Tried to schedule an expensive Scan. Spoke to someone in India or Malaysia. I was informed verbally , of the costs for the procedure but the person refused to provide confirmation in writing. You can't speak to anyone at the local office for answers to questions. Stay away from this Radiology Chain. They could care less about patient care. Forget trying to get any questions answered from these profiteers. They use a call center in the Philippines for all phone inquiries and scheduling and their operators have zero knowledge about the simplest questions about the procedures. The operators are kind people but it's frustrating as hell, especially since you have bigger problems that require an MRI. But, since JR apparently exists first to milk every single penny out of patients, they are accomplishing their mission. God forbid you have people at each center who can take care of your profit sources, I mean, patients. Well, let's not feed that ugly beast and instead do yourself and humanity a favor and go elsewhere. I received a letter FROM Jefferson radiology that said I needed a Low dose screen because it had been a year, They indicated that if I hadn't heard from them in 7 days to call. I called this morning to schedule-the letter said they would be reaching out to. my PCP-no order. So I scheduled the Bone density scan that was ordered, The phone line had static the entire time I was on the. phone so I had to ask the individual to repeat herself well over 5 times. First available January-and yes, I do want a specific area. Nothing before January except one day with early morning appointments only. While we are all a bit hamstrung by the lack of other radiology practices, but if you can, look elsewhere. read more

This place deserves their one star review. I would rather have explosive diarrhea than have to go back to this place. Showed up for my appointment on time and was told that they called me the day before and left a message saying I need to show up 20 minutes early. Because they left a message I never heard or replied to they would not see me and gave away my appointment. Why wouldn't they text? Or call more then once? Or update MyChart with a notice? Or update MyChart to say you need to arrive 20 minutes early? Or tell you that when you book your appointment? As stated by Kathryn Jefferson Radiology Now uses a call center in the Philippines to handle many, if not all of their scheduling calls. This has led to some frustrations as the schedulers follow a script and know little about the facilities. The service is so terrible and the person didn't understand what kind of test I was talking about, after spelling it for them. I just called Jefferson Radiology for an appointment and it appears that they have outsourced their scheduling. It took me 25 minutes to schedule an appointment. The person I spoke with was difficult to understand. She asked many questions and took quite a long time to answer my questions. In addition, there was a lot of noise in the background from other operators making the call extremely frustrating. I suggest Jefferson bring it call center back to the US. I plan to look for other radiology providers in my area. read more

If I could give them zero stars, I would. If you're disabled, don't count on your ADA accommodations being honored, or on being treated with respect. The call center (not in the US) is an absolute nightmare. They get pretty much everything wrong, and you may be put on hold repeatedly - it can take an hour or more to get through the call. Records: they wil say they're sending images to a doctor, when you request it, but then they don't. CDs to pick up: there is no place on the request form to choose a pick up location, but then after you put in the request, you get a message that the CD will be ready in three days at the location you chose. If you call thr call center to find out where it was sent, they have no record - in essence, making an online request apparently doesn't actually go anywhere. I think a *huge* part of this is the call center; it wasn't this bad, years ago (except they would make mistakes reading my scans). It's a nightmare, now. If I could give them zero stars, I would. My advice is to find an imaging practice where you can actually speak to someone at the practice. read more

Had angiography on Feb 16, post surgery the Dr. said to me he was ordering an antibiotic, as I am immune suppressed for the past 21 yrs. Next day, no antibiotic script was sent to my pharmacy. Calling to address this matter, I get a call center in the Philippines, and a person who doesn't know up or down, and can't understand I needed to speak to the Farmington CT office to get the message to to surgeon about no antibiotic. Always a terrible time consuming experience with Jefferson Radiology, who unfortunately have a monopoly in CT. read more

IMPOSSIBLE TO RESET MY PASSWORD I called the IT number 860 291 6500. After innumerable wait I was told I would be transferred to VM. Then the call was dropped. Repeated it, same thing. Called the general number, long wait, and got a person who knew nothing. Kept putting me on hold as she went to get help. Finally she got me a temporary PW WHICH DID NOT WORK. Called back, go someone new, who said she would transfer me to the right person and then the call got dropped. Total elapsed time. 1.2 hours. read more

I have been using Jefferson Radiology for years. i had good and not so good experiences over the years. However, over the past several months the services went down significantly. it is so difficult to schedule the appointment right now. I had to wait two weeks for a simple abdominal US just to find out today that my appointment has been canceled and I need to wait another two weeks for my appointment!!!!! unbelivable.... there is no explanation on the company part and there is no willingness to accommodate the patient...their answer is simply take it or leave it.... they do not care about my condition... I guess they want me to go to ER? but why!!! read more

