random things, which is fine & I understand that it's normal to chat during work with coworkers, but it felt very frustrating to have been sitting with my mouth open unattended for several minutes at a time listening to dental assistants ask each other "did I pay you back for the whataburger you bought me the other day?" Not to mention, during the procedure, the tube that supplies the water to the tool they were using within my mouth was leaking PROFUSELY, absolutely soaking the side of my shirt from the hem all the way up to the armpit. To make matters worse, when completing my fillings, some of the experience was incredibly rushed & forced as they had kept me after closing to finish off the work. One of the metal bands they used between my teeth became covered with composite filling & had been cured, so the metal band was effectively stuck between my teeth. I had the dental assistant & the dentist YANKING at this metal band deep within my mouth, which, by this point, the anesthetic had worn off. I told them I could feel things & they proceeded anyways without anything extra. They finally get the bright idea to drill out the band after another half hour of finishing up the OTHER side of my mouth. So the metal band was left to sit & scratch at the back of my tongue while the entire other side of my mouth was worked on, water dripping all over me, going on five hours in the chair, able to feel everything being done to my teeth. To make matters worse, these were my first fillings, & the doctor was so quick to push me out that she did not give me any aftercare instructions. She told me she wanted to recommend a special toothpaste to me for the healing process, & then never followed through with telling me what it was at the front like she said she would. She did not tell me anything about what was & wasn't acceptable to eat after receiving these fillings, & I only got this information because I asked the front desk staff what to do in the days following the fillings. Is that not something a dentist should be telling a patient? The minute I got home I realized how terribly uneven my bite was & went back the next day. Something that literally took five minutes of their time had me waiting for an hour & a half in the waiting room & 20 minutes in the chair, despite scheduling an appointment. Seriously? The waiting is so bad. I came in for x-rays (not even the full 18, just 6) & a cleaning prior to the fillings appointment & was there for nearly three hours. I don't have 3-5 hours to spare every time I to visit Jefferson Dental to ask them to fix work that wasn't done well. I am literally having to visit for ANOTHER appointment because despite going in to get the fillings shaved down, I am discovering that my bite is still massively uneven. The dentist seemed agitated with me when I returned for shaving & every time she'd drill further & I would tell her that it still felt like I was biting down on the remains of something hard. After this next appointment, where HOPEFULLY I can get in & out without wasting my entire afternoon & can bite down on things again without my high filling digging into the enamel I have left, I am through with Jefferson Dental. Unless you love poor, rushed work & extreme wait times, find another place to go. read more

Jefferson Dental Clinic in Denton, TX, the worst dental experience in my 61 years, no exaggeration. I went in to have a filling replaced, a cavity filled and a crown for a tooth that was starting to crack. They talked me into a bridge, but did not tell me it involved grinding down three healthy molars. They did not provide enough anesthetic. I told them I was not numb and they proceeded anyway. The bridge was an upper, the two small fillings were lower. I was there almost 4 hours and by the time they got around to the fillings I was no longer numb and they drilled anyway. The assistant spent a good hour fitting and refitting the temp crown. She was slicing it with great force back and forth on my gum, and ground it raw. It was very painful for two weeks with worse pain than my knee which is being replaced July 26. I was at Jefferson Dental because the first dentist in saw was unable to schedule the work without eating up my sick leave from work which is needed for my knee recovery. I scheduled a return for the permanent cap and bridge. I received a text message to confirm the appointment and less than an hour later Jefferson called trying to reschedule. I refused as it was not enough notice (1 1/2 hours) and I allocated and scheduled this time. I do have a life after all. When I went for the bridge the office manager tried to force and coerce me to sign a waiver that said Jefferson Dental did not guarantee their dental work and was not responsible for poor fitting caps and bridges. After my initial experience with the temporary fitting I refused to sign the waiver of guaranteed proper fitting work. The manager refused to let me speak to the dentist and threatened to call the police for who knows what. Just more intimidation on Jefferson part. I finally saw the Dentist who refused to guarantee the quality of her work. She said the form was a legal document and that her lawyer said was a legal documents etc. that could not be changed and had to be signed or she would not complete her work. I am not an idiot and refused to sign a waiver of guarantee for the crown and bridge. Especially after the first experience with not just poor quality, but intentional infliction of pain and not providing anesthetic when I requested it. The Dental Assistant kept asking if the temporary fit ok and for a solid hour I kept telling her it fit fine the first time she put it in. But she continued to forcefully rub my gum raw with the temporary I can only conclude intentionally since I told her it fit fine, to stop, and that I needed more anesthetic. At one point the doctor stabbed my gum a few times with a needle, but I continued to say I was not numb. I felt the needle but felt zero anesthetic. I have left messages with Jefferson Dental's Corporate "Patient Care". They do not care and have not contacted me. They do not deserve any stars and should be a -10 Stars. read more

