4 out of our last 5 orders from Chappy's has been wrong. I have dietary restrictions and can't have certain things, and my wife's favorite item was left out (they randomly gave her two potato salads instead of pasta salad). My son's burger was completely wrong including the sides. W3 absolutely used to love this place, but something just isn't right now. I dont know if they need a new manager or all new employees, but dont trust any order they make. This place has been around for a long time and is always a solid, and popular choice. I've had a number of different sandwiches there and while none have been outstanding, all have been good, and a good value, given the high prices that we have today. Family style sandwich shop which happened to be packed with kids and their parents the night we went. The deli itself has tons of options of sandwiches, soups, and some healthy options too for if you are watching what you eat. I had the Five Points Grilled Turkey Sandwich and a Chicken Gumbo. The sandwich itself was really good and I liked the sour taste of the coleslaw with the mustard they used. It gave a lower calorie food a big bang of taste. I did have a few complaints though. The chicken gumbo was more like tomato soup with some okra and rice in it. No, that's exactly what it was hahaha. So I wouldn't say that if you have had real gumbo that this would be some place you would wanna try theirs. Secondly the restaurant offers free ice cream after your meal, but the machine was broken. So we ordered some cheesecakes, and they only had 2 slices, so we had to settle for something else. Hopefully they can get that machine fixed up soon. read more

This is one of the best delis in Auburn. Everything on the menu is delicious and customization options are endless. The service here is wonderful too and the waiters are really helpful in recommending what's good and what can be substituted and more. They have soups and pastries if sandwiches aren't enough for you. The prices are also reasonable. My patty melt was only $4.95 and my side included a devil-stuffed egg. The BLT is also good and any of the sauces can be substituted. You literally can never get bored of this place because there's so much they have here to try. read more

Delicious breakfast, very cheap, but great quality. Had the breakfast sampler with the blueberry pancake, eggs, grits, Alabama sausage and biscuit with country gravy. Very tasty and what a great tasting, spicy sausage. Breakfast was up quick, tasty and filling. Surprisingly the bill for three of us with drinks, breakfast platters, tax and tip was less than $35. Quite a good deal for the amount of food we consumed! Looks like this place is great for lunch and dinner, but only had time to eat breakfast on this day. Will be back for another meal! read more

Now that I no longer live in Auburn I look forward to football season each year so I can visit some of my favorite Auburn eateries and Chappy's is one of my favorites. Total nightmare - ordered about 50 dollars of food yesterday- went to pick up and there was already a line of people waiting inside and curb pickup so I knew there was going to be issues- after waiting inside for about 30 minutes I was handed my food only to realize it was nothing g that I ordered so I told the manager (a very nice young man who was extremely frazzled) and he said of yes your order is right here and proceeded to throw random sandwiches in a bag- I then said there is no way this was my food as it was just one small bag- so I requested a refund as I knew I'd probably never get the right order- praying the refund comes through but I'm skeptical what he did on the register was right- cute place but definitely not staffed with trained employees who can handle more than a few orders at a time- Update- did receive I've an email from owner that a refund was coming which was nice read more

So, we previously loved Chappy's. But recently it has not been the same quality. When the waitress took our menus, there was a dead roach on the table. I just discretely cleaned it up and wiped down the table. But then our food took quite some time. Even after our waitress said it was on the way out, it was at least another 15 minutes. The food was cold. The hash browns looked absolutely gross. The waitress brought us our check, but then forgot to come back to take our payment. So we just paid at the front. We thought we were fortunate to get a table. But I guess they may not be as busy as they used to be for a reason. This is usually where we always take family when they come to town, but likely will not be any longer. Very disappointing. read more

Breakfast is pretty much breakfast. Unless the eggs or oatmeal is really screwed up, it's always pretty good. Hard to stand out, be exceptional. Chappy's manages to stand out. From the classic heavy coffee mugs to the quality cutlery, one gets the feeling of quality & attention to detail. Love the Conecuh sausage. Sausage can be a personal thing, yes, but it's hard to not appreciate the quality in this. Try their Conecuh hash. Over easy eggs are exactly that. Grits are not the cheap run of the mill grits but closer to the grits that hide in the hills and hollows of the deep country. Coffee is always fresh - get the impression that it's a high quality bean, very well brewed but, more importantly, never allowed to sit on the warmer very long. Place is spotless. I've enjoyed eating at Chappy's Deli for years, breakfast, lunch or dinner, it's all good. They have a good variety of choices on the menu and a good family atmosphere with a great kid's menu. My favorite for breakfast is the fajita omelette and for lunch or supper they have the best reuben sandwich in town. I like their soups and for lighter meals the soup or salad and half sandwich is a good choice. On Saturday they serve breakfast until noon, which is good if you like to sleep in a little, but it can get busy because it's a local favorite, and you might have to wait, but not too long and it's worth it. I will continue to enjoy eating at Chappy's and I recommend it to anyone. read more