Faxes with orders or approval take apparently 3-5 business days for them to get uploaded to a file for you to be scheduled. Besides waiting on hold for extended period of time when you call the scheduling number, you can't get a rush appointment or a cancelled appointment because even if they make it, they will cancel it because they didn't upload the order/approval from their fax to portal. Very frustrating for the approving party and the patient. Scheduling number is a middle man, no direct number to the facility themselves. They will apologize, but not make effort to resolve the situation they create. If you are looking for anything on an urgent basis - seek alternate facility, Jefferson is not that place. read more

so here we go again. I had an open MRI on Monday. Still waiting for results. I had an ultrasound at Vernon Imaging on Tuesday. the results were in MyChart by the time I got home, and the doctor called two hours later about the results. Hartford HealthCare owns 49% of Jefferson. Too bad they can't figure out a way to hire more radiologists so we don't have to wait. and wait. and wait. if Hartford HeathCare didn't spend so much money advertising their services, perhaps they could hire another radiologist so we didn't have to wait. Had imaging done at Windham Hospital (part of Hartford Healthcare) in October 2024. Six weeks for results. Had a lung CT done in December and was told by phone by a Jefferson customer service rep that the wait is now 8 weeks. Shame on Hartford Healthcare. They own half of Jefferson and continue to provide - and bill for - imaging that they know will not be read in a timely way so that patients can begin receiving treatment. This is the worst form of neglect of their patients' healthcare needs. read more

It's been over 10 days since I went for a lumbar MRI due to chronic lower back pain. I called 4 times and went on patient portal asking for my images/report and still nothing! Finally, I walked in and had a disk made and sent it fed ex to my surgeon who said it was so blurry he couldn't read it. The equipment is dated and no staff to help. Stay away!!!!!! read more

Last year I had a mammogram, and I did it before I was to have some orthopedic surgery. I wanted to be sure there were no problems that needed to be addressed before having this big surgery. Jefferson Radiology took almost 4 weeks to send me a letter that it was abnormal! It through off my surgery. Jefferson claimed it was because of Covid. Now one year later I had a repeat (against my better judgement I returned to Jefferson). Its now been 21 days and they still haven't read the mammogram. I have been waiting on pins and needles ! I hate this place for mammograms. Of course I was told someone would call me back. What a load of bull!! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. They obviously don't care if you are waiting for a timely report no matter how nerve wracking it is. read more

Completely horrible business. Aside from a terrible experience at my scans, I have now been fighting a bill for over a year because of miscoding by Jefferson Radiology. Every department says they can't do anything and point back to each other. The end result is nothing is done. My insurance company reached out to them directly and they declined a code review. My doctor sent the authorization for an MRI, and said Jefferson Radiology would call to schedule. Never happened. I could never get through to follow up, and the authorization lapsed. Dr. sent another authorization and told me to call them. I've now again tried multiple times, I was on hold at least 30 mins each time. The one time I was able to get through, I got a person whose English I could not understand, then he put me on hold AGAIN and I was stuck there for another 30 minutes before I had to hang up for a work call. I thought Comcast had the worst possible customer service, but JR has surpassed them as the worst I have encountered in my life. read more

Went in at 7:45 did my paper work Miss Ortiz. who works up front checking people in so professional and polite you can tell she knew what she was doing. made me feel really welcom! my appointment was for 8:00am they called me in on time. i must say every one was so pleasant smiles every where! Exceptionally poor customer service provided attempting to schedule an appointment. Extended hold time for a personal call to be answered, (response to voice mail requests can take up to 72hrs as per recording). Two weeks, three phone calls, no appointment. Paperwork issue between JR and MD. JR customer service rep stated she did not know how to resolve the issue. Pretty simple, call the MD office. Oh, this is a repeat of a similar issue last year. This is the third (and last) year that I will have my annual mammogram done here. My imaging was done on November 2 and it is almost 4 weeks later without getting the results. The technician assured me that things were getting better and I would know within two weeks, but that was not the case. I have talked to a few other women who go elsewhere and they always get results within a week or less! I have cancer. In order to proceed in my treatments, I need my August 8 CT read. It's August 18 and nothing. In the mean time, the scans weren't available for The meeting of The Hartford Tumor board. They were not available to my specialist in NYC, with whom I met yesterday. And they obviously won't be available to my Hartford oncologist, with whom I will be meeting in a few hours. Every time I try calling Jefferson Radiology, I get a message that their system is down. What do I have to do short of a lawsuit to get these scans read before next Thursday, when the tumor board in NYC meets? read more

Jefferson is my go to radiology place, appointments are always available within a reasonable time, and I also have been seen without an appointment a couple of times. The facility is modern, extremely clean, well designed and decorated. I have been to the Avon location, but recently I have been coming to Farmington Ave because I need additional screening. Staff at both locations is over the top friendly and accommodating, they show compassion and concern for the patient. The waiting area inside (not the reception) has a lovely room set up with a coffee maker and water for those of us waiting for results. I go to Jefferson every 6 months, and have a pleasant experience every time. read more

I'm giving it 5 stars. Compared to the West Hartford location of Jefferson Radiology the facility is top notch. The staff are incredibly polite and they don't make you wait for your assigned appointment time. I like that Jefferson permits you to select your appointment day and time online and they will call you to confirm. I've gone for quite a few mammograms, some ultrasounds and a couple of biopsies and have always had a pleasant experience (considering how some of those procedures could be stressful). read more

I went for an Ultrasound procedure everyone I came into contact with could not have been more helpful and considerate, The A.P.R. N. took time to explain each step in the procedure and constantly checked to see how I was feeling. At one point she actually paused and let me take a break.