This clinic is the worst dental clinic I have ever been to. I waited over 2 and a half hours for a routine teeth cleaning, which I was told during schedulling would take about an hour. Of the 2 and half hours I was there less than 15 minutes was with the actual dentist. Everywhere I have since asked tells me that a dental cleaning should take 30-40 minutes. This dentist spent 8. 8 rushed and painful minutes over 2 hours and 15 minutes into my appointment because " this patient has to leave early." 2 HOURS INTO THE APPPOINTMENT is NOT "leaving early." Don't waste your insurance claim on your yearly teeth cleaning at this place, it absolutely isn't worth it. Also, for anyone wondering, it isn't normal for a dental clinic to send in a manager to try and upsale you on teeth whitening and services that 2 minutes a denist of poking around in your mouth before running off can in no way justify. I went in a few months ago at the old clinic and had a crown put on. Upon seeing the other reviews I'm beginning to wonder if my filling actually had failed and needed to have the crown put on. Anyways, I needed to have my referral and panoramic x-rays sent into the oral surgeon recommended by my new insurance (new job, different benefits). I put in this request at 9/4/2015. The patient care manager would not email me the release form for me to print and sign, and instead insisted that it needed to be faxed to me as I was not able to make it into the clinic. Once I received the fax and emailed it to them as instructed by one of there staff I was then notified that they wouldn't be able to send my x-rays as they were analog, and that I needed to come in to have a digital one taken on Saturday. I went in on the morning of 9/12/2015 to have the x-ray taken. It was taken quickly and upon leaving the clinic I tried to confirm with them that they had the correct forwarding address. The front desk staff member informed me that she couldn't tell me and would need to have a manager call me to tell me. I also was not told of any cost of this X-ray, and was under the impression that it was at no charge considering they were the ones refusing to send the analog copies of my x-rays. I received no call. Fast forward to Tuesday 9/15/2015 and I received a call from one of the folks at the office I'm trying to get this information forwarded to. They never received any of the information that I requested be sent. When I called and wanted to see what was going on they were rude, and told me they didn't have the release form I signed and sent them. When I told them the exact date and time I sent the form as well as the account I sent it to, they dropped that very quickly and instead informed me that I owed them $30 for the X-ray. When I asked about this they informed me I could pay over the phone, but that I wouldn't receive a bill. I was transferred to the patient care manager who was exceptionally rude. She tried to get me to agree to have my information sent to one of their surgeons. I refused as I already had an appointment that they already knew about. My question is, how could I have paid this if I only found out about this charge when they dropped the ball on this again and didn't send the information? I was told that they would send the x-rays. I called when I got off work to confirm they sent the information. The staff member I spoke to said they "maybe" sent it to my personal e-mail. They did not. She then suggested they "maybe" sent it to the surgeons office. I suggested that maybe she should find out. After she got back on the line she informed me that they had been sending it to the wrong email. I was then informed I would be charged $35 for the x-ray that just 2 hours earlier been $30. I gave them the e-mail they needed to send my information too again, and when I challenged the X-ray with the changing price they waived it. I requested that they send confirmation of waiving this to my email. They sent my x-rays, but I'm still waiting on that confirmation. At the end of the day, do you really want to trust your teeth to an office that can't even handle forwarding your x-rays to your surgeon? read more

Worst expierience ever. First off, the cost they quote you are "Estimates." They charged me and insurance the max alloable as per insurance contract. Second, I requested a simple cleaning and to fill out my exam form. They refused complete the cleaning and fill out the form properly. The doctor examined my teeth without actually touching/scraping them. Because of my insurance capabilities, they quoted over $2k worth of work on nine cavities. Remember, this is an "estimate" which is low for them. I refused service and they tried to guilt me into it because I have such great insurance when others do not. Worst dental experience ever, They take to long to pass patients back and they're very unprofessional. The manager and the assistant Manager have no idea what they're doing. Will not be returning!! If you want a ghetto dentist your at the right place. My wife and I felt very uncomfortable by the managers wardrobe and she can barely speak any English.
