Normally a good place to come to grab a quick delicious bite... Came in tonight around nine for a burger and beer and boy were they slow. Not overly busy but appetizer of a half an order of fried pickles took 30 minutes and burgers came right out after that. Almost cancelled everything but was so hungry that we didn't want to try someplace else. Burgers were hot and good but fries were cold and undercooked. Didn't want to hear they were "sorry" again and just ate the burger and paid. Very disappointing meal .... this is the second time in a row that we have had an experience like this here. I hope they address it as we used to enjoy coming here. read more

The food was very good and service was great! The owners came and talked to us and made us feel right at home. We were in town after a loss to auburn and couldn't have found a better place. The Buffalo chicken nachos were the best, I think they must make the chips in house to taste that fresh and crispy. I was very excited about eating here. My wife had been to this place earlier in the week with one of the County Commissioners and loved it. We went to Jefferson's last night (Wed) and less than half of the tables were occupied. We arrived prior to a large party of about 15. We waited for 15 minutes to have our order taken, and not only did that not happen, they took the order of the much larger group before ours. So we went across the tracks and had a salad. Menu looks great. Service...not so much. Do better Jefferson's. read more

Staff is the best in town. Very nice people. Food, especially wings are very good. 1 downfall is having to pay extra for Ranch Dressing to go with the wings. You only get 1 small cup of dressing no matter how many wings you get. (got the same with 12 as others with 6). It's less than $1, but still kind of annoying. Worse service I have ever experienced in my life. We ordered and waited over 40 minutes for wings to come out. Our waitress never apologized, we were never given an explanation, and multiple times she told us our food would be right out and it never was. Once I finally got my order, I realized they had given me less than the amount of wings I had ordered. I let my waitress know and again there was no apology, she even seemed annoyed that I asked to receive the amount of wings I had ordered, and when she brought me the couple wings that I was missing, they were the wrong flavor and the smallest wings I had ever seen. I have been there several times always good but last week we went and ordered our usual but they messed up the wings and did not fix them right so the manager said let me fix that for you. it was not 3 min later she brought them back all they did was try and fix them by putting more sauce on them which did not work so she said im sorry we will fix fresh ones so 5 min later they brought the same wings to the table i said no way they are fresh the waitress admitted they just put them in fryer and put more sauce i asked to see the manager that said they was fixing fresh ones she would not even come back out we just got up and walked out. you should never lie to customers face about doing something when you dont.... read more

I like the sports bar/restaurant atmosphere. Had hot wings both times I've eaten here, the wings are really good. Many levels of hotness to choose from. I got a grilled chicken wrap for lunch, it was ok. The wrap ended up mushy from the juice coming from the chicken. I wanted to get the grilled shrimp but for lunch it just seemed to much to eat (2 sides and texas toast). I did notice that its their special for sundays, so maybe I'll go for Sunday dinner and try it out. Also would liked to have seen a veggy side, like the southern staple green beans! This place is more a bar than restaurant. Food was barely OK. nice servers. Service was quite slow. Didn't have anything remarkable. I had a chili burger. The chili was likely from a can. The burger was over cooked and there weren't even any chopped onions. We were just visiting the area. There are several spots that look similar in the Historic Railroad District. I'd recommend trying one of them. However, if you just want a beer this could be just the ticket. read more

This is more of a bar joint to me. Im not crazy abut their food, I ordered a couple burgers and chicken tenders for our kids. They kids didn't even eat there food!!! When I went In to pay for my order there was 3/4 girls standing around that could have have help me but none of them did. There was beer spilled all over there counter tops. The wings are the best in Opelika/Auburn area. Definitely try the garlic Parmesan. I am giving it 3 stars because the service is sub par and the inside is extremely noisy, but we sit outside and get takeout most of the time. If you get takeout, check your order, remember the service isn't that good. Also, sometimes fried food is hit or miss. Fry cooks don't understand the concept of golden brown and delicious. I have been here a few times before and enjoyed the atmosphere, food and service. The place is not what it once was to say the least. There were only 3 tables and the service we received was very poor. The wings however, were AWFUL. Almost no sauce, freezer burn and over cooked. It took almost 10 minutes to get a beer. We love this restaurant. Excellent drinks. Even better oysters. However the last 2 weeks we have gone to eat oysters and they were out. Once last Sunday and tonight Saturday. I just don't understand how I can call to be sure they have them and 20 minutes later they have sold the last 8 dozen. Order more on Thursday. We ate at Jeffersons for the first time this past Sunday, we were there from about 1-3:30 for lunch and our experience was awful! When we arrived there was 2 tables on the patio, one table inside the restaurant, and a couple of gentlemen at the bar. Our waitress Hannah, greeted us and took our order. It took over an hour to receive our food, and Hannah never came to check on us, or explain why our food was taking so long. We had 2 small children with us, a 4 year old and a 7 month old who were starting to get antsy. So I got up and ask a waitress to ask Hannah to stop by our table. 20 minutes later I had to get up and get her myself. Finally our food came, and Hannah finally asked if we needed anything.. But never checked on us again till she brought our bills. We were very unhappy with the service so we asked to speak to the manager, Hannah informs us that she was in fact THE MANAGER... I explained to Hannah that we were unhappy with the service, that we hadn't been checked on at all throughout our meal, and that as a waitress she should offer some rapport to her customers when their food is taking awhile. That families with small children have the right to know if the wait will be unbearable for the children. Everyone in the restaurant shouldn't have to listen to screaming children.. Hannah responded by explaining that they were short staffed and that they were doing their best. As someone who has waitressed in the past for approximately 8 years, I understand that better than anyone! And normally I would not have been upset if the waitress at least checked on us once or given some brief apology or explanation as to why the food was taking so long. (Showed a little effort) However we were being waited on by THE MANAGER and she didn't even take 2 seconds to check on us or offer any rapport! After talking to Hannah I asked for a box to take home the rest of my meal, the food was not our issue, in fact I was pleased with my meal. However Hannah never brought me a box, even though I had just finished expressing my disappointment. I literally got up and got my own To go box!! Upon walking out we heard the other 2 tables complain to Hannah as well. I am extremely disappointed, I had heard such great things about Jeffersons! They only had a few people in the restaurant and the manager wasn't able to handle it. Although my tip in no way reflected how I felt about my experience, as I am not the type of person to take my frustrations out on someone's income, i feel it's needless to say I will not be eating at Jeffersons again. read more
